Hello Arupji, I watched your entire video because I liked your father, the great character actor late Mr. Tarun Bose. I had watched his movie directed by Bimal Roy named Anupama. But I was unknown that he had completed his education in Nagpur. I think he was from Bengal. Then how & why did he come to Nagpur for education? Please tell me more about him.
Mr. Tarun Bose was not from Bengal, he was only born there. After his birth my grand mother returned to Nagpur with my father who was a baby then. My grandfather was a resident of Nagpur and had a house there. My father was all along a Nagpur resident. Let me correct you sir, Anupama was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Bimal Roy had died much before Anupama was made.
@@AroopBose O my God! I mistook that the movie Anupama was directed by Bimal Roy. Thanks for your correction. There was another movie named Bandini, in which Tarun Bose was a jailer and it was surely directed by Bimal Roy, Nutan was in lead role.
@@sharadkumardhakade5561 You are right. Bandini indeed was directed by Bimal Roy. An interesting information I would like to give some information here and that is Dharmendra considers his role in Bandini a major break in his film career. Working with Bimal Roy was always considered very important.
Sir could you tell how he left so young ? The cause of his passing away is not listed anywhere ! I really wonder why such talented actors like Sanjeev Kumar , Tarun Bose ji and Mr Uttam kumar etc died so young !! Also I wonder if your mother was also an actress??
He had a sudden heart attack one fine morning. He was playing badminton when it happened. Our family doctor was called, he spoke to my father but he passed away before anything could be done. No, my mother was not an actress, she was a normal housewife; she was a great lady and a great cook and of course a very good and loving mother. I owe a lot to my mother.
