This is kind of amazing. What an awesome adaptation/mash-up of 2 fantastic games
That last run was hilarious, I was shocked that level 1 neurotoxin grenade did half of the level 20 boomerang tbh
It got all of the explosive buffs, which probably helped. Though acid damage is probably also just OP.
Stun Sweeper is not a very good weapon in general, looks cool, but is lacking damage wise even if you focus into it fully.
@@wanderbots Acid debuff apparently also lowers the monsters armor, making them take more damage from other sources.
So, it's pretty much always a good damage type to have on a "off-hand" weapon if not anything else.
@@wanderbots Acid DoT also increases all damage done to the mob while it's on. - I think the game calculates that extra % damage as done by the acid weapon, which it kind of does, but is also scaled by the other weapons' damage, so it benefited from your ice grenade significantly. That's why they're kind of misrepresented on the damage chart.
@@bathroomlew That owuld make the acid grenade damage the same as the acid, no? have a feeling the damage from the scaling others goes to acid damage type but not the weapon that put the poison, so it's still reflected as being from the frost grenade but in the types its counted as acid ?
On the topic of the lootbugs pushing you around and you expecting the opposite, they're muscular little suckers. Not only do they eat large quantities of heavy minerals (gold is actually kinda absurdly heavy for how malleable it is) and still move around just fine, but you can have your driller in the Mk5 drill suit, with the sludge pump, your giant power drills, a microwave cannon, enough plastic explosives to level a small country, and a handful of giant explosive axes, stand on top of one of them and they can still climb walls at their normal movement speed.
Buff lil dudes for sure.
And don't forget all the nitra and gold in your inventory atm
Thanks for addressing the reroll question. It looks like a fun game. I just hope they add some new maps and more meta progression options down the line.
The game is in like a early release ish stage and they have a road map up on steam if you want to look at it
An option to disable visual effects is very much needed 😂
This one needed a strobe warning, boss, especially by floor five.
In this video, we get to see Wander trying to outrun a nuclear winter of his own making.
That last run is actually painful to your eyes man, that cryogenic blue color burst
"boy I really need damage" *continues to not take damage upgrades until the very end*
These games need a transparency toggle i feel. A slider for your special effects so you can still see the enemies
Those explosions need their opacity levels turned down so you can see through them better. I feel like the effects also stack and so more explosions is kind of like a fog that gets thicker and thicker.
I love that they added Glacial Stratta while Wander was playing Cryo-nade driller... oh, they didn't?
the damage is from the grenat, the acid is what was left on the ground
I think you would do fine with a little more prioritization in DPS.
In the first map just make sure to have the damage to take down the elite.
your second gun was arguably most overpowered weapon in the game but sadly ita unreliable shooting direction makes it redundace to the point where minus accuracy became so good on that weapon
The main flaw of that last run was your focus on reload during later levels, you just needed more immediate damage to outpaced the end of level scaling. Also, I believe reload speed is exponentially scaled as you raise it
46:35 that's a tosser 😂😂😅
50:07 "nothing is worse than losing a game to a bug" That made me chuckle. Isn't that the whole point of the game . Bugs trying to kill you haha.
Different kinda bug, but still.
I'm amused by how little the axes were being thrown throughout much of that last run.
Bahahahhaa driller became Dr. Freeze!!! I was gonna say that even the early on freeze grenade was hitting stuff on the other side of a wall all the way around it's explosive range while you were mining a escape route
That cryo-grenade was migraine inducing but awesome.
If you really want a really strong Juggernaut Gunner, Magma Core is the place to go; take chip damage from the lava floor and get all the damage boost you need, and it gets silly sometimes XD
Hopefully they bring this to console after the early access period is over. I’m a sucker for these types of games and will dump hours upon hours into them.
Redefining bomb cyclone!
The burstfire gun and the other 4-way gun are both good ONLY once you get them to level 18. Before that, they are total garbage imo. Also, I had one run where I got both the Leadstorm and Thunderhead up to level 19 and the DPS of the Leadstorm was actually almost 50% higher than the Thunderhead in the run summary at the end.
Hey Wander: you know you can right-click (even in the shop, and the level-upgrade options) to check your weapon stats? So you can check your reload speed to see if buying the upgrade is meaningful.
Still in the first run but can'thelp feel your problem tends to be that you un=prioritize xp early so hard that you have no chance to get any clear before the enemies get too strong/numerous. If you try for xp early then you can more easily clear and therefor clear the map afterwards
Use the exploding guys more, give yourself some breathing room
I've never checked, but now wonder; since the acid DoT also has a debuff increasing the damage done to bugs, then does the temperature shock from the original DRG also exist in this game?
In the FPS wherever you freeze a burning enemy or set a frozen one on fire you remove the debuff (frozen/on fire) and instantly deal a fixed amount of damage.
49:20 ...... well...... that's a bug lol
Navigation by damage numbers.
I love watching your videos bc we have the same brain XD
Don't you always lose a game due to a "bug" in one shape or another in this game? 😆
Heavy revolver Bulldog just sucks at early to mid game
Acid Grenade is way better than the Stun Sweeper
I'm just guessing here; I presume you did more acid damage because the acid lingers in the area causing DOT and the damage for the actual grenade is based on the initial hit and explosion. Granted, I'm just guessing that's how the game calculated those damage numbers you saw at the end of that last run.
Farmed the shi out of hazardous 5
Somebody come up with a definition for "Sasquatch Me" and add it to Urban Dictionary please and thank you.
this game is very fun, but the progression seems a bit off for me, takes so long to unlock the subclasses and weapons that you'll probably get bored before most of these unlocks,
i think this is intended, since the game lacks content due to being early access, but boy oh boy, its slow even if you factor in that information...
Can you stop, I see so much videos of this game I literally dont have time to watch them xD (Just finished previous one)
