  • Foodieland Houston 2024 🍼✨ Going to try my best to not sound like a hater in this review but I need to maintain my integrity by keeping it real with y’all too 😭
    👉🏼 PROS:
    - Lots of diversity in food. Makes it easy for people to try lots of new things all at once.
    - NRG has multiple gates open making it easy to find nearby parking to the event. ($22+ for parking)
    👉🏼 CONS:
    - PRICEY. You could get some of the Asian options elsewhere in Houston for much cheaper and with AC. (Bellaire, Katy, Etc.)
    - Lack of drink options. (NO BOBA AT A FOOD MARKET?! 😭) It was either aquafina (low tier water), the damn giant baby bottle, or alcoholic drinks!
    - Long lines/packed, more popular vendors would take 15-20+ minutes to order
    - Hot weather, made things like ice cream/ice cold drinks melt much quicker
    - If you don’t have your own hand sanitizer, you’ll have to eat a lot of things with dirty/sticky hands
    - Only restrooms available were porta-potties which is pretty unsanitary for a food festival though kinda expected
Would I go again? Probably not… 👩🏻‍🦯 Houston is so diverse for food nowadays that these food trucks kinda take away from the charm/full experience you’d get if you went to these restaurants by themselves. Along w/ the prices, it’s hard to justify doing this again in the hot sun 😵‍💫

I don;t think you are hater. The event was awful, even worst in LA. There was no shade (people was siting outside bathroom stall for shade SMH) no sign for where to park, no rules posted anywhere (we weren;t allow backpack but women can bring big ass bag, no sunscreen (in 100 degree event WTF) , no water bottle (free water inside but WTF again in 100 degree heat), and a bunch of other BS) line long as hell (again in 100 degree with no tent or shade of any kind). The vender was nice and try to be super fast.

@@bobbysmith8095 The only restrooms available at the Houston event were porta potties and I definitely did not want to go in those!! It’s safe to say that I might not likely go back again, prices are better at brick and mortar stores

@@CreepPuff Yeah it is even worst in LA. WE have boba at least here but it was $10 for a drink. I spend $100 and honestly didn;t get a meal. I got x2 boba (it was around 100 degree) , 2 chicken skwer, 2 piece of sushi, mini cake, 2 piece of marcoon and japanese omelette with bear bottle drink. (guess this my meal lol size of my hand omelette ) Don;t think I am going again cuz for $100 I can quite a nice meal in LA.
