- Welcome to Reactionize - our quest to react and review every single Def Leppard track! It's a long, fun journey, so we hope you'll stay with us.
Def Leppard released Songs from the Sparkle Lounge in April of 2008. After dropping their first single, 'Nine Lives' (a collaboration with country star, Tim McGraw) Def Leppard released their only other official single, 'C'mon, C'mon'. This anthemic rocker, penned by Rick Savage, is a catchy sing-along song with a repetitive chorus that some will love and others will find monotonous. Which camp do you fall into with 'C'mom, 'C'mon'? Do you love it? Is this a miss? Do you like Songs from the Sparkle Lounge in general? Comment below, and we'll be sure to respond.
Cheers, enjoy Reactionize, and as always...ROCK ON!

If you grew up watching M-TV, you know that almost EVERY video made no sense, but loved every one of them.......
Haha...great point! Its probably why I like their live videos best...acting wasn't quite their jam LOL!
Love this song......
😊😊😊😊
todd your fired lol
I've tried, Ronnie... he always finds a way back LOL!
Defleppard Rule!🤘A question: Have you guys ever heard or seen a live performance of 'Kick love into motion'?
Honestly, I haven't, and I wish they would play it someday. Such an underrated song! To the best of my knowledge, they've played every song off Adrenalize live except Heaven Is, Personal Property, and Stand Up (and I Wanna Touch You was a one-time performance for the video, I believe). Can't wait to review more of Adrenalize, a great album full of underappreciated gems. Cheers! ~A
Yeah, Stand Up is such a well made song! as most of their songs are but that one has a unique sound that stands out to me.. so it seems weird to me that they never play it live. Anyway.. thanks for commenting back and keep up the good work🤘I'm a whiskey guy but cheers anyway.@@2TEN90
@@stablekingaol.sipher484 Love that you're a whiskey guy too! If you drink beer, we may be your channel being all things beer, bourbon and rock n' roll, LOL!
I'll listen to it, not really a skip, but I havent added it to my playlist alogside 100+ other Def Leppard songs
That's a fair call. Don't hate it, don't love it, and will listen if it's on, but doesn't deserve a spot in the upper echelon of Leppard Tunes!
The lyrics are very repetitive but the music is catchy. It has a very glammy vibe- very Gary Glitter - Rock n Roll Pt. 2. Even a little Rocket with the drums. I wish they had better chorus. I did see it live, better that way. Wish it did have a guitar solo, would’ve elevated it. Close to being really good just missing the bullseye.
Agreed, and I commented to another viewer that that sums up the album in general. Had potential on a lot of tunes but were missing some of the magic. Almost like they were trying too hard for a hit radio-friendly song and came up short. Cheers!
Agree! I wish they would re-team with Mutt one last night. I think their collaboration is magic. Just missing that extra sprinkle of magic.
@@Torch-rl8se I would love to see that happen! He's definitely the sixth member of Def Leppard!
Mutt is their George Martin! 🤣
My two issues with this song that prevent it from being memorable is that it’s generic anthem and the lack of a guitar solo. Sav and Joe wear their musical roots on their sleeves and make no apologies for writing anthems. I understand why they want an anthemic song on an album but the anthem should better than this or Let’s Go.
Thanks for making Mondays and Wednesdays a lot better!
Thanks for the comments; George and I agree with you on all counts. What worked so well for Halos is that it felt like they were freely writing and showing off their influences without caring about the results, and it worked brilliantly. Sparkle Lounge, in general, looked like they were trying to capture the same media attention Bon Jovi was getting on the second leg of their career and were writing to try and fit in on the radio or CMT, and it just fell flat, even with Tim McGraw and Nine Lives. I think of Bad Actress as well, a song about Lindsay Lohan. Just seemed like they were reaching for a hit and it wasn't there on this album. Cheers ~A
Not a fan of the album name. It’s an okay song. The bridge/pre-chorus “Sometimes you win…” sounds a lot like Shania Twain. And what can be said about the video that hasn’t already been said.
Agreed, Adam - It does have a bit of a Shania vibe to it, which reflects their writing at the time and, ironically, without Mutt. It's not a bad tune, but it's far from their best. To me, that sums up Sparkle Lounge in general. Cheers! ~A
I’m a huge fan but this is the album I listen to the least. Sav tries to replicate sugar with everything he writes & it’s just not happening. At least for me anyway.
Go and Gotta Let It Go are the only listenable songs for me. Enjoyed the tour though. Met Joe by the buses at the Biloxi show & had him sign my Target DL guitar.
What's up, Kenny! And that's an awesome story! I'm with you on Sparkle Lounge and have commented to others it felt like they were trying too hard to replicate Bon Jovi's cashing in on radio-friendly and country tunes that catch a run on CMT, and it didn't really work. It's why I loved Halos; they were writing what inspired them without caring how it would do, and it was brilliant. Also agree; it was a great tour! Saw them twice on that leg, and they never disappoint! Cheers ~A
Hey guys it’s DefLeppardHD. My channel got deleted. For impersonation. I am beyond upset, sad, angry and etc. I lost all that hard work I achieved. I don’t have any of the videos anymore. It’s all gone. It won’t let me archive the videos or anything it just logged me out and that’s it. I tried to send a email to UA-cam team and they reviewed it and came to the conclusion of keeping my channel down. I’m not sure what to do. I guess it’s goodbye. There’s no way I can grow myself up from the bottom again.
Oh no!!! So they got you for using other creators videos? I am confused? Have you thought of starting a channel directed at reacting to Def Leppard content and or news? Almost like a Def Leppard news station? We certainly don't want to lose you from the Def Leppard community buddy!
@@2TEN90 No. they thought I was impersonating Def Leppard. When I was not and made it very clear many times I was just a fan. I’m not sure what to do as all my videos are gone. And UA-cam didn’t give me a chance to archive them. So I lost everything a lot of hard work
i love this song good CD better than X
Totally fair, and no arguments. X was a pretty divisive album for fans and even the band. I'm one of the few who love X, but in fairness, I like all their albums, LOL! Cheers, Ronnie ~A
