Ben 10 Alien Swarm was directed by Alex Winter and released in 2009. The film stars Ryan Kelley as Ben 10 and had a budget of 40 million dollars. - Розваги
Thanks for the shout-out! I always have a soft spot for this film. Hope you'll eventually give Ultimate Alien a go.

If someone had told me that this was a Ben 10 movie made by the CW I would definitely believe them.
They totally should, have it be faithful to the source material somewhat where it still feels like it’s Ben 10 but edge it up like riverdale
@@thecrazydisneyparksfanatic921 I can’t tell if you genuinely think riverdale is good. Anything being like riverdale would be an absolute disaster
Yeah lol.
@@Boundless-Boredom I just meant like to do a show on Ben 10 being older and do it with the old fans in mind but have it be darker, not necessarily dark dark, maybe not like gruesome dark but just darker with a fair amount of the usual Ben 10 comedy give or take
But to still keep the OG fans into it without any of them storming off saying it’s too much unlike Ben 10
I like how Kevin's actor has almost the same voice as in the show. And also Kevin's car has more screen time than any of Ben's aliens.
I'm glad they had a 1980s hacking scene. A classic we need more of.

And the thing is this movies actually part of the Canon because Nanomech appeared in Ultimate Alien and Omniverse but made his debut in this movie
Oh yeah I forgot about that
and this movie showed how ben got his car from UA
this likely takes place between season 2 and 3 of AF as you can see kevin and gwen change from season 2 to season 3 clothes so ben was 16 from AFseason 2
Also Elena comes back
The first one is too since Eon appeared in Ultimate Alien after he was defeated by his universes Ben.
I remember thinking that this was going to be even better than the first, since it used Alien Force's style, and... It kinda was. The budget helped, but it still had the first movie's... Camp, but this in some CW teen drama. What I really remember is that the things that carried over from the movie were later made lesser than, like Elena became a Nano Swarm queen, Nanomech, appeared for a moment, but Gwen's outfit at the end of the movie became her season 3 outfit, and Ben's car became a mainstay. Oh yeah, there was a whole contest to win Kevin's car... And I wish I had it...
I remember that contest and getting so hyped when I saw the car. I also bought the DVD and we watched it in my fifth grade class only after showing it to everyone I knew did I realize it was a bad movie
Elena made a small cameo in Omniverse after being turned back to normal off-screen and Nanomech had a few apperances in UA and Omniverse. He even defeated a few Incurseans AND of all the enemies, Mad Ben's Way Big.
I entered that lol
And did you know the person who actually won the car did'nt even watched the show? PS they did'nt even knew how to drive the car
@@talhajaved4526 Ouch. That makes it even worse...
"Elaina was Ben's first crush."

After all that development between him and Julie, seemingly for nothing lol
@@zachanikwano they destroyed Ben's relationship with Julie AND Esther for the girl that just wanted to date a furry and didn't like Ben
What about Patty Birkenfeld from third grade?
@@emperortgp2424 ah those very thorough plumber files

IIRC, the Julie thing was just writers grave dancing. It was an on-purpose character assassination, just because other writers didn't like the character.
And this is coming from someone who like Kai with Ben & hates Julie most of the time.
That bit with Benand Elena stopping their respective motorcycles parallel to each other but diagonal to the street actually seems kinda cool.
I feel like that kind of stunt has been done in a number of other movies but I’m drawing a blank as to where I saw it
"Is it time?"
"Time for you to give us your money!"
Never noticed how hilarious this was
Thanks Billiam
In France this movie came out in theaters and even had preview showing. And 10 years old me got the chance to see the preview showing as a kid the experience was quite good
I find it so odd that this specifically is canon. Neither are particularly good films but I find the first one wayyy more enjoyable. It's cheesy and dated but at least it has Robert Picardo. It's even weirder that Eon from the first film specifically exists in the universe but not the main universe. Yet this film does.
The event in the movie happens but not the same way in the main universe, like the first movie, the event happens but in a different way
I’m pretty sure the other movie is canon. The eon that shows up in the show, is specifically mentioned to be from a alternate universe
Actually both are canon. Alien Swarm is in the main universe however Eon from Race Against Time ended up in the main universe at the end of that movie and became a villain in Ultimate Alien.
Technically the first is kinda canon. Since it´s the introduction of Eon as a villain.
Eon IS canon, oddly enough he appears in ultimate alien trying to reach ben's timeline using the hands of doom to take his powers and stuff
I remember when this movie first came out and I entered the online contest to win Kevin's live action car from the movie (hopefully, it would've been the car prior to it getting destroyed); I didn't win...still enjoyed the movie though for what it was.
Fun fact, someone actually won the car but he wasn't old enough to drive it
@@arthuredington6171 WTF?!?!?! HAHA dang I never knew who won but thanks for that fact lol

"She's trouble in a jug!"
If I dont hear that in every new Billiam video, OOOOH! Theres gonna be trouble in a jug for SURE!
Fun fact: I remember catching this on CN during its debut airing. They had this big ad campaign involving Kevin’s car where they were going to show codes or something during the airing and you could enter to try and WIN the car itself. Obviously I didn’t win but I remember me and my mom trying really hard because I loved Ben 10 and she really wanted the ride - Haha!

