Every day. I literally browse hundreds of reaction channels like yours and just like everything they spit for this band, all the love... These guys are growing BY DEMAND and nothing else.
It's incredible the popularity they are getting, before the singles releases i saw their spotify with around 300k monthly listeners (may have been lower, thats what i remember), but now they have almost a million listeners, tripling your listeners in 2 weeks with basically 2 songs is mind blowing.
Yeah they were steadily 283k and this should help them hit 1mil, so proud!

When I first listened to this song, it wasn’t anything super crazy (especially after The Summoning and Chokehold)
I kid you not, this song is my most listened to single so far. It’s like High water 2.0 and its SO catchy.
Dude those synth melodies soaring in the background took a few listens to really notice, but holy shit the melody is amazing. It’s uplifting and sad at the same time, sounds amazing
It grew on me too. Alot
One mistake I made was reading the lyrics along with it. Takes your attention away from the subtle aspects that really make this song complete. Once I listened to it on its own, I was hooked!

Can we take a minute and acknowledge that apart from his insane vocal skills, Vessel is also a damn good lyricist.
As much as I like their recently discovered songs, I disagree. These lyrics are often just very random, very short and partly kinda weird (e.g. the summoning).

I thought The Summoning was gonna be the best of the album, of the year. And it will still be probably.
But this song has instantly become my personal favorite. It's crazy to think that's THERES STILL MORE.
This is like Dark Signs 2.0 and High Water 2.0. And High Water is my FAVORITE SONG.

Saw this, Aqua Regia, Chokehold and The Summoning live on Wednesday night and they're all absolutely phenomenal live. Sleep Token were already my favourite band, seen them live before but Wednesday was something special, these boys are something different and I'm so glad people finally are realising this. Vessel sounded EXACTLY the same as on the recording, he is just fantastic and their showmanship really came through. Worship ❤️
I'd say the biggest difference between the handful of the new songs and their past material is that they're tighter and more focused composition wise. There's much less meandering and no part overstays it's welcome. This also feels much more like a every song is part of a greater theme almost like a concept record.
Totally agree, this seems like a major step forward with Sleep Token. I too am thrilled watching this band on their come-up. They deserve to be huge on their talent alone. The Offering is still top for me, but barely over The Summoning. Both are amazing tracks!

Granite is actually my favourite of the 3, but it was boosted by seeing them play it live first. Phenomenal! Every show in the U.K. has been selling out. I believe there are only limited tickets left for London, but that may change now! I’d love it to sell out as well though ❤
I don't think it's going to get stale once the album drops because each of these songs have really high replay value. The songs are so unique to each other and I feel the album is going to be a beautiful journey.

I totally feel what you mean here 6:12 I honestly love every sleep token song but I don't have that much enjoyment listening to their two records from start to finish. I have a playlist with all of their songs and I shuffle it. I feel listening to their full body of work randomly is a lot more enjoyable that way. Btw love you channel, I'm so jealous you get to discover and react to albums and bands that I was blown away by before I started reacting to music. Keep doing what your doing.

Ill always favor the offering because it was the first 2 songs i was introduced to while i was sitting on a tattoo table (other being alantic) but the rollercoaster of the summoning will defaintly age like fine wine for me. will be in my spotify 2023 wrapped for sure 🥵

The Offering is still my favorite song. It just hits. Alkaline was the first song that I heard from them, but The Offering was my most played song for 2022 by a fair margin. I would just put it on before work and it would get me hype.

Among my top Sleep Token tracks are Dark Signs and Descending and they are both heavily electronic, as is Granite. I love all their tracks but the electronic ones always scratch some unknown itch. This is my favourite of the new singles and it was absolutely amazing to be present when they live debuted it in Birmingham. They also played Aqua Regia so possibly out tonight??

I feel like half of listening to Sleep Token Is waiting for a 30 second segment where all the build up FINALLY comes together and you can groove. The floaty , disjointed , sometimes hard to digest nature really lends Itself to that "ahh finally" moment.

Sleep token and loathe are bound to have a breakout year. Loathe will be releasing an album later this year.

I am convinced that these guys are from some other bands or something. I also strongly feel that vessel is a British pop star and the effect on his voice is to disguise it. His stuff is just too catchy lol. The amount of talent in this band is simply astonishing.

I agree with you that their music has elevated somehow from their early stuff. This one Granit is actually my favourite of the new ones. One reason. I played it in the car for my girlfriend who doesn't like metal. She said that as soon as we get home it's on 🤣🤣 sleep Token is the only metal band she likes.

