MESSAGE FROM 2021: During my time in Myanmar, I saw plenty of amazing sights, but there was one constant: the people. Always smiling, always kind and always welcoming. I’ve never known hospitality like it in all of my travels… But these kind people are currently being denied basic rights by an evil military junta who refuse to recognise democracy. Protesters are being detained and everyone is under a full internet blackout. I stand with the people of Myanmar against this oppression 🇲🇲
Next time, you should try hiking to the Golden Rock starting from Kin Pun. Really fun and adventurous experiences throughout the mountain path, and enjoys the beautiful mountains and valley scenes along the way. And when you get to the top, super tired and sleep at the hotel, then go out at evening and relax all the night.... sincerely from Myanmar...
Guys, I have watched your videos shot in Myanmar. I really love your works. And thank you so much from my heart. I am a tourist guide from Myanmar. We are now suffering from declining of tourism. You are so promising with the way you promote my country.
We had the RIDE OF OUR LIVES getting to the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda - these are the sorts of journeys I love most as a traveller... Testing, but so rewarding! If you missed the first episode from Myanmar you can see that right here. It gives you a bit more background on why we chose to visit 🎥 : ua-cam.com/video/8vfYRYFWYpQ/v-deo.html The next episode is here. Exploring the incredible floating villages of Myanmar's most famous lake: ua-cam.com/video/0I_uNVmBa6Q/v-deo.html 🇲🇲
This is one of the reasons my wife and I are returning to Burma to see this, we have an over night stay in Bago then like you a hotel on top to see both sun set and sun rise, thanks for the video much appreciated
Your Channel has some of the best content I have seen!!! So professional, beautifully engaging scenery and intriguing sounds and music!! Thank you for sharing!!
The 'Ride' was rough?? We hiked on foot from KimPun to the summit. There was no road. The only lodgings were bamboo huts. Truly, was a megical moment. Thanks for the superb video.
I'd say it was worth it for the adventure alone! Although I'm asking myself if I would have had fun because I don't like to be crammed in places with strangers. But, I think I'd still do this, even for the story of it all. Plus, the Golden Rock itself is pretty darn cool. Another great video!
Hello from Myanmar! I am a big fan of your video series on my country again thank you so much for sharing your experiences with the online community. I will say that it is kind of a bummer that you only got to scratch the surface of exploring Kyaik Htee Yo Pagoda when in fact there are several other places you can visit just around the main cliff. Though they are mostly pilgrimages just like the Golden Rock I think you would enjoy the hiking needed to explore the full mountain range.
The first time i went there was when i was like 12. We rode the truck at 5am in winter. The cold air was blowing along the bumpy ride and it was freezing plus the roads had literally no street lights. I was scared but excited at the same time. It was one of a kind experience for me. I guess the roads got better here in the video.
Thank you for your amazing presentation of our country. One day after we've built the better future of Burma, hope you guys come and have a good time again.
Wow, all those lights after sunset looked stunning. You're fortunate to visit during the festival - which I'm sure is a whole other level to normal days. Those truck rides seem ok compared to the Vietnamese night buses I've taken up to Ha Giang, which was full on terrifying. Hmmm, I think I'm inclined to agree with you... but also because Myanmar has so so many magical pagodas and sights all around the country that the bar is certainly higher.
Wow, that journey up looked intense...sometimes those crowded back of the truck moments can create some cool memories later on... Reminds me of a bus ride in Central Vietnam back in the day. That rock looks amazing in all those different shades of the day. Looks like a special place. People, culture make things like this special for sure. Keep rocking it!
When we were young , there was no bus service to mountain top . you have to hike about 7 miles. Pilgrimage to the Kyaikthiyo is a right of passage for the youths . I stay have a mix feeling about the bus service to the mountain top . If you want you can stay hike to the mountain top which i believe will be a fun experience .
wow, had to finally sub to your channel. From the rollercoaster ride to the hanging rock, you had me thinking of ways to make Myanmar a part of my future travel. Love how you edited the video too.
I am from Myanmar and currently living in Japan. At first, I really thanks to you for visiting our Country. If you have a chance to visit again, I would like to suggest you to visit to Mt.Victoria@NatMaTaung National Park, located in Chin State. You can feel the Nature and the Beauty of Sea Cloud there. Again, I am really thanks to you for visiting our Country.
Like your way of sharing where you are at presently and then flashback to tell the full story. At least it was open air--imagine the smells were "interesting" on the roller coaster ride to the summit! Hahaha, Emma sounds like April when excited about--what was she drinking? 😂 Very cool to experience all of the lights; to be so surrounded by the people and their culture. I am curious how/when they built the pagoda on the actual rock--do you know? And a big THANK YOU for the shout-out...we feel so honored, like we've hit the big leagues now, hahaha! 😃😎😊
One shot adventures is definitely the best when it comes to promoting myanmar tourist destinations. Thank you for your detailed and beautiful travel vlog. Much love from yangon

Stumbled across your channel - really good and beautifully shot content. Reminiscing about my trip to Myanmar a couple of years ago. Good times! Oh and by the way - you remind a lot of Simon Reeves from the BBC! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for visiting our country. If you want to go there one more time please visit states like Kachin, Karen and Chin. Much better than the whole city and many things to learn there. But Rakhine is dangerouse.

That festival was such an amazing way to connect with the culture. But I agree with you, it probably wasn’t worth the ride just to see the monument. That ride seemed like quite the journey. How long did you have to wait for a bus?
That's one thicc rock! :P Your videos are really entertaining as well as being super informative! you are an awesome storyteller mate and i think you have found the key to success. and the bus ride looked more awesome then scary haha maybe because we don't hv much people here :P What if you stick the gold leaf on the rock abit too hard? xD
