Process where we junk the Maxxforce 7 that's in the bus and install a Remanufactured Cummins ISB 6.7L. This is a really popular Repower. All of our Maxxforce 7 powered buses are Converted Cummins now. We started Converting our VT365s to Cummins. We only have 4 of them Converted but we still have a quiet few VT365 powered buses.
It’s about a $27,750 or more Job. It's a 5 year Unlimited Mileage Warranty "Whether we do the Install or the Dealer does it". The Cummins Repower Conversion Kit comes with a New Cummins ISB 6.7L, Cummins Exhaust Aftertreatment System, Install Kit, Harnesses, and Accessories to convert the existing Cooling, Powersteering, and Intercooler system. The Allison 2000 series transmission is Re-used and Reprogrammed. Exhaust Brake, Exhaust Regeneration Lamps, Parked Regeneration Switch and Cruise Switches are installed in the panel for VT365 powered applications that your converting to cummins. If it's a Maxxforce 7 powered application, existing Regeneration Switches and Exhaust Regeneration Lamps are Re-used.
Damn that bus is fast and powerful with that 6.7L cummins ISB it just gets up and goes.
