Love the intro! I've always been curious about the hierarchy since as "thetans", we are all the same.

You explained the staff member contracts clearly and simple. No, they dont let you end your contract in peace with smiles. It's quite the opposite. And to live on your own, a staff member typically needs a second job, as $10-$40 a week doesnt cover it. Thats around what i made each week.
Im so happy youre doing these videos. Thank you :)

Thank you! I used to think the sea org have it the worst, but I can't imagine the type of stress staff have with so little pay (worse than SO) and still having to provide their own housing and food. Like I may have been under threat of the RPF almost daily, never got time off, was constantly being yelled at, sleep deprivation, etc, but I never had to worry about being homeless or starving. About 3 tears after I left the SO I came very close to being homeless and since then that stress has pretty much dictated all my life choices.

Yes, Scientology is effectively a pyramid scheme. The Bridge chart even looks like an MLM “compensation” plan.

As a recovering Catholic, I can clarify one point. Nuns and priests believe they are dedicating their lives to God. That they end up as worker bees for the church is not the point of their joining. It is the inner relationship with God that is first and foremost, and the work they do is a manifestation of that relationship.
I actually considered being a nun as a teenager, but I am grateful that it didn't happen.

In a way I would say that sea org dedicate themselves to "the tech" and to "mankind" because when you join you do so to save mankind by delivering Scientology. At any rate, thank you for bringing this up. I used to watch a show called Call the midwife and a group of nuns are very much at the center of the show (church of England though, not Catholic) and as you say, they devote themselves to god and Christ. If I remember correctly its almost like a wedding ceremony where they make vows to Christ? Faith is truly a fascinating social construct and aspect of human behaviour.

RTC is below CST ,,, CST owns all the copyrights and patents ,,licensed to RTC. DM is not in control of everything ,, Never was,, never will be.

@@daveluck5717 I would however argue that he acts like he is in control of everything. Also CST being maybe 1-2% of the sea org, if we look at numbers, that still puts him in charge of 98-99%. Also I know that on paper he's just a "chairman" and has no "operational control" or whatever, but this is far from the truth in reality. I am ofc not the expert in this particular subject however. Maybe a question/talk I could take with Dylan.

@@2ndGemStockholmSyndrome Yes ,,, following the hubbard profile as commodore ,, he asserts as 'captain' for the SO Brotherhood ,, which is what it is ,, it has no legal status ,, it is just a construct of 'upper level' status ... CST on the other hand is NOT a scn construct, it is the actual owners of the 'tech' .. using SO to staff its compounds.

Church of Spiritual Technology (CST) incorporated. From the incorporation papers: “Specifically its purpose is to espouse, present, propagate, practice, ensure, and maintain the purity and integrity of the religion of Scientology.”. In practice however it meant that CSI answers to RTC that in turn answers to CST. CST owns the copyright registered as ‘L. Ron Hubbard Library’.

When I was in the church they really pressured me to join staff. They tried to get me to join the sea org only once but I didn't qualify because of my previous drug use before I ever got into scientology so I couldn't join anyway so they never asked again. But man do they pressure you. I work nights at a bar and they called me while I was at work at 11 at night trying to get me to buy new edition of battlefield earth it was the last day to get hubbard on the best seller list. I said I don't have a card I buy everything cash only way I can get it is to go to bookstore tomorrow and get it cause I'm at work oh they would not have that

Scientology never works because humans are not made for hierarchies, but it works if you see the other way, so there is a lot of gain to get. There are many former SC's moving on in new names or forms and they continue in the same way in a new guise just.
