I hate guys that complain about fish in the bucket. I only fish for eyes in the spring and maybe take 10 home a year. I pay to fish I will eat as many as I'm allowed at the allowed size limits. I did good here a few weeks ago posted a video of me outfishung the drifters
Best fishing channel on UA-cam hands down!!!! I have a question though…. When should I fish shallow for walleyes right now I live in Des Moines Iowa and we are getting colder temps and usually I’ll catch walleyes in 5-12 ft but our river got very low and with slower current. I can find fast current but it’s just not the same depth as before. Walleyes are always thought to be shallow at night and deep during the day. But I’ve caught them very shallow during the day. And my question is when should I fish deep and when should I fish shallow? And does current really matter for walleyes ? Slack water scares me and I feel like they’re aren’t there so I usually move to a new spot that is faster current. Please help.
Hey man!! Lots of our water is low too...walleyes have been in deep holes for us. Deepest holes you can find on the river, there should be fish...can be hit or miss right now though. Never hurts to try shallow slack stuff quick just to see...after a warm day they might soak up some sun. But otherwise, focus on deeper stuff I would say.
