- Last week I tried Snap Kitchen and I'm sharing my honest review and thoughts about the service in this video. Snap Kitchen is a healthy meal delivery service for busy people with ready to eat meals that you only need to microwave for a few minutes - similar to Freshly. They have options for lifestyles like keto, paleo, whole 30. vegetarian, and more and two plans (12 meals for $9.58 a meal or 6 meals for $11.67 per meal).
Disclaimer: This video is not sponsored, but the meals were sent to me by Snap Kitchen for review purposes.

Do you prep your meals for the whole week or cook every day? I'm curious if I'm the only one that never really got into meal prepping...
The meals look good. I like that you can microwave them. The chicken burrito bowl looks yummy.
yes! Being able to microwave them makes it almost zero effort which is great for busy people :)
Oh wow! I’m impressed by the variety of meals and creative recipes. I think that’s a great way to make it feel like you aren’t eating the same thing everyday! It’s nice that it’s fresh and not frozen but sometimes frozen can be better so it lasts longer if you don’t want to have the packaged meal everyday.
Yes! Frozen has its cons, but I'm definitely guilty of waiting too long and ending up with spoiled food (especially when it comes to produce) 😄 I really liked the variety too!
Looks like they do a good job with packing it for safe shipment
yes!
OMG all of these looked so good in the box I got so hungry so fast lool. The Baked Ziti looked amazing, sounds like most of these meals need more flavouring in their sauces! I'm not a fan of ground turkey either, I can only eat it as a sliced cold cut in sandwiches lool. You're so right, re-heating stuff is just not the same as fresh, it doesn't hit the same lol. Plus for me personally I'd rather just fry stuff to "re-heat" 'cause I don't even own a microwave, just a mini-oven loool. Really appreciate your complete honesty about the cons of the service and meals, as always! Love yaaa!
love youuu! 💞 when I lived with my parents we didn't have a microwave and that's how we used to heat out leftovers too! I recently started reheating stuff in the air fryer for a couple of minutes and it works really well for solid foods, especially pizza 😍 the microwave makes some foods really soggy haha 🙄
These didn’t look half bad!! Surprised by the options and that the pasta held up. It sucks when things like that don’t hold up and you’re already at work. You’re my go to for reviews 👏🏻👏🏻
aw thanks Stephany! I love trying & reviewing new things/products 💞
These meals look much more filling then some of the other frozen meals that you have tried! I will say that when you said they aren't froze, that that would be a big bummer for me because that may cause a lot of waste in the end. Thanks for sharing - I've never heard of this meal delivery service!
yes, they really were filling! even the ones that were about 300 calories which surprised me. I know! I didn't pay attention to the dates and a few of the meals expired so I couldn't even try them 🙃
@@avooneverything What a bummer ! I hate when that happens. I did notice one of the meals was 500 calories which isn’t to bad.
haha I know it sucks!! yess 400-500 cal is a decent meal in my book 😋
It's unfair to dock points for these being microwavable meals since the website tells you that's what you're getting. If you didn't want microwavable meals, it's not the company's fault you ordered that anyway.
As I said in the beginning these were sent to me for review and I was just sharing my personal opinion. I was aware that they're microwave meals but heating things up in the microwave often impacts the flavor and texture and just wanted to emphasize it for people who are wondering.
@@avooneverything the website gives alternative preferred directions for the oven etc. that might help
that's good to know! thank you :)
I don’t think I’ve heard of this service before
yess it was new to me too. There are so many now!
Pretty messy boxes of food, that would turn me off.
I wish you would have made these in the oven like most people do so we could get an honest assessment.
I followed the directions on the packaging and when I spoke with the company I was under the impression that they're meant to be made in the microwave. It was a while after the video was posted when I learned that they can be reheated in the oven too
@@avooneverything Fair enough. When I looked at their instructions on the their site, it listed an oven (preferable) method in there before the microwave even. I shouldn't have assumed that was what you had received or that it wasn't different back then. Do you still use them, or any meal delivery services?
Hmm maybe they changed the meals slightly or just the instructions, idk. I don't use a meal delivery service right now but from all that I've tried I liked Hungryroot the most (I have a video review of them too). Hello Fresh is also pretty tasty, but honestly it was way too much cooking for me. Maybe I'm a slower cook but even the 30-minute meals always took me 45 mins to an hour.
@@avooneverything gotcha.. thank you for taking the time to respond to a comment from a random viewer on some older video. UA-camrs rarely do that. :) Cheers!
of course! thanks for watching & commenting :)
