  • Atlanta is often called the cradle of the modern Civil Rights Movement. A strong infrastructure created by the organizations and businesses of “Sweet Auburn” Avenue combined with the city's historically black colleges and universities helped establish positive change during the 1950s and 1960s.

I noticed that this video has footage and interviews in the town of Monroe, Georgia. Are you familiar with the Moores Ford Bridge massacre of 4 black people that was committed there in the Monroe area back in 1946? Quite a story of a broad daylight, firing squad execution of two local black women and two black men there. It's well documented. The local sheriff was involved. And shout out to the Hester family there; they were involved in it from the very start of what lead up to it. Not enough documentaries are out on that town of Monroe.

I thank GOD 🙏🏾 that I wasn't brought up in this era 😔, and in theses types of places.
How STUPID!!!!!!, The Mayor, the Police department,ALL of the key people that it took to run a town, was a WEALTH OF STUPIDITY!!!!!
Seems to me,that the BLACK PEOPLE that they looked down upon were smarter than them.

Speak about your own grandparents... Mines were very educated for that time! They had businesses, land, homes, and they would show you something if you tried them... but my grandparents were up north...
