Super JT is at it again! great job getting the Hub-on/Painting the front side/and getting the tire back-on,, All that and u didn't stub a toe. Fluffy approved.
Awesome video content, on all your projects JT, May l suggest using Anti-seiz on your bolts n nuts when reassembling, keep up the great work, from Victoria Australia 🍻
Friday morning and dark ominous clouds outside. Good excuse to sit in my truck and watch JT. Feel better the tire is back on. Fluffy might get squished! Not bricklaying on the Eastern Shore!
JT, Thank you for taking the time to video, edit, post your work. I'm sure it will look very nice like the rest of your work. Always enjoy your channel. Boe 👍👍
Thank you for the education on the paint. I have several implements that need paint and your video helped me determine what to use going forward. Great start on your project! I look forward to watching the progress……
The most effective way to keep the noise down in the cab is to eliminate any direct access from the noise maker to the inside. Holes, wire pass throughs, seals, hydraulic hose pass throughs etc need to be sealed.
Looks great for a functional farm tractor and not intended to be a show queen. Can't wait to see the rest of it finished. The only thing I noticed is you didn't use antiseze in the Axel to prevent rusting again. Great job overall 👍.
I knew that you and “little John” would get that center back on , no problem- can we expect to see some green paint being sprayed in a future project? 💚💛
Your still on a roll J.T. Thanks for the skinny on what products your using for the M-F 1800, & of course we know the end result be nothing short of amazing; You have your technique down. & You had to dawn that Super Man T- Shirt on to get that Tonka wheel on LOL Nice video, & content; You sound busy so I'll have several BEERS FOR YA!🍻CHEERS😉.
When you can afford it buy yourself an engine lift. Or an over head gantry. Makes lifting heavy stuff way easier and safer. Look really cool in that beautiful shop
Just wanted to leave you a little friendly hello. I've been watching you for almost a year now, I know it's not that long but hey I'm a busy farmer just like you I don't have time for all that UA-cam stuff haha. I am a fourth-generation farmer from iowa, we do row crops and we have two hog confinement sites that I manage with approximately 4500 head. Anyway I always enjoy your videos and I really love your sense of humor . Its a long sad story so ill skip it for now but basically due to some very tragic circumstances i have been doing it pretty much on my own the last 3 years full time. Prior to that i was just helping out when needed. Im still trying to figure it all out but I have always wanted to be a farmer and i enjoy carrying on the family tradition (its a century farm est. 1901). My next "fun" project it to paint our diesel barrel and after watching your video im just going to use the same stuff you do with the exception of color..i live in john deere country..haha. Always look forward to your videos, keep up the good work! :)
See, you can take those sheets back into the house for the Better Half to put on the guest room bed. She will be so proud of her thoughtful husband for getting the new sheets. 😂😂 The tractor is going to look nice and be an awesome addition. Nice to see a farmer that doesn't need all of the modern mortgages...I mean tractors to grow crops. Great videos.
Good episode. As an old guy that spent years in the boat yards, I stick with marine paints mostly. High solids single stage w hardener for stuff that won't be weather/UV exposed all day every day. 2-Part for the super shiny bits. But, your use of Nason's is pretty good too. Had many friends that swore by Nason Paints. All looks good to me 😁
My dad and i just starting fixing up a Deutz-Allis tractor from 1985. We are using PPG dbc deltron 2000 in Deutz spring green. Man paint and supplies were so dang expensive!!! We love your videos and always look forward to Friday's and sundays when your videos come out!!
Right on! I appreciate it! PPG makes a good product, but I’ve never used them personally. Started selling DuPont when I was 18 and have been hooked ever since!
👍👍 good show , just saying , clear coat should be for metallic paint , I do 2 good coats of colour , then put extra thinner in last coat to bring a shiny finish ! Regards @masseydave
I know you have a plan for the heavy lifting, you always do. I would like to hear the plan from a gantry crane for the new shop so that we don't have to hold our breath when you're moving ridiculously heavy stuff around. 😁
I'll be watching this video a dew times. I have a 1085 that needs some repainting and watching your videos has really been helpful. Massey Kardashian is going to look pretty sweet once it's all done. All the best from Canada JT!!
