Apart from the PunchDown 2 master - Dawid "Zaleś" Zalewski, the slapfighting tournament was also attended by the Russian Slapping Champion Vasily "The Dumpling" Kamotsky (Vasily Kamotskiy, Пельмень) and Strongman Artur "Waluś" Walczak.
Wolverine - a returning slap fighter Jakub "Hecman" Rygiel, and debuting Maksymilian "Max" Leśniak also took part in the tournament, and he will surprise us more than once! 😉

That table is such bull! The smaller/chunkier competitors are at a big disadvantage! You could see Vasilie couldn't slap properly due to it!
He still won though even if he didn t get good enough slaps, i mean the other guy had stronger slaps tbh.

how is that bull? less built men are at a disadvantage so should we limit how hard you can hit your opponent? this is a competition, not everyone can be a winner. either you have the genes or you don't. deal with it.

@@lakinnenlako6883 It's just not very well edited... Sometimes they use a cut-away shot during a slap. Like why the fuck would you use the camera that's meant to show the whole stage when you can't see shit? Especially if the person on the left is the one striking.
I assume the person editing is some dude who claimed to know editing because he's used Adobe Premiere before. There are tons of odd choices in these videos though. It's still entertaining though, hopefully they can find an actual proper director and editor.

if he flinches he loses the round. The referee says it in the end of the fight.

@@bojidartodorov9274 punchdown was recently known only in Poland. It's just now that it got foreign attention due to some streamer. They will probably look down to the matter of subs.
And the rules are the rules. You throw your shoulder on the punch - you lose the round. Clean shots get more points. The flinch is comparable to getting rocked, as it means you can't take the punch.

I would love to see the full potential of the smaller reach guys with a smaller table between them. I think the size of the table really hampers their game with lower reaches.
it helps them when the tuck their chin against taller guys as tucking the chin hides the chin from the power hits of the low to high trajectory of the slap. So to be fair smaller tables for the tubby midgets but at the same time no hiding the chin

@@brandonharrison60162 lol for real. I found out if ur slapping 1st and u give a 3rd slap then u have to receive a 3rd one as well even if u know u already lost. That's why some guys quit after getting slapped a 2nd time even tho they can slap next.
This dude knew his 3rd slap was gonna need to be a knockout which it wasn't so he took the 3rd slap from opponent and headed home lol

Yes, it's all from one event that was live and on ppv at first. The next one is in just few weeks, but there were many complaints about the table also in polish comments, so I hope they will manage to do something about it.

Whats wrong with punchdown:
1. Why 3 rounds ? I didn't come here to get reaffirmed by the referee that Vasili is a fking slapping machine I cam here to see him knockout a 150kg+ guy. Match should end with either a knockout or a surrender.
2. No English subtitles... Punchdown this is a commercial endeavour. You guys can bet that I'am not paying whatever it is you charge for a pay-per view event in polish with no subtitles. Moreover, how do you expect to grow your audience through youtube when u don't have subtitles ??
3. Divide the contestants into weight categories. With no categories we see only some 150kg+ guys which can surely throw a slap but they also can withstand one. And what do we get ? A quarterfinal with no knockouts... Pretty sure that if you guys divide them into weight classes we will see some brutal knockouts in the featherweight category. Think about it for a second, light guys who can throw punches but barely can take one. It will be brutal trust me.
4. What the fuck is wrong with this table ??? Make it thinner half the guys have bellies sticking 30cm in front of them and can hardly reach their opponent. Shorter competitors are also at a disadvantage. Is this a weird way to give fatter and shorter guys a disadvantage ???
5. This whole betting side of it seems real fking shady. I am not placing a bet on a match whose outcome can be decided by a referee probably according to what bets have been placed prior. You can also be sure I don't care who the referee declares the winner of the match for the exact same reason
6. And finally and probably the most important point I will mention. Do something about flinching, make them repeat the slap or some other penalty. Once again the guys facing Vasili and Walus were scared shitless and flinched on every of their slaps. The guy facing Walus went so far to the point he basically ruined his slap by using his shoulder to deflect his hand ???? Sorry but I am not here to see a guy trying to make sure his head stays on his shoulders because he is facing a slapping machine. I came to see him knocked out.

I get your point and i agree with you for the most part. But regarding your third point, i agree that there should be more weight classes but this perticular championship was obviously a heavyweight Championship, and if you don't like "some 150kg+ guys which can surely throw a slap but they also can withstand one" then mabye heavyweight isn't for you.
And regarding point 6, The penalty is that they get redacted points for flinching, that's why "Maly" lost against Walus.
It looks like they bet on the higher guys because they have huge advantage because of this fucking table. Shady af

The larger guy in the first fight switches slapping hand each round, he must be ambidextrous which is so cracked
i thought that at first but idk if he’s AS ambidextrous with his left, his form looks a little off, i don’t think that’s an effective strat either if you truly were ambidextrous since the damage is spread out, i think it would be best to just keep going on the same side each round, unless you hurt your elbow or something then i feel like the ambidextrous method isn’t as effective
