To everyone calling this man a pathological liar, there are major inconsistencies in his stories, there's also a major dent in his forehead, massive brain damage is a likely culprit for the inconsistencies/lies.

Glad you put this up. Perfect example of why we need more mental institutions and less prisons. It's cheaper to house these people and give them welfare and social workers than it is to keep them locked up.... It's around 25k vs 30k or more are year. Check it out, a hospital in Philly did a trial program for 25 of their worst "repeat customers" to keep them from clogging up the hospital.

Please do more veteran interviews *Mark*. If you could find veterans from different wars/conflicts and people who experienced being drafted, that could enlighten so many about the effects of war and the humanity of soldiers. Stay safe out there, and thank you for sharing what you’re learning out there with us. I respect the people being interviewed for putting themselves out here.

A lot of gaps in the stories. Murdered his best friend, when asked why, he said "I was a big dealer." Not sure what that even means (I don't think he meant drug dealer, I think he was referring to him being a big kid, cuz then he went into how he was tall for a 10 year old). ??? Nothing against him, it was just a difficult interview to follow and really understand what went on in his life.

Most of these "fancy cities" have the HIGHEST homeless population. I live near San Francisco and The Tenderloin is very similar to skid row (it's a bit smaller though). You come to a certain spot in SF and you can buy ANY drug you want without needing a dealer's number. A police officer can watch you smoke crack and he won't do shit. That's how bad it's gotten.

Ronnie obviously tells a few tall tales, but in large measure he seems harmless. Often times, as Mark can likely attest to, when someone has spent a life on drugs, they embellish the grandiose nature of their former existence. It’s a fairly common phenomena. My guess is that deep down they know their years getting high was wasted time- and they don’t want to think their entire life was futile. So, they gussy up the exploits of their younger years. The goal is to make it seem like, prior to the drugs, they lived this awe inspiring, movie-esq fast life. It’s a defense mechanism. It’s as if they are saying sure, what you see now may not impress you, but if you only knew who you were talking to, you’d realize in fact they’d lived a very formidable existence. Listen, at his age, and if he truly has brain cancer, and did serve our country in war, that old timer can tell me any tale he so desires. He deserves our attention. Because partner, whether you realize it or not- you do matter, your life was worth living, and I’m sure if we could sift through the annals of time, you were an impressive man worthy of adulation.

This man here clearly has more issues than just his addiction. He lives out of a motel he’s been on the streets for years and also incarcerated for a long time who knows what he seen or been through. So yeah again this comment is about as horrible as my penmanship.

Jesus I had to pay SO much for that shit in pill form). Like yes he might have the occasional binge, but the fact that he's not a slave to specifically heroin probably fees like a victory to him. Some of the most genuinely happy people are recovering addicts. This mans soul is the way it is because of his lifestyle and choices and the fact that he’s still drinking and drugging with a bulllet in his spine and at probably what appears to be 65-70 years old (I don’t remember what he said his age was)

I think there’s a genuine story about his life entangled somewhere in there. I think people need to stop harping on him being a “pathological liar” and only that. This man has obviously been through trying times in some way shape or form and substance abuse definitely has a role to play in damaging his cognitive abilities to communicate, remember, etc. and he’s recalling on what he believes to be true. Given, doesn’t make a completely accountable story, but I don’t think it’s fair to only be describing him as a pathological liar.
