Tetsu Kasuya has a review on this. It has an English translation. One point he mentioned was that it has a flavor profile similar to a flat bottom dripper despite using a cone V60 paper.
While I love the design and I would love to have one, I feel this one is more of a collectable than a useful coffee brewer. I think keeping the temperature is very important while making coffee, specially with light roasted ones, and this one may not be very good at that aspect, but yeah I would be interesting to see Hoffman's review on it
@@diabloget Isn't air a good insulant? It doesn't have much matterial to heat sink so maybe it's not a problem

Ehh, as long as you rinse it off after every brew it's fine, you dont need to take it apart and clean it like that very often, plus it looks like those fins might just fit in the silverware shelf in the dishwasher.

you've heard of the HARIO Air Kettle, now get a load of the HARIO Air Dripper!
It's beautiful, but it doesn't seem to help maintain the water temperature because it's an open form
So it's just a V60 that requires more cleaning and might leak out the sides without fully passing through the coffee...? It's pretty, but not practical in the slightest.

V60樹脂款的也不用預熱啊，樹脂的比熱低質量也小，我覺得這款應該會很受露營愛好者的追捧，花瓣還可以拆卸收納，可以收成小小一袋塞杯子裡面，我真的會想收一個露營的時候用😂

Weiss man bei Hario nicht, dass der Filter nass sein muss BEVOR er mit dem Kaffeepulver befüllt wird???
I guess it's because the coffee roast level is dark, and that would absorb the oils.
Well, Hario actually omits this step in their instructions despite the fact that it was shown by numerous people that rinsing the filter results in better tasting coffee.
But why?
to lose thermal insulation.

@@niccoloaurelius1587it's the opposite, now you don't need to preheat. Air is also a good insulator, so most of the heat can't be lost to the dripper
Also maybe lower bypass ratio
@@alvinphan1617 Oh that's interesting, I thought niccoloaurelius was joking, because assumed that heat retention would be a challenge with a design like this. It'd be interesting to see what difference it makes. Hopefully James Hoffmann will make a video about it
