I took this video on my much needed trip to NC to visit family. I logged out of my social media accounts and shut off. I have been internally battling for quite some time now with who I want to be as an artist vs who I currently am. Mentally putting myself inside of a box, “if I do this type of music I’ll grow faster, if I share my heart they’ll turn away.” Obviously this comes from how I started my career- everyone seemed to favor me rapping. Although I would never take it back, I am over putting pressure on myself. I’m tired of being scared. I have written so many songs and I never drop them out of fear no one will listen.