Geez things have certainly changed over the years, when I was painting Centary was just coming out.Centary was so much easier to paint than enamel and I would set my devilbus gun at about 50 psi at the gun.
LOL .... shes lookin good now is it just me but it amuses me ... a dozen lugs holding the rim on yet four bolt holding the hub to axle , got a lot of respect for those bolts
Excellent video JT :) yes pretty up with new paint plus clear coat to and wheels be too ! Yes surprises me on Dupont paint changes name and my middle older brother used work them years ago after got his college degree in Mechanical engineering in 2005 was there till 2010 ! At Ontario Canada plant ! Keep up excellent work JT 👏 👍 👌 💪 🙌 😀!
Off to a great start. I think the big change will come with the cab roof, hood, and the front grille. The red on the majority of the tractor was faded and peeling in some areas, but the hood was the worst of it and the roof and grille weren't red originally and they have turned red from rust over time. It should make for a very nice looking tractor when it's done just based on the other one which is a really nice looking tractor.
The Massey is looking good one step at a time and it looks like ole Johnny is earning his keep in the process. I'll also give you a +1 Fluffy Token for the VP Racing poster. I may be a big fan of AMSOIL but anything VP Racing or Lucas are my secondary choices. :)
@@jtsbarnngrill6873 Nope, can't go wrong. I have a couple bottles of VP Racing 2-stroke oil to use up in my chainsaws before I start touching the AMSOIL. I'm hoping to do a lot of wood cutting this summer. :)
JT you do some great work to make them old tractors look good. Brother you got lucky putting that hub back on we do it all the time here at work sometimes they're easy but mostly they will fight you.
Mate great job mate time to break out the welder get some steel and h/Duty wheels and make a A-Frame for lifting in your new shop. It would Mate things a Hell off a lot safer for you . I made one years ago on the farm just for re-powering or tyre removal it made life alot easier. Australia
Looks great JT! Really appreciate the detailed explanation on the paint and spray equipment! Never done any spraying...but watching you work, thinking of trying it!
Hey JT, just a friendly word re wire wheels, I,ve had wires fly of them things and go several mm,s into my hand- I sure as hell won,t even start one up without goggles...
Nice one j.t as normal. She will be looking good at the end. You need to get yourself a engine crane. Or cherry pickers some off you call them. I no you got loader but you might not be able to get in some places. They are so had. But great job. From Andy in uk
@jtsbarnngrill6873 I went long time with out one just used a long pole and bloke and takel but knocked my thumb out off socket about 5 times. So I bought one there cheap. I'm going to change my ram to air and hydraulic rather than just hydraulic little bit more control. Just thought I'd mention it. But everyone has there ways I never tell anyone not to do that or what ever your machine your work shop your rols .
The little Deere tractor still earning its keep. Your old Square Body sounds great too. 👍 .
The gun I use is ideal, but you can look for Devillbiss starting line guns are excellent and cost less than the 3m
“It’ll stay single, just like my ex wife” 😂😂😂 that had me crying laughing 🤣
Same here, nearly spit out my coffee! She must have liked orange tractors or something like that!
😆😆.
Paint looks great! The new shop is a very nice and roomy addition…👍
Thank you!

That's a good looking John Deere you have.
I don’t know about all that 😆
Whether things go as planned, or you are on plan C, I always learn or confirm something watching your videos. Thank you for all the tips and tricks.
You are so welcome!
How exciting first spray in your new shop . Great job J T .
Right! I already like the new space much better!
Awesome job getting that wheel center back on. 👍🏻👍🏻because one is just never enough 🤛🏻🤛🏻
You got that right!
Hearing protection when you use loud tools. Tinnitus is merciless!
Great point!
You are a surgeon with that Deere loader and installing the wheel weight.
Very precise lol

You need a sand blaster!
Yes I do
My brother painted tractors, RIP, he sand blasted everything. Not in the shop however as you can never clean up all the sand, mess.
Great video I'm really enjoying your content god bless from Cambridge England 🇬🇧
Awesome! Thank you!
