There is a special dadgad capo that only hits the A, D and G strings. Place it two frets up from the nut on standard tuning to get dadgad. Also, you can use a regular capo with the dadgad capo up two frets for a different key. Just be careful when trying to play Em.

As usual. Amazing video but Justin. Your my last hope for a video showing how to do the solo for boys light up. I have searched everywhere for it. No tabs, Tutorials or anything. I've tried watching a video of someone playing it but its to hard to breakdown. If you could do this it would seriously make me the happiest person ever. You have taught me almost everything i know and i would really appreciate it. I've also recently joined a band and boys light up is the first song we are playing. It would really help. Hope you get to have a read. Thanks heaps and keep up the good work. (Band is called Wide Load in case you were wondering)

Cool I didn't know that this song was in DADGAD - Speaking of this tuning. Justin please go check out a guy named Corey Heuvel - is wrote this song called Mother Devine in DADGAD and it is wonderful. Please trust me when I tell you, you will like this song. I can't play it but I know you could. You will love it. I swear. It is so beautiful and catchy. Corey has not yet released a studio version but he performs his originals along with many covers on his livestreams every Friday. Not sure you will even read this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I swear you will appreciate this guy and his acoustic guitar music.

I love ur tutorial a lot :) but I recently figure it out when ed performing it he put the capo on the 2 , the tones is lower and it sounds same when u put the capo off in this tunning , so I think ed use a slightly different tuning , so he put capo on 2 , to make the tone lower , easier for him to sing , u can check his live performances and compare to this . Anyway thx for the tutorial

Justin, ty so much for all the great lessons! Especially this song. This Photograph song is my dream song to play. But I have just one quick question: my left hand is always tense and makes changing to/from bar F chord in playing songs much harder than in 1 min change. Been practicing for over 3 months and stil no progress. Is there any tips that can help me relax my left hand a bit? Thank you so much again, your lessons make my guitar dream come true. Hope you have a great day.

Danoe B-G Just the open DADGAD is like a Dsus4 chord. The first chord is like a D5 chord. Meaning there's no third in it. But *not* a D major!

the last note of the riff melody in and F#, so that implied the D major tonality, the sequence of chords are also D major key chords - so it's certainly in D!
