- Five years ago in 2015 when Government of India extended peaceful solution to Naga People with a Framework Agreement, they took it with hope and open arms. Nagas consider the Agreement historic and looked forward to with a positive note.
But five years on and the talk continues to go back and forth with no absolute result. As per reports, the last leg of the talk is going on currently. However, we have seen a lot of mistrust from the part of Indian government. The solution is being anticipated by the Nagas with hope and skepticism. Hope for the best solution for their struggle.
Nagas declared their independence on 14 August 1947, a day before India. Since then, they have unfurled their National flag every year. In 2015, August 14, soon after the Framework Agreement was signed, NSCN celebrated Naga Independence Day at its headquarter Hebron, Dimapur in the presence of over 5000 people including both national and International media. NSCN General Secretary Th. Muivah's speech was watched closely for details of the Framework Agreement.

And after creating an artificial state called Nagaland, they are saying nagas were independent. This is flat lies that Kohima stone and the building of highway passing through the heart of Nagaland in 1830 is the undeniable historical fact that it was always part of Manipur. Still the mainstay of Nagaland's economy is looting on the highway of Manipur, which they called tax by the Nagaland police. Now the tax is also levied by so called Naga insergents which is nothing but a mafia. India must stop playing with fire to strangulate Manipur, an Asian entity which has never signed a treaty of surrender with the colonial power. So all the land belonging to Manipur must return to Manipur. Manipur is not friendless in the commity of nations.

Let me give you some information about my homeland and its people. Orthers called these people (insurgent, extortionists, arm gangs, underground, etc. etc.), but we true Nagas called them our Nationalists, our protector, our key to real life and freedom. Past days many of our people are being killed, women are being raped, some young men and women were being taken as captive, villages were burnt down, crops were destroyed, many violence has been done to our land. Our leaders do not resist to give up, even today, though some of our foreparents are no more with us today, their siprit lives within us, encouraging us not to give up. The land, the cultures, the traditions God has prepared and given to us, we cannot surrender to other's nation. Yet many Nagas are being poisoned with ignorance and money (they have forgotten their own rights and belongings), willing to surrender to others, but here we few still stand strong, and I believe all Nagas will later come to realization why we refuse to to give up or surrender.
As you have pointed out about extortion, you have not lie but missunderstood. There are some extremists who even know nothing about his own identity but joined the Nationalist and supposing that exortation is the only means of livelihood and joining the group, these people are wrong, but we cannot blame the whole for the sake of few. And there is also right for us to pay taxes to them and also contribute to them.
There are also make war and fight, but have you ever see an army wagging a war,? if yes, does that makes them a murderer or kundas? No, for the duties of an army is protecting and safeguarding Nation and making a self defence.

Anyone Please send the link of history of Nagaland. I searched in Google but I couldn't find any history of Naga people. Also anyone who can explain how the unique history of Naga people are different from other non Naga tribes. I think it is time to introspect.

Naga people & Assmise people are related somehow our Assmise Ahom King my dad used to say story that our Ahom King married with Naga girl long time ago.
Muivah is a Tangkhul from Manipur. The term "naga" (Angami, Lotha, Sema, Ao etc) was referred to those tribes that lived in the Naga hills in Assam province before Nagaland got statehood. Now there's no distinct identifying criteria for a tribe to be considered as "Naga", therefore there were so many confusions. One contributing factor to the confusion was that small tribes residing nearby(especially in northern Manipur) wanted political, social and economical benefits, so they started calling themselves 'Naga' and tried to assimilate them in the 'naga movement', others who opposed were forced, some even killed. Most NSCM-IM members are Tangkhuls (a tribe from Manipur), which nagas in Nagaland consider as "refugees", because they don't want an outsider taking their leadership. Also Muivah himself has so many innocent bloods in his hands, even that of many nagas. But then again, they have a common opponent.
