"As far as the fingering goes, you'll just have to find what's comfortable". Not only is he a legend at the guitar but he's dispensing advice that would have served me well in my youth !!! 😉
Justin, you are part of my life, and no doubt, thousands of others. Thank you for the years of beautiful playing, patient tuition and for your ever smiling face: even with a black eye and broken knuckles :)
it's good to keep these songs in your back pocket, always ready to pull them out and impress people at a party or something at a moments notice. easy to play with a high payoff
@@practicerepo yeah idk what i was on 4 years ago, i’d much rather play alone at home for fun than trying to impress people i don’t care about at a party lmfao
Ah, Justin, you are the best. And you keep me laughing thinking, "Man, I'm glad it's in the key of D and not F - especially around the 10:05 mark." Love your work. Keep it up! :-)
I had such a good laugh with you trying to fit the chord names into the verses :-D Great lesson as often. Thank you, Justin! Keep up the good work! I always appreciate your videos and have already learned so much from them. Cheers and all the best from Germany :-)
Justin, can you make a tutorial of Can't Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley but the way you play it in the end of the video you made of the song? (sorry for my bad english)
There is a special dadgad capo that only hits the A, D and G strings. Place it two frets up from the nut on standard tuning to get dadgad. Also, you can use a regular capo with the dadgad capo up two frets for a different key. Just be careful when trying to play Em.
I've tried putting the riff into tab, is what I've done right?: frett/string = 5/3 2/1 2/0 2/1 5/3 3/0 4/3 4/2 only been playing a couple of months and love your tutorials 👍
As usual. Amazing video but Justin. Your my last hope for a video showing how to do the solo for boys light up. I have searched everywhere for it. No tabs, Tutorials or anything. I've tried watching a video of someone playing it but its to hard to breakdown. If you could do this it would seriously make me the happiest person ever. You have taught me almost everything i know and i would really appreciate it. I've also recently joined a band and boys light up is the first song we are playing. It would really help. Hope you get to have a read. Thanks heaps and keep up the good work. (Band is called Wide Load in case you were wondering)
Hi Justin, just wanted to say thanks for these amazing videos they've helped me so much! Also there's a song called Southern State by The Record Low that I can't seem to find a tab or video for anywhere, if you could do a lesson on it I would be forever grateful :)
Cool I didn't know that this song was in DADGAD - Speaking of this tuning. Justin please go check out a guy named Corey Heuvel - is wrote this song called Mother Devine in DADGAD and it is wonderful. Please trust me when I tell you, you will like this song. I can't play it but I know you could. You will love it. I swear. It is so beautiful and catchy. Corey has not yet released a studio version but he performs his originals along with many covers on his livestreams every Friday. Not sure you will even read this, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I swear you will appreciate this guy and his acoustic guitar music.

@@JustinGuitarSongs Nice Bot J - I know your a busy guy so don't worry about it. Maybe some of your guitar fans will appreciate his work. Maybe I've never heard you go full tilt, but you might have a hard time going toe to toe with him.
I love ur tutorial a lot :) but I recently figure it out when ed performing it he put the capo on the 2 , the tones is lower and it sounds same when u put the capo off in this tunning , so I think ed use a slightly different tuning , so he put capo on 2 , to make the tone lower , easier for him to sing , u can check his live performances and compare to this . Anyway thx for the tutorial
Hi Justin =) Thank you for this lesson, it's amazing, so is your work in general. Do you have a tab for the intro ? It's easier for me to learn when I see a tab than just listening. Thanks !
Justin, ty so much for all the great lessons! Especially this song. This Photograph song is my dream song to play. But I have just one quick question: my left hand is always tense and makes changing to/from bar F chord in playing songs much harder than in 1 min change. Been practicing for over 3 months and stil no progress. Is there any tips that can help me relax my left hand a bit? Thank you so much again, your lessons make my guitar dream come true. Hope you have a great day.
would really appreciate a tutorial on bodys by car seat headrest. He's done a tiny desk concert and played that song, I've struggled to figure it myself (I've not been playing very long) so a lesson would be a huge help. no worries if not i can appreciate its not a well known song
why the hell am I learning guitar properly and then seeing this feeling why the hell we dont just learn this way first ....I might not have givn up all them years back/
I love all your stuff Justin, please please do 'in hell I'll be in good company' by the dead South. I've got the chords, but I can't arrange the banjo picking for guitar. I know it can be done! If you do a lesson on it, I swear I'll cover it and post it. Check my cover of hurt too ;-) nuttin but love, (another) nustin
the last note of the riff melody in and F#, so that implied the D major tonality, the sequence of chords are also D major key chords - so it's certainly in D!
Guys If you want another option to play this song one by one tell me I have someones video that showes. its in hebrew so you just need to see his hands not that hard...

can you please make one for Black, Pearl Jam?
never found a nice accoustic beginners version
capo on the 2nd fret to get it to match the scale of the original
When you put the capo on 2nd fret. Do you keep it in DADGAD tuning?
Thank you so much Justin!!!
Brilliant lesson. Cheers.

Sounds amazing in DADGAD!
This how Ed plays it? cool 😊
How he does it live now!

Sounds very good...what brand of guitar do you use?
Runnershigh75, Justin plays almost exclusively, Maton acoustics, an Australian brand. Hard to find in the states. Would love to play one.

is just me or is that an implied D major chord. meaning there's no third. it's like one huge power chord
Danoe B-G Just the open DADGAD is like a Dsus4 chord. The first chord is like a D5 chord. Meaning there's no third in it. But *not* a D major!
I think the major is implied. There's no third in the chord but I think a D major would work there too.
the last note of the riff melody in and F#, so that implied the D major tonality, the sequence of chords are also D major key chords - so it's certainly in D!
@@danoeb-g418 The whole point of dadgad is to work with both major and minor modes considering it has a 4th

His voice is fine. He is singing in his vocal range.

BlueHen123 how can u tell? Lol i wasnt even paying attention

How could you possibly break a string tuning down?
