  • In preparation for our upcoming trip to Baja, Mexico with our truck camper, we are installing two water filtration devices to make the water drinkable and safe! The first install is the Clearsource Ultra RV Water Filter System that uses 3 consecutive filters to thoroughly clean any water that enters our RV!
Watch the video to see how I remove the supplied heavy metal filter bracket and replace it with a very light one designed to hang off the back of my RV!

Nice...LOVE the setup.....Thinking of doing the same but I'll buy the canister's separate and then join the filters together using PVC fittings..Thinking of using two first, if needed, I'll add a third..Thanks for the idea...

That's is a great idea. Not just for the trip to Baja but any trip to any camp grounds in the U.S. or the World. Thanks for your help.

Great idea for a mounting system! I have to see if that would work on my toy hauler. I made a 3-filter system out of generic canisters that would work with all 2 1/2" x 10" filters, so you could use the ClearSource filters in it if you want, and it was a lot cheaper than buying their whole system. I made mine for ~$200 with pressure gages at each stage. Would have been ~$100 if I didn't put in gages. I made a frame out of extruded aluminum, which is kind of bulky and still fairly heavy. Hopefully, I can find a way to mount it under my rig and make the modifications! 👍

Beautiful install! As a "Class III-Residential Water Treatment Professional" in the state of Texas for the last 30 years (At least 20 that I can prove on paper) I'm anxious to see the next video. Reverse osmosis units and water softeners have been my area of expertise for almost 3 decades. What's next to remove the TDS and create drinking water? If that's what you're planning? Or are you going for soft water (exchange)? I run R.O. water though my palomino "Backpack". Drinking water quality but if that's not available because of my time constraint I just fill up soft water at home and go. Just the holding tank. No on board system.

Great idea. How much weight did you save by removing the frame? Also, what are you using to drive the eye hooks? Modified deep well socket?
