I love art so much that I want to use the ceiling space for display. I've got that popcorn stuff up there. Can I just glue artwork to it? What do you think? A wild idea I know. But I want it. Just like I want a crazily painted bathtub.
Thanks a lot for the comment. I just want to share some of my ideas with the community. I don't have the time to go through a very expensive and time consuming patenting process. If you want to sell these you would have my permission for it. ,😀
If you manage to have tight tolerances the same mechanism should also work on the ceiling - for small pictures. For large pictures I would route 4 keyhole slots and move the bit up by 1-2mm at the end of the slot so that the screw is trapped.

What do you mean by popcorn stuff?
That is a well engineered hanger, I am impressed. Have you thought of patenting it and selling it?

Great idea!
Brian Prusa Thank you.
My thoughts exactly.
Nice, but hardly a typical diy.
If you would use a scroll saw instead of a laser it would actually be a relatively simple DIY project. 😉
Do you have any ideas on how to hang that same picture but on the ceiling?
