- Video and photos showing the work involved in making the Engrich ART 1200cc crankshaft, crankcases and cylinder head. The crankshaft for our 1200cc 360° parallel twin has a 3rd crank pin. Centrally located, it's half the stroke and runs a unique 2kg reciprocating tungsten balance piston.
Some of the machining operations shown - CNC milling and turning, manual lathe turning, cylindrical grinding, oil feed hole drilling (manual milling machine), line boring the main bearing journals on the crankcases, CNC machining the combustion chambers and valve seat recesses.
The ‘Engrich ART’ motorcycle was created to showcase the very finest of precision engineering and design. The only fully balanced large capacity 360° parallel twin in the world utilizing a reciprocating tungsten balance system.
