I'm adopted from an orphange in Russia and have some birth defects, my sister too, I used to say we came off the "discount rack" haha!
More appropriately, the irregular rack. 😄
We all did!!!!!!!!
You are ❤PRICELESS❤
Nancy is a great example of the difference between comedy and humor. As Grady Nutt - one of our favorite humorists (RIP) - noted, "Comedy is the fun you make up. Humor is the fun you observe." Indeed, great humor can arise from the toughest, darkest moments of our lives, especially when we learn to laugh at ourselves in those situations rather than lashing out at everyone else. Having a sense of humor is not in most lists of virtues, but it is, and one that is desperately needed these days.
Thank you for your thoughtful and kind words. I am preparing to start a pod cast called "Tromedy" to help folks isolated with trauma join in the conversation and spin our traumas into humor to help heal. Stay tuned.
What if I asked God can you fix my lazy eye....God said are you talking to me 🤣
She needs to have her own show.. she’s the real deal
She’d be an AMAZING talk show host.
Yes! Her own sitcom. Great idea!
I scared my cats because I laughed so hard!
💯
✨🌈🤣👏💖👏👏🎶💕
!!! Y E S !!!
I'd never heard of this woman before finding this video this evening, and I have to say: she's really good. I hope she finds a wider audience, but even if she doesn't, she seems to be spreading joy wherever she goes; she certainly gave some to me. Thanks for the laughs, Nancy!
Wow! Thank you so much Deborah!!! It is a long story, but I have only been able to let my light shine to smaller audience because of some unhealthy childhood belief's I am still trying to correct. You are motivating me to clear those blocks. So thank you for the encouragement!
@@nancynorton2854 ❤❤❤
Yeah she is hilarious and self deprecating in the best way! 👌
Besides being a legitimately funny lady, that last story about her son truly touched my heart.
Me too. Timely as well since I've been thinking about adoption.
@@Solenne3 Oh, that's great! Good luck!
Me, too! I feel so happy for her!
So that last story gave you that "tingle" as well.
There’s definitely quite a few gems in here. Lol.
What a sweet and kind soul, and she is a great comedian too!
That says it all👍🙏
And all that energy. WOW !! I got out of breath just trying to listen and keep up.
I bet she accepted this gig right away then re-arranged her set for the audience/venue. Being a comedian is one of the toughest forms of art, but Nancy hit a home-run with this one. Very impressed

Ppl don't often realize just how hard stand up is. All that memorization!! And it can't be easy to maintain that energy level for a set longer than 20 min. You're right!!!
Yes!!
I was having a bad day today. I opened up the Dry Bar channel and clicked on your video. I feel so much better now. Thank you for being the funny, kind, gentle soul you are. Keep us laughing, please.
Thank you and I am so glad you're day was uplifted by watching my special... feels so good to know I am on my life purpose. When I do live shows, I try to remember to put out this prayer, "may people leave feeling better than when they walked-in." Thank you again for sharing
Didn't think she would be this funny, holy crap, I had tears in my eyes!
thank you
I love Nancy’s humor!
She is a wholesome joy.
Thank you Drybar.
Bring her back please!❤️😆😆🤣😂🤣😃🤣😂😃🤣😂😄😁❤️
thank you
She's a keeper.
She was born for this job. Very likable, engaging and great sense of humor. Another dry bar gem 💎 that I can rewatch many times when I need a good laugh. Thanks Nancy! 💟

ok loolo OOH 😮 or loo
Easy bake ...good times..great week
I was going to bed but stayed up to watch her!
Worth it!
Lol
Tonight that's me
But needed some funny 😁
With laughter.. less stress.. better sleep 😴
I think every boy secretly wanted an easy bake oven too. I’m 35 and I still want one dammit but lightbulbs aren’t what they used to be
Great post! I agree about lightbulbs. Are they DELIBERATELY destroying our eyesight?!
My son wanted an Easy Bake, so I got him one.
@@cnlbrett When I asked my mom if I could get on for Christmas she said, "Just use the big one in the kitchen!"
Nancy is a charming, talented comedian. She definitely _is_ a "keeper!"
Nancy is so funny, but most important thing is she has a beautiful heart.
The crap circle joke was awesome!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. We have intentional additions in my family and it's a blessing as much for us as they say it is for them. Love is love and when it's real it doesn't see flaws and imperfections. It sees dreams and possibilities. ❣️❣️❣️❣️✴️✴️✴️✴️✴️
I really like her! That 'spider veins' bit was great!