This one might be my favorite of the 3. It’s really hard because Vessel and the band have grown so much from the One EP. Sometimes I can’t believe it’s the same band. It’s inspiring. Sleep Token and Vola need to tour or do a split EP together soon
Yes, TPWBYT has some great tracks, but I also never went back to it as an album. The first time I felt there were fillers, I have never experienced that with Sleep Token before. So I feel this time were going back to Sundowning times!
Saw them in manchester tonight. Was amazing, the venue was an old church so the ambience was unreal. The offering was the highlight for me unreal ending to an amazing set. I wouldnt have known about these guys if it wasnt for you Drew so thanks for your videos!
PLEASE react to Periphery 1!!! That album is a 11/10 and was such a heavy influence for all the music that came after it.

I am ashamed to admit that I only discovered this band two weeks ago with the release of the Summoning aka song of the year 2023
GUINNESS FOREVER!
They've had a slow burn over time. Like a movie in the beginning that grabs your attention but starts out slow, but builds and builds until it gets to the next level / progression of the story. This is only act 2 out of a 4 act play or story. There's more to build upon but act 2 is 🔥 already and we're not even at the end of it yet.

As a fan of the heavy, of the new singles released thus far, my fave would have to be The Summoning- by far.
I do like the melodic nature of this track, however. Great vocals. Catchy. I feel the same way about their newest Aqua Regia.
Stoked to hear what the rest of the album sounds like, but if I am being honest, I was hoping that The Summoning wasn't going to be their heaviest track, just to draw in those of us who want the heavy.

I prefer The Summoning over The Offering because it's more variable.
From the Singles so far it's hard to tell which I like most. They are all to different and it depends on my mood. But in general it is:
1) Summoning
2) Granite
3) Chokehold.
Granite has overtaken The Summoning for my fave new single. It didn't immediately strike me as my fave, but the lyrics hit deep the whole time like.... my fave tracks will ALWAYS be the song I relate to most which is where Higher and Atlantic are my faves off of their previous albums.
Plus that drum fill in the breakdown?? II, my beloved....
Between The Offering and The Summoning, the latter is my favourite and I think its bc The Summoning was my first Sleep Token song 😂
ALSO according to Genius lyrics, they're releasing the singles in order so they're almost forcing us to listen to it the way it was intended haha

Yeah I love the repetitiveness of the lyrics and vocal melodies in this song, the new song Aqua Regia is kinda like that too. The sentences flow perfectly and even though the lyrical content itself isn't that 'deep', it makes for awesome songs that instantly stay in my head for a while.
They borrow bits from the modern pop formula and have found their own formula that mixes both so incredibly well, regardless of gerne. I mean, the 4 new singles feature industrial noise (chokehold), hiphop beat (chokehold), bluesfunk section (summoning), rnbish hiphop structure like granite and aqua regia..,
And then they somehow mix all that with their modern prog/djent inspired sound, perfectly. The new singles are really strong and cohesive imo, looking forward to the album.
Will they release all songs as singles before the album? I keep hearing that, but if I actually had any discipline I'd be kinda inclined to not listen to any more songs, so as to still get a real fresh album experience on release
@@wavewithus4081 This is the prevailing theory, but good news is that they're releasing the singles in the order the album is meant to be heard. Also, Sleep Token appears to be very deliberate in how they present their albums, so if they're releasing it this way, this is how they want it experienced first.
As for the release schedule, a theory I've seen specifically ties the release of singles with the full and new moon cycles (since the alleged album art looks like the moon) but that is essentially just every 2 weeks. if the pattern holds like this, we should have the whole album around the Spring Equinox. There's also a rumor that the rest of the album will actually drop at 12am UK time tonight bc they have a European headlining tour starting, but that's just rumor.
so far the pattern is "two songs every two weeks", and the next two songs are allegedly called Vore and Acensionism (full tracklist is on Genius, but there's nothing stating anything about it being official. so far it has been correct tho).
something that I think gives a BIT of credence to the "the album is dropping tonight" rumor/theory is that when Chokehold and The Summoning dropped, they were dropped as wholly separate singles on Spotify, and the lyrics in Genius were p much immediately synced with Spotify. Granite and Aqua Regia were released as singles on Spotify, but when you select them, they've piled all the new singles together AND last I checked, the lyrics weren't synced between Genius and Spotify. To me, this might mean that they're waiting for the rest of the album to drop to mark the lyrics as official and sync it to Genius. This is LIKELY OVERTHINKING so do not quote me on this. ;p
I agree with your statement that sleep token have been a band with potential. I’ve enjoyed some but not lost of their stuff. Their most recent releases have been very interesting and I think they’re figuring out their sound even more!
This track in particular I think is a 6.5/10 to me. I love the ideas and direction of mixing and RnB/poppy/electronic sound and slowly building into the metal elements. Really cool experimentation. But, for me at least, it never really goes anywhere. It has good ideas but doesn’t build into anything substantial. I’m not versed in the lore, so I’m sure this would add to the music. I’m really curious to see this fits into the context of the entire album.
Of the three, errr, four songs so far, Granite is by far my favorite,