Remember when Cartoon Network had a bunch of live action stuff? Like who's dumb idea was it to have live action stuff on a "Cartoon Network"?
that was the era where I tapped out of watching tv all together. After the Ed Edd n Eddy movie and the live action nonsense aired nothing really held my interest. Even now there isn’t much to watch on tv
As opposed to what? Live action network? XD
The writers strike happened. Every network dealt with it the same way. Gut the budgets from creative teams and writing so that those unions don’t have any power, and make a bunch of low budget live action shows.
I guess this what their answer to the Teen Sitcoms of Disney and Nick.
This trend is still happening, especially regarding cartoons and anime.
I know why the studios are doing it, but why anyone would want to watch real actors interacting with CG shlock, instead of watching beautiful animation that is stylistically consistent, still eludes me.

After you point it out, yeah this does look and feel like a CW Teen Drama version of Ben 10. Except there Ben wouldn't turn into aliens, he would just have schizophrenia and a split personality disorder and only think he was turning into aliens as he beat people up and set things on fire.

Keep up the amazing work my guy
i distinctly remember a few shots from this, like the humongosaur fight and the dad with the tubes attached, but not much of the actual movie. personally i really liked that nanomech became a part of the alien cast in the animated show, it made this film feel like it mattered more than it would have otherwise. like, i had been trained to think that live-action adaptations would be ignored by the shows, but this felt like a legitimate part of the canon, which honestly elevates the experience to me.
I hope Billiam does Ultimate Alien, Heroes united, and Omniverse in his next few videos
He will. Hes also doing the reboot
Cartoon Network should have just stuck to... you know,... cartoons 🤷♀️
That being said, CW Ben 10 isn't a bad idea. It could feature Ben 10000 as an Old Man Logan style character except that he's 30. Which is old by kid standards.
They never explored Ben in his very late teens like 18-19 or early 20 I would of want that. It be perfect for cw due to it being a superpower related stuff as well.
I am kind of shocked he didn't mention anything about the fact they gave away Kevin's car in the premier of the movie.
This movie was a guilty pleasure for me when I was younger I loved it I was hoping that they would just bring Ben 10 in the DC universe

It's just a matter of time :).
I remember I used to like race agianst time. Looking back at it, I guess I could say I see why I like it, or why I liked to hear that opening
All I remember about this movie was it being one of the final signs of disrespect towards Ed Edd n Eddy. For those that don't know Ed Edd n Eddy aired its series finale movie, Big Picture Show, the week before Alien Swarm aired instead of treating their longest running series (the eds) with respect, they had a big part of the promotion being how you could catch a sneak peek of Alien Swarm right after. Ugh.
Ed edd n eddy always sucked
Not gonna talk about how that movie event included a giveaway with a neat watch and a whole ass car!?
The $41M alien made me choke. God level editing, Mr. Billiam.
I sure hope Warner Bros. Pictures,Village Roadshow Pictures,De Line Pictures,Berlanti Productions and Thunder Road Pictures would do a live-action movie adaptation of Ben 10 that sets in the Post-Omniverse timeline and add in the style of the live-action Transformers Movies and the live-action DC Superhero Shows.
Then the Director will cry for his version of the Movie , hash tags will appear n we get the full movie after 5 years .

I didn't watch this movie, but I did watch the Destroy Build Destroy episode that the actors all made appearances on. They wrecked a VW Bug painted like Kevin's car and plugged the hell out of the movie before every single commercial break.
I have really vague memories of this movie from when I was a kid, but I just know I hated it so much. I don't remember Gwen or Kevin in this movie and I just vaguely remember Ben's actor being there. Had no memory of the aliens or really what the plot was about.

Billiam, you're trouble in a jug. I love your videos. I also thought it was weird how Grandpa Max was portrayed in this movie, mostly because he wasn't Lee Majors anymore. Also, Humungasaur didn't talk, which was weird. He felt like a feral animal or something.
I remember they were gonna give away Kevin’s car as a give away.
I found one of his videos this morning and he’s just all I’ve watched today
All the movies, be it Secret of Omnitrix, Race against time, Destroy all aliens, Alien Swarm always felt disconnected from the main show. They always introduced new characters, villans and aliens instead of picking up from the show story.
Secret of the Omnitrix isn't disconnected, if you look at the production order of the episodes on Wikipedia the Season 4 episodes starts at 404 and ends at 413, meaning that Secret of the Omnitrix was three episodes put together into a movie. As for Destroy All Aliens, I have no clue as to when that might take place.
While RAT was retconned to being a different timeline, Alien Swarm is possibly between Seasons 2 and 3 of Alien Force but Ben's car not showing up until Ultimate Alien fudges the continuity on that one.
I'm really liking how the editing and comedy of these videos has evolved

When the movies are called "Ben 10", but you can never get half of the 10 aliens. I get budget is a thing, but the literal appeal of Ben 10 is the different aliens he can transform into. Otherwise, you're just watching angsty teens arguing when literally more exciting things can happen. A live action Ben 10 movie will use like 3-4 aliens, very sparingly, throughout the film. Then you'd get an animated movie that uses like a dozen, and sometimes back to back. I love live action movies, but if you can't do it right then don't do it.
Damn Billiam, this video was really well written and edited. I enjoyed it immensely. Good work.
I have to disagree on the kevin thing. I can literally see the cartoon kevin saying almost all of those lines.
Yeah, but cartoon Kevin would have said them in a lovably goofy way, this one...I don't know, he just feels a little too stiff and serious.
I think it's more of the line delivery of Kevin in the movie that makes it kind of lame.