And that line, 'They don't make Nancy's anymore' 😅
A lot of comedians make fun of themselves and it's not always funny... but SHE REALLY DOES IT BEST!
👏👏👏
Laughing is good for the soul. Nancy, is wonderful & no cussing !!! It's difficult today to find an amazing comedian that relies on their talent to stand on It's own without using the "F" word etc. I love her !! She should definitely have her own show !! 🥰😅🤣😂
Dry bar comedy is gold in that sense; comics that rely primarily on telling humorous stories rather than simply swearing where most people wouldn't.
Thank you for your kind words. No one used swear words in our home and I know my parents would agree with you Penny!I must admit I do enjoy dropping some f-bombs here and there in real life... this special challenged me to work clean and I am so glad you liked it!
She’s one of the best y’all have had in awhile. Funny and sweet. Great timing and good stories. Hilarious.
Thank you
Them hot flashes ain't no joke ... I was riding with my aunt on a road trip up north in the winter with the windows all down, the AC on high and everyone else in the car bundled up while she's over there sweating LMAO then as soon as it "passes" she cranks the heat on full blast cause now she's cold lol
What a special performance. Funny, kind, real, heartwarming. ‘Playing cowboys and Indians w an oven on my hip’. 🤣 Glad you and Biswas got to share your lives together. ❤️
Cyclops with a lazy eye … you are a funny lady, and so is your comic writer son! ☺️
She was great!! What a precious situation as to how she adopted her son!
She has me rollin!! 😂
Hello kitty! Brings back childhood memories of my girls✌️
Go Nancy! She is finally being recognized on the level of Chappelle, Birbiglia, and Burr. She needs a Netflix or HBO Special.
Wow! thank you for your kind words
"He's got corn on his nose!"
"I'm trying to keep slack in the line..." Hilarious!!
This is one of the BEST FEMALE COMIDIANS I HAVE HEARD IN YEARS!!!!!! SERIOUSLY HOPED SHE PUBLISHES THAT BOOK!!! I'LL BUY IT FOR EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY!!!👏👏👏🙏🤣🤩😻👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍💞
I'll buy it for everyone at my tray-table!
Rite, seems like females are a lot less funny, but this chick is awesome!!!!
Yes, yes, yes. She is funny! I really enjoy listening to her. What a natural.
RAISED BY A WILD PACK OF WIENER DOGS 🤣
Nancy was my favorite from the Ladies Night Dry Bar they posted Saturday
Stoked that I got to see her whole set
Dry bar killing it once again
Right? 👏👍👏
Oooh, a catheter and a leg bag!! That’s so wrong!!!🤣🤣🤣
She’s hilarious
I nearly spit my drink out when she talked about asking God to fix her lazy eye and his response...too flipping funny!
That was my favorite. So much for an all-knowing God!
That was my best... I literally spit out my coffee 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
I have a lazy eye and finding humor in that is funny 😁
Yep!- I think that was my favourite joke, too!...I kept thinking of it today, when I was doing serious work (as a nurse!, also), and it would make me laugh!...that was a good one! 😀
@@corabevill-thomas4632 me too 😂
One of life's great joys, to discover someone new (to me) who is totally, refreshingly fabulous. Thank you Dry Bar - and Nancy XX
Wow, not only is she hilarious, she's adorable. What an amazing person she seems to be. 👍🥰😆😂🤣😆🤣😂😆
Thank you
I'm a great grandmother and that catheter thing sounds like a dream.
Thank heavens for this channel! I have small children and this channel helps save my sanity almost every night.
Laughed all the way and even teared up at the end, this lady has a beautiful spirit too, I feel warm inside after her set... not something that happens often with standup!
I know!! It was like an inspiring Ted Talk with extra humor 😄
Yes. Very enriching. Who knew humor could do that. Impressive.
I felt the same way, first time ever while watching a Dry Bar comedienne that I went from tears of laughter at her unique, crazy sense of humor, to tears of love and admiration for this tough, loving woman and her struggle to get her son. Nancy is an awesome human being!

Fellow adoptive mom here . . .
We have a lot in common, Nancy-we find our best material *at home* and have lots of reasons to laugh (sometimes so we don’t cry). Well done!
Yay! Shout out to all the Ozark vegetarians. There are at least a hundred of us and we grow our own! What she says is so, so true about the Ozarks. We put our very first "tiny home" underground--for temperature control and tornado protection. We still use it as a root cellar now that we have a real underground house. People in the Ozarks are survivors.
