Can you tell how u set it up cause I got one and I put spinning reel on it and this thing won’t shoot for nothing and what kind and lbs on the line your using

that reel is just like the one i use. its a zebco 33, and works great!! Excellent video.
I found that a coating of super glue around the center serving and then a coating of bowstring wax will make the string last longer. I also try to take the sharp edges off the darts with some sandpaper or a little file to help the string last longer.
O that’s a great idea! The string has broke on me many times and it gets irritating thanks 🙏
Yeah I was thinking that just hours ago when I was looking at darts on ebay, the carved out nock edges looked really burry and rough/sharp, gonna take the dremel to em for a few seconds, but $1 darts, ya just gotta buy em
Maybe even make a point out of that round part...

I use 30 Pound braided leader. I have not lost one yet!!
I also take an extra set of rubber tubes and loop them thru another set and put a bb in the end like a regular ammo pouch is mounted to get a longer draw length, works gerat.

I’ve searched slingshot fishing 100 times and found very little over the last year. I don’t know how I missed this. I want to get a slingshot for mullet here in Florida. Carp stay on the bottom so for that thing to get them it must be more powerful than it looks.

Did you use the laser when you were shooting that? Or is it only for cloudy/night? I got a slingshot extending "rifle" fishing slingshot off wish but haven't had a chance to fish with it yet, this looks super fun.
Gotta put a trigger guard on the thing though, I've already punctured myself once... 😂 Didn't hurt at all really, I was just shaking my head at myself because just before I brushed the trigger , I was thinking "this is stupid" derp
Lol no I don’t use the laser I wouldn’t hit anything. I just grew up using slingshots so I’m just really good at aiming. Just practice a bit with marbles or rocks to get the rhythm down
Yeah I got a slingshot from temu for like $2 including laser, which is mounted on the right side... Seems like a fools errand to try and calibrate it / make it effective at all, especially mounted on the right instead of the center, distance will make it progressively more wrong...
🤔 Unless I put the filter lens on it from my laser level that turns it into a line...
Would spider line work with it to keep from breaking?

Is it me, or is that reel spooled in reverse?
Yes it’s on the Right side I reversed the handle so I didn’t have change hands to reel in. It’s more comfortable for me. Awkward reeling in backwards though 😂

have you tried it on longnose gar? the five to ten pounders? i bowfish them from my kayak in the spring, this would be a lot less cumbersome if it would penetrate the armor.
Diogenes Ataraxia I think it would definitely penetrate it shoots really fast it cuts through the carp like butte, but at a long distance it may have a hard time Ive never seen a Gar in person but it would be really cool to see if it does 🤘🏼
I'm sure it wouldn't be to difficult to make some arrows with a sharpened broadhead type tip that would cut through em. Aluminum is super light so you have faster arrows but I'd use some quarter inch round stock mild steel cause then you have a little weight to it to help push through that tough skin. Maybe even slightly bigger then quarter. Wouldn't be hard to custom make some deadly arrows
