I work for a large supply house in the North East, and we sell the Milwaukee brand tools. As I'm not a contractor using these tools all day every day, I have absolutely no issues using my Bauer tools. I just added the Hackzall to my Bauer lineup with this one being my 2nd brushless tool from Bauer. I've been extremely impressed with their quality and power, and for a typical homeowner need, they're perfect IMOP.

Great review, thanks. I think the key thing is to pick one brand of battery tool and stick to that to make best use of battery investment. We tend to buy brushless tools too. Reciprocating saws are not fun to use due to the vibration but they are an essential tool to have

I love all 25 of my Bauer and Hercules tools, best budget tools for the price.

I have one of these. Kick butt saw. After a year the little brain in it's switch died. You have to take the battery out and put it back in to make a cut..... Dang it. Love all my Bauer tools and this is the first to give any problem.

I'm having same issue. Is there any solution? Fix?

I fixed it by keeping it running for about 30 seconds continuously after inserting the battery.

I have this exact same one-handed reciprocating saw and I love it I think it's awesome and I like it so much I'm actually thinking about getting the Hercules one as well even though I don't really need it I just kind of would like to have 2 and because I have 1 Hercules battery and 1 charger so far but I only have the Hercules brushless hammer drill driver so far as a tool from Hercules but I have a lot from Bauer but I think this saw is awesome and I really don't know what the differences between this one and the Hercules are except for that the Hercules might be slightly more expensive and it definitely has a much better warranty and obviously the color is blue compared to red from Bauer but regarding the blades Diablo from home depot are probably the best and the Milwaukee blades are pretty darn good as well both from home depot but the Hercules and the Bauer blades are alright also and I have used some of the Warrior blades but they're really not that great because they do bend sometimes like if you're cutting a fairly thick branch like from an olive tree or almond tree both of which have really hard wood because I have both of those kinds of trees in my yard and the cheaper thinner Warrior blades do tend to bend much easier but for the price they're OK unless you're rich then just buy the more expensive blades but I have all of these brands of blades that I just mentioned and I think like for trimming tree branches the Diablo pruning blades that are red color from home depot are probably the best that I know of just to tell you but go pick some up and let me know what you think or make a video cutting some tree branches or something if you want man but cool video and also just to tell you at first I thought the Diablo blades didn't fit in this Bauer reciprocating saw or the other 2 handed ones because I have 1 brushed 2 handed Bauer 20v reciprocating saw also as well as 1 brushless 20v reciprocating saw and the Diablo blades at first didn't seem like they fit because the blades themselves are thicker but if you just push a little bit harder they will fit but those blades definitely feel like they're much better quality and they won't bend nearly as easy and I'm sure they'll last longer but they are more expensive also of course and regarding the brushless technology supposedly your batteries will last longer using a brushless tool as well which can be really important and a good thing.

I've been contemplating a cordless chainsaw. I think this is more versatile and a better option. I have several Bauer tools. They've been great for home use.

Do some research on the bauer chimney saw. Mixed reviews on the quality and usability. Apparently, some have found the chain adjustment on it doesn't keep.it tight and the chain falls off. A lot. This is has stopped me from buying it....

You don't need anything over the 5 amp hour batteries, they work fine for all the tools, but if you get the 8 amp hour batteries you need the 3 amp battery charger, because the charger that comes with the drill will not charge the bigger battery.

What do you mean by “brushless”? Thx

@@kennywhite6377Traditional tool motors have brushes. Brushless motors do not have them. They are supposed to be better at adjusting the resistance needed for a given task and last longer.I think Makita was the first brand to offer brushless cordless tools in the early 2000’s