Thats super cool, smart, practical, adaptable.
Sandra, so fantastic to know you're out there! Let's do an Ozark-vegetarian Root cellar show next time I'm in the area!
I love her energy, finding the humor in the normal which makes it relatable.
Thank you
😆 i like the trailer/ tiny home reference
This woman is awesome! Was laughing beginning to end along with cathartic bursts of laughs, her accent made me feel right at home. Loved the heartfelt story of her adopting her son too!
Nancy actually had me laugh out loud. Not an easy task. I have ADHD as well. (no Dachshund, but a crazy cat that runs around as if his butt were on fire) I also have depression and watch a ton of comedians to try to feel better. Rarely do I laugh out loud. Thank you Nancy.
In the trenches with ya.
I agree with you. I do exactly what you do, I battle with depression and watch this to help make me laugh. Take care! 💜🤗
I am there with you as well. Laughing is good for the soul. Nancy, is wonderful & no cussing !!! It's difficult today to find an amazing comedian that relies on their talent to stand on It's own without using the "F" word etc. I love her !! She should definitely have her own show !! 🥰😅🤣😂
Same. Force myself to watch comedy to find the funny again. Nancy had me chuckling early on!! And she should be on Broadway with the panache and voice!! Stalagmites come from Ground the G
Stalactites C Ceiling
I like your sense of humor. It really is the best medicine. Keep laughing through your trials.
Enjoyed meeting another Nancy with a lazy eye! Lol! You have a wonderful sense of humor and a loving personality. Thanks and blessings for cheering us up and on! 🙏👏👍👍👵
Funny lady. We grew up darn near alike.
I love her! Must go find more of her performances.
I was saying the same exact thing!!!
Nancy is fantastic! This is funny, uplifting and sweet. A rare combination.
Hello Nancy. I was born in Nepal and lived there for 14 years. I appreciated your story.💕
Retired nurse here. Great comedy. Thanks.
This lady is so hilarious!!
Outstanding! Nancy tells us her story in an engaging manner that anyone can relate to. Her humor is honest, respectful, and genuinely funny. A true delight! More please!
I like her, she's funny. 😄
That hit home... I adopted my dog when she was 6 months old and when laying in bed that night she licked my face...I have home thanks Dad.. she's 13 now...best dog ever
I love everything about her. What a wonderful adoption story. And she's an awesome comedian.
The way I learned it was, "Stalactites hang tight to the ceiling, Stalagmites might grow up to meet them someday." Thanks for a very funny show!
I always just remembered the T stands for top
Yep, I was told: “T” Top, “G” Ground. But Nancy’s is funnier!
Stalactites. C for ceiling.
Stalagmites. G for ground.
@WitchBitch - Ah, even better! In fact, that was probably it, and I forgot even that 😜
I forgot about the Easy Bake Oven. She describes things so spot on I was transported back to being a 7 yr old. 🙃 🤪 😄
I can remember the taste and texture of the chocolate cake batter 😜
For nostalgic purposes, y’all may wanna try the 50 cent cakes at Walmart … very EasyBake-ish. Plus, even a person on a tiny house budget can afford one!
Does anyone remember there being a Susie Bake Oven?
If not my kid memory must have turned "Easy" into "Susie"
Love her! Bring more Nancy!
She is my absolute favorite now that I've heard her! Thank you! I always enjoy dry bar comedy! Lots of great, funny people!
Thank you Nancy Norton! You had me laughing from the beginning to the end of your show. Your wittiness is a breath of fresh air. Thank you for sharing the beautiful reunion story with your son.
Amazing storyteller/comedian/humanitarian. I spent her entire routine laughing and trying not to fall off my chair
Very funny. I would have loved to work with her as a fellow nurse. I'll bet she kept everyone in "stitches"🤣🤣
Good one
I wasn’t sure at first… but this lady grabbed my heart… wonderful show!❤️
so entertaining & great delivery. You can tell she really likes ppl. "thanks for doing the job I couldnt do " had me laughing out loud. I also went into nursing as a programmed codependant and quit after 9 yrs. Doing a much better fit now & loving it. God bless
She feels the room with such a humorous positive vibe! I loved her
She is funny. Love her.😄
Love her!! Amazing, unforgettable, gifted!
Really fresh comedy. Great storyteller and interesting perspective on things. One of the most interesting comedians I have seen lately.
