So you have to take off 2 Handles to get the Bolt Carrier Group out ? Who makes your barrels for these Side Chargers ? Why should I buy your Side Charging Upper instead of say Bear Creek Arsenal ? What I love is you can order them Unassembled or Assembled, WHAT A GREAT IDEA, MORE COMPANIES SHOULD DO THIS FOR A LOWER PRICE, A+. Also FREE SHIPPING OVER $120.00 FREAKIN NICE. Thanks for the Update, DTT.
@ no there uppers aren’t badly priced there just garbage because they don’t work. I ended up going with Gibbz Armz side charging upper spend more money. But 1) There customer service response in less than 24 hours, 2) had zero issues with cycling. You get what you pay for.
The reciprocating charging handle is often criticized, but your fingers shouldn’t be anywhere near it while shooting. Your hands should be on the pistol grip and the handguard, only touching the charging handle when reloading or clearing a malfunction. A side-charging handle also doubles as a built-in forward assist, removing the need for extra mechanisms. In contrast, traditional ARs need an ambidextrous charging handle, bolt face changes, and two pluggable receiver holes to achieve a similar setup, which adds cost. The small, removable nub on a side charger is cheaper and more practical. Additionally, using a long optic on a traditional AR makes the rear charging handle difficult to reach, whereas a side charger avoids that problem entirely. Some say ‘just use the bolt release,’ but what if it fails? What if there’s a ‘death jam’? A rear-charging AR leaves you without a way to clear the malfunction. With a side-charging AR, you’re always directly manipulating the bolt, preventing any malfunctions from leaving you stranded. There’s no need for extra steps or tools-just use the system as it’s designed, and you’re ready for anything.
Just got a side charging .300 BO upper to use as a training rifle for stepping the grandkids up from .22s. It should be way easier for them to run the bolt than the conventional handle. Being raised with bolt actions, a Mossberg 351, then the Garand, M14 and M1 Carbine, the side charger just fits my six decades of muscle memory better than the rear handle.
Seriously, I like how these two are on a slightly different spectrum of experience and knowledge, between the two you can get the actual gist, ohhhh yeah....no complaints on anything my partners or I have ever had
I bought a 6mm arc complete upper from BCA and put it on a Ruger lower. I'm loving it. So much easier than trying to get your fingers under the scope's objective lens to get to the rear charger.
I got there dual side charging handle. Thing wouldn’t cycle at all. Put the gas block and barrel on a different receiver no cycle issues. Tried different grains 55 gr bolt didn’t even move. 62gr got very little movement from the bolt. Reached out to the company and no response. Don’t waste your time or money with Delta Tactical.
Ugh...not a fan of bolt in the bolt carrier. Non-reciprocating side chargers, like the Gibbz is so much better. Also doesn't throw off the balance of the bolt as it's moving back and forth, and doesn't require a proprietary bolt carrier. Glad to see some new stuff...but personally, not the side design for me.
Is this a Bear Creek Arsenal Gen1 receiver? P.S. I get your daily email and am often tempted by some of the build kits, but for one thing.... Here is praying that some day soon you sell out of the 2 million Keymod handguards you must have overstocked.
Great info. Thanks for the video
Informative. Glad I saw this.
Thanks for the information!!🎉🎉
Love the side charging ar. I’m running a brn180 10.5” wylde and it’s a smooth soft shooter

It will all depend on which side charging upper you get.
Don’t buy from theirs go to someone else
@@SigSauer93Why you say that, other than their uppers are a little pricey?

Forward assist is useless. You have a charging handle. It will clear the jam guaranteed.
@ damn straight.
I have several side charging uppers in my gun room. I love em...
Want to try one
This was a real nice video, I have a side-charging 9mm and I love it. GREAT video, very informative, thanks.

A side charger is for sure an easier way to run the bolt. And it's definitely a good idea to get what you are more comfortable with.
Exactly. I grew up shooting mini 14s and M1As. I consider myself an AK guy but I do like my side charging AR
Great video guys!
Learned a bunch thanks

We are glad we can provide you with the actual gist of things. Let us know if you have any ideas on what we should review next.
Been thinking about getting a side charging upper to put on one of my lowers.

Great option
I have always wanted a side charger.
You have a side charging option to use with Fightlite SCR?
No, the Fightlite is proprietary.
Being a lefty I love side chargers
If only there were more options for leftys.
@@DeltaTeamTacticalMedia Truth !
Would love to try one I thank it would be easier for me because of hand damage I have
Personally I find side chargers to be easier. Wishing you the best of luck finding something that works with your hand!
I need another upper! I want a 350 legend
Now ,,it is improve, minus forward assist, can push the bolt directly by the charging handle, like the AK
good info
Cool info
Gotta love it
Anyone try bear creek arsenal? Upper side charging setup

Ocular lens I meant.
Great video
Good info...
Might have to get a side charger now
What is holding you back?
@DeltaTeamTacticalMedia shared bank account with my wife
Great viedo
I would love to build a nonreciprocating side charging AR
Nonreciprocating side charging uppers do exists, we just don't offer them

Don't see them in stock on your site.
Interesting.
Love sidechaege
Interesting!
Love em
Awesome
I'd like to have a side charging upper.
Silly me. I thought "Mortaring and AR" would be to put it in the tube then watch it launch downrange. 🤪
I think I like it
Awesome
Cool
Nice
some ppl like to have options 😅
Interesting
love the concept, be great if they could come up with a none reciprocating design too
There are non reciprocating side charging uppers. We do not sell them b/c they require more proprietary parts and cost $100-$150 more.
@@DeltaTeamTacticalMedia thanks I will have to check that out
cool
All you need to know is that they are superior
nice
