In a non-CDL configuration this could also be done, I guess. You would need a truck with a GVWR of no more than 10K (RAM used to sell a 3500 10K chassis) or a strong 2500 with a trailer with about 20 GVWR derated to 16K. Then the trailer would have a theoretical payload of ~11K, but an actual payload of ~16K, which can be done on two axles like these or 3 axles of 7K (a little more stable). There are probably no scales on local roads, and if you stop, you stay within the limits according to the plates: 10K + 16K. I think so.
Surprised that little trailer has such a large capacity and the truck seemed to handle the weight with minimal squat even with all the dozer forward of the axles. Assuming it was a SRW 3500.
That trailer has "super single" oil bath axles rated for 10k each, very nice trailer. Kinda like "V-belt and Son" new "little buddy" Diamond C trailer he picked up. The truck was a 3500HD model with bags, handled it well like you said. Thanks for watching!!!
The machine weighs more around 15K per the manual, the trailer was rated at 16k payload, and the truck is rated to bumper tow 20k max. Pretty much at the limit for the trailer/truck combo. Dozer was moved about 15 miles from my place to its new home. Thanks for watching!
Completely agree, even questioned the setup/owner thinking it was a 14k with Dexters...🥴...but it was a "Trailmax 16TUS 5 +16" trailer, GVWR 21,000 lbs. Thanks for watching!

That’s the most badass load combo I’ve ever seen! I bet the ride home was like winning an Oscar.
That is nuts for a load on the trailer and truck!
It was no problem for the setup. It’s a little dozer. Thanks for watching!
It is! Truck is around 7200lbs, trailer cant be less than 5000lbs then 15000 dozer.
@@montanamanbuilds8153 That truck is rated to tow 20k so really it was just about max.

can't believe that trailer is rated for 16000 lbs. looks way to light

At 1:50 the front trailer tire looks like its rubbing on the fender
Naw, it was fine. Thanks for watching!
That dozer weighs 16700 pounds! How much can that truck tow?! I hope he drives slow!