Wow! thank you
I live in a 4 bedroom mobile home. I am proud of my house!
Nurse to nurse, you did a cardioversion on my outlook! Thank you
I am from the Ozarks too. And I live in a tiny house in an RV park. Lol
Do not try to eat while watching this…laughing so hard I almost choked….forget about 5 stars or thumbs up to rate comedy, I go with asphyxiation and cramping cheeks.
😄😄
Such a complete Joy watching and listening to your twist to the trials of your life. I, too, at 64 am a firm believer that laughing and having a sense of humor is one of the important things in life. It will be 3 years in September without 1 day or 1 hour off, of 8-11 hour days. If you think that doesn't require a sense of humor, the patience of Job and great Faith......
Laugh til you cry, or through your tears. All that to say, Many Thanks for a break at the end of one more hard day.
Talented doesn't even begin to describe her.
A great and well rounded human being we all should aspire to be more like minded
I second on the comments, Nancy was hilarious, unique, sweet, heartfelt, and took us on a journey through an incredible story. Would love to see more. 👏🤗❤️
Awesome bits! Super relatable, especially ADHD, codependency and the power of humor!
She’s amazing!!!🤣🤣🤣
I haven't laughed out loud this much in ages. She is so engaging and so funny. It's hard to understand why she isn't famous already. Great comedy!
She's funny!! Great sense of humor and great timing, I like her and will watch this one again.
👏 👏 Standing ovation 👏 👏
Best dry bar act I've watched. So awesome, remembering funny things in live along with lifetime motivation.
I’ve seen many talented comedians on DryBar YT; Nancy Norton is absolutely my favorite. Spectacularly funny, yet not afraid to offer a dab of poignancy, especially at the end. She brings tears of both laughter and joy, with perfect delivery and an eloquence I’ve not seen in a comedian. Thank you, Nancy. Please come to NY soon so my friends & I can see you live.
Laughing is good medicine. Thank you.
💖Nancy Norton! 🤣🙏🏼
Brilliant! Perfect timing. Great relatable jokes. Great stage presence. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
She's Great! Good humor and a kind soul ❤️
what a great person with a wonderful heart and she's hilarious on top of that!
I loved Nancy's show! She made me laugh and 'oooooh' and tear up a bit. She's great human being, best wishes to her and her family!
amazing and talented woman! please do more parent comedy, I'm an older, single mom of ivf twins and can relate!
I listen to stand up comedy every day and you are the funniest in years. Great story too.
This is by far the funniest Dry Bar special I've seen! I laughed out loud so many times! Awesome!
A female comedian that doesn't run sex into the ground and actually uses well thought-out subject matter to capture the audience... she's an original. A breath of fresh air.💕
Although, she started to loose her audience quickly with the diaper story, but she smoothed it out on a positive note about adoption in the end.☺️👍
"Give it up for adoption!" was a brilliant line! I think she put that one into the act to test how swift the audience is. XD
I would love to meet this lady at a RV park or something while we were both traveling across country
So great. Now I'm never gonna forget the mites & tights either! Thanks for that... You know... I've also worked in Palliative Care and I too came away with a different perspective on life. But then I got busy... for a couple of decades... and kind of 'forgot'. And now I'm sitting here in semi-retirement with all these plans - on hold for no good reason - like setting up my painting studio and getting back to creating etc. etc. and you've just given me a great big boot up the proverbial. "Get off your arse and Do What You Love!" So Thank you for that - Seriously.
I've also worked with prospective adoptive parents and your story about the corruption so endemic in many source countries should be more widely circulated. Educating people about ways to prevent falling into such traps and also ways to navigate if you find yourself in one. I know every case is different but the old forewarned is forearmed still holds true. I wonder how much information is shared amongst different Adoption agencies - both within countries and Internationally. Or perhaps (showing my age here!} this happens much more effectively now between parents on-line. Such a great story to share at the end.
Much love to you and your son.❤
I laughed so hard and then somehow found myself crying even harder! Didn't imagine to find this kind of diamond in the rough on dry bar! Thank you for sharing, Nancy is truly one of a kind ♥️
I have lived in three mobile homes in my life and they are wonderful to renovate. One time here in Massachusetts in January we had three consecutive terrible snow storms in a row. So I put on my fake fur full length coat, climbed up on the roof and shoveled. As people drove by and looked up, they thought they saw a woman in a fur coat shoveling show off a roof LOL
That was amazing, funny and heartwarming. Now I have another comedian to my watch list.
