Hello! Sorry you're facing performance issues; Could you please share your system specs and any settings you've tried? We're actively working on updates to improve performance, and your feedback is incredibly valuable to us!
Hello. I can share my specs with you: Alienware M15 R5, 16GB RAM, AMD Ryzen 7 5800H and RTX 3060m (125W) with 6GB RAM. Auto settings for the game were everything on high. By starting the tutorial there were a lot of lags, stuttering and so on, I guess it's because of UE5 and the shaders. It becomes better and better over time. I tried out a lot of things, everything medium...looks ugly and still stuttering. Everything on low, looks nearly the same like your mobile game but I get my 60 fps and no stuttering. But this can't be the solution. If I remember correctly, the game Ready or Not is also using UE5 and I had the same problems with that game, but they fixed it (not 100% but....yeah) and it looks fantastic. Maybe you can't compare these two games, idk.
@@slavic99 you are asking a lot from a laptop even if it is an Alienware. I would say what's hurting your experience the most is the 3060m and 6GB of VRAM - that would cause a lot of texture loading and unloading (stuttering). TD2 looks the way it does because of the latest Unreal tech, this all comes at a cost. I can recommend playing modded maps that have much lower requirements for performance. Our studio is full of 3060s and performance is acceptable.
@@williamsauers1120 guess you talk about the system like in the Forza games where people can share their setups for drift, drag, grip etc. ?! Have to say that is a really good idea.
ngl i really like this idea! our tuning system is pretty in depth for those who know what theyre doing. but, some more basic presets/templates for newer car enthusiasts is a super cool idea and can get a lot more people learning about tuning
@@TorqueDrift2 Hey do ya thang! I love it so far. Just issues with rendering in shop pr anytime my car loads in. I'm running a 4090 founders, so I don't think thats on my end but then again idk anything about tec I just go what I heard is some of the best
Eh...yeah...I know. I have never written that you have to buy something! But to be honest: a cool drift car is not the stock car (you call it pro car) with new rims and another exhaust and for the rest of the parts you want to change there is a lock and the advice "coming soon". The Pro cars in formula Drift look a little bit cooler than that and I don't have to explain to you what the players wanted or expect if they buy a drift game
i get that. we're about to drop a livery editor - so you can put all types of designs and decals on your car - that way people can make drift cars that look like the pro ones, ready for events like FD. hopefully that allows for more satisfaction from people following the no paid currency path and also means they can make sick designs without having to buy the pro bundles :)
@@TorqueDrift2 ..this is the way! And that is exactly what will happen if you do it in a good way. I know it from some other games, there are a lot of people out there, that love to do some really nice liveries for everyone. They buy these games, no interest in driving/ racing/drifting but they are artist and love to share their work. Thank you
HEY DEAR DEVALOPERS, AS A CINEMATİC CAR RENDERER AND VIDEOGRAPHER YOU ARE REALLY MISSING THE BIG FEAUTRE FOR PUTTING THE REPLAY SECTION (FPV DROPNE REPLAY, GENERAL REPLAY WITH DIFFERNET PERSPECTIVE SHOTS) IF YOU REALLY CONSIDER THIS I WILL MAKE REALLY BANGERS AND A LOT OF PEOPLE TOO!
Well done guys, well done!! Look like im buying another driftgame. And for me, i hope the driving is not to much a sim ;-) Just want to blast around those corners drifting at massive speeds, with a controller in my hands and a smile on my face.
when playing on controller it is a good mix of realistic and arcadey feel! plus you can tune your car to play and drift any way you want to. hopefully you have a good time on track :)
Hey torque random question , but would it be normal or weird if I made a gofundme so people can help donate money for a $5k car ? I Need a successful car guy opinion … living in middle of nowhere /having no car keeps a lot of doors(opportunities ) locked .
Sorry to write this, but this is exactly what I wrote today on Steam. What you show is what you expect from a drift game: hot cars, cool drifts, nice tracks and smooth music. Problem: you don't get what you pay for (or what you show). The hot cars, real drift cars, you only get if you pay again more real money and for that graphics that you can see in the trailer you need a high end PC. I bought the game, I like it but there is still a lot missing to be a real drift game. But, I am full of hope that you guys can make it, the one and only drift game 😊
how do you need real money for those purchases? with the in-game currency earning system, you can unlock anything you want (except pro cars - they are real drivers cars and have to be real $$, so the drivers earn royalties) without even paying. you can play the game without dropping another dollar, and earn exactly the same things as everyone else.
Sorry, but you really want to tell me that I can get all the cars you show in the trailer with your ToFu money? No Sir, there is a price behind these bundles and it isn't ToFu...it's $
i just said... the pro cars are real $$. those are the only cars that are paid. every single other car, every single car outside of the Formula DRIFT official cars, can be earned with tofu. every nissan, toyota, lambo, subaru etc. can be earned with tofu. the Mad Mike bundle is paid, but that's because mad mike needs to earn royalties for allowing us to use his car in game. thats just business.
@cristian and TorqueMotorsport: I am old enough to understand the business itself but my point of view is from a customer and player. I bought a drift game to have some fun and drift around at Ebisu for some laps and so on. Graphics are great (if u have good hardware), car models are very detailed and they sounds amazing. Until this point everything is fine for now. But I don't want to change the rims and wheels only on most of the cars, or maybe the seat and steering wheel...and for the rest of the parts is just a "coming soon". It's like Call of duty but you only have 2 guns, 3 rifles and 2 maps for multiplayer. But if you can't wait, you can have the cool stuff, for extra money. Maybe it would be a good idea to make a note inside the game / shop that your company support the real drivers like Mike and his son, with that extra money. For me it was: okay 17,99€ for an early access drift game...yes, let's go. Later: where is the cool stuff from the vids and so on?...are in the shop...and I only have to pay another 18$ to get it...bullsh*t. That doesn't work. Idk...you get into the early access phase with your game to promote it, to test it and for sure, to get some feedback. If you don't like the feedback, I don't care anymore. I bought the game, I played it...after some trouble to find the right graphic settings to get it smooth, I had some fun, reached level 14 or 15 of 18, but then it started to get boring. I was missing something like a campaign or some challenges where you have to drift in tandem with an AI opponent or something else. Something with a progression that gives you a reason to get back on the track. Peace, I am out ✌🏻
Game looks absolutely nothing like this. running it in 4k on Ulta at around 90 FPS with Framegen off. The paint on the cars have weird reflection artifacting so it looks grainy and not as clean as in this video whatsoever. Regardless the driving is hella fun and responsive. Good game but visually it's a bit of a stretch from this.
i feel you - a lot of the artifacting comes from UE5 and since its a new engine a lot of the lighting and reflections are being worked on. the footage in this vid is 100% in game, so i promise that this is what the game looks like. we're just trying our best to refine visuals and performance so it can look this beautiful for everyone :) glad you enjoy the gameplay though!!
have you seen any of our comment replies to people mentioning nfts? or our explanations on socials? we have dropped nfts. entirely free to earn experience (save for the PRO cars).
