What state are you in? The US has a broad red corporate tape governing the banking sector and Senor Marcos is from EU in Spain they are less inclined to profits because of high taxes from the bloc, it may be a cultural thing from the European market compared US markets.

Good talk. But how do value-based banks compete on rate? If a Citibank can offer a full point lower on a loan because it also generates significant income from let's say trading, then borrowers are most likely going with Citi.
