My heart broke with this episode, I could feel Anil's helplessness because despite trying everything, you can't be with the one you love 🥺 Regarding loving someone of your same gender, the series is timeless and contributes to reflect on this topic because it was something that happened before, but it still happens…
I really understand where Anin and Pin are coming from, I don't blame them for the decisions they make. They both come from different backgrounds. Pin has lived a life of submission so she doesn't know anything else and Anin is braver because she has a family that loves her but her disappointment and anger are understandable. I blame Aunt Patt and Kuea. On the other hand, I understand why Pin does not want Anin to give up her title. Because in order to resign, Anin's father would have to accept to make it official, then her title would be removed and she would become a commoner. All of her wealth and belongings attached to her title would be taken away and she would obviously no longer have the right to live in the palace or see her family. And because of the "shame" it would bring to her family, she would most likely have to move to another country. So Pin doesn't want Anin to sacrifice all that for her because more than material things, Pin knows that Anin loves her family and being away from them in the end it would hurt her too. So I understand why Pin thinks it's a lot of sacrifice.
i understand both pin and anil in this situation. anil has been pampered all her life. she's used to getting what she wants so no wonder the one thing she can't have is hurting her so bad. given her status she can fight to an extent and that's what she does. but for pin she has always been raised as an inferior. she was always told that she's under the royal family's mercy since she became an orphan. she basically doesn't even have a ground to fight for all she can do is abide by. she can't claim anil how anil can claim her. also during that time leaving your title is very drastic. you'd have to leave all your properties, wealth and become a commoner. even if they're educated they become a black sheep of the family and disgrace to society. this is why it's a serious issue mentioned in the series.
The clear and understandable😭 thing is that in this episode there is a lot of sadness, pain and drama expressing the extent of pain and love between a princess, but there are also details that we must see. At that time, in the fifties of the last century, if homosexual love was forbidden and prohibited, especially since the princess was from a high class, which was a😭💔 very high class, and if something like this was noticed about her or her family, the royal title would be taken from her and she would be ostracized. As for the wolf, she would be taken to a mental or psychological hospital, because at that time they treated homosexuals in this way. They said that they were mentally ill and put them in mental hospitals. They often tortured them in Asia, America, Europe or the entire world. This issue was very delicate. They dealt with them in this way, very harshly and violently, and sometimes it reached the point of murder. Therefore, the wolf was very afraid for the princess, and out of her intense love for her, she decided to sacrifice herself to marry that so-called man, and she did not love him and would not love him and would not love anyone else except the princess. It is unfortunate that everyone was comforting Princess Anin, and no one was comforting the wolf, even the princess was very angry. From her and her treatment of her harshly yes I understand her but not to that extent that she is alone and an orphan her arrogant aunt who made her like an object or something she adopted and he must do what she says who was really suffering silently and very painfully is the lady and I was really hurt a lot for her situation as for the acting is wonderful, an amazing performance by Freen and Becky and especially Freen because she did not have a long dialogue but the language of the body and eyes and face express and convey all the feelings and pain that she was living and she conveyed all her feelings to the viewers I take my hat off to her as for Becky she had a lot of dialogue and she often talks to others so she conveyed what she wanted also her expression and crying and I found for sure the ending will be very beautiful as for the drama the drama must be classic not a drama that contains fantasy because the social class they are talking about is high class so it must be treated in a classic way my drama fantasy does not suit this series or its events❤
Good reaction, well timed and thoughtful interruptions, I cried so much over this episode, understand both Pin and Anin's action, Pin especially for me is in a harder place because she had so many inner demons in head. I think this is the first time I commented on one of your reactions, but this episode got me so emotional I need to let it out by typing something. Currently my favourite GL
nothing to do with their ability to running away, sustain themselves - they surely have that ability. It is all about Anil giving up her title - it is not about rank or power - it is equivalent to severing ties with her family (in royalty - you become commoner and you can't see your family again). The prince have to formally write a written request to the King's administration to denounce his daughter, they have to provide a reason and will be submitted to the gazatte like everyone will know - this would be a shame to the family name. Anil will have to change her surname, and she will lose all her princess privileages. So, is their love and eloping worth sacrificing all the love their family gave them- because remember, Pin actually only have Aunty - she has nothing to lose running away. But Anil has everyone who love her like treasure - she will lose all that and bring shame to the family. The Prince gave a safe place for Pin to live when she was orphaned. It is also gratitude and loyalty that pushed her to say what she said in order to stop Anin from throwing her title away. Honestly, had Anil not been so rash, she could have convinced her parents to let them live quietly together and they will probably let her 55555 but then where will we get the drama lol
in the novel, the big brother secretly has a crush on Lady Uang Fah but he knows that this love's not possible. He has to marry the one that his parents find suitable for him. so that's why he said that he understands Anil. (But in the series, they changed this part and made big bro sees Lady Uang Fah as a cousin only)
Yes, I dont like that part so thankful that they didnt go with that route and only gave like a shoutout in that scene. I don’t like that hetero storyline
The most painful for me in Anil and Pin is - Pin is a person when crying but noone is near her, only Sasa, no family. - Anil is a person had to see whole engagement preparation in front of her eyes, which tortures her day by day I cried so hard in this ep, because they reminds me a lot of my own pains that i had in the past, my eyes hurt too much. Pin sacrifices herself not let Anil to lose her tittle, her family which loves her so much because of Pin, Pin knows how hurt without family. Anil get hurt a lot while fighting for her love, quit her tittle but Pin quit easily. Both of them ... are painful of love, the more they love each other, the more pain they got.
Freenbecky is the best actress especially I love scene anil fighting for her love that makes me so emotional whenever I watch and rewatch ❤. It is the best series thanks writers and directors and any actress and actor do so good as well❤.
Actually, the older brother or Prince Anan did understand Anin's pain (in terms of loving someone you can't have). In the book though they change it, someone said because it was the ministry of commerce's request, Prince Anan was in love with Khun Eungfah who is his cousin, so he did not pursue it but did not mean he love her less. He just learned to live with it and even after he was married to Lady Parvati, he continues to have affection to Lady Eungfah and even the second brother and Anin knew about it but did not say anything. Prince Anan also knew that Lady Eungfah was in love with Anin for according to the book, his eyes always stray to Eungfah whenever she's around, but Eungfah is always looking at Anin with the same affection as he was looking at her. That's why he was so understanding towards Anin's feeling apart from she is his favorite sibling.
I think if we didn't see you cry in this ep we won't😂 Thank you for the reaction and I liked the reflections and thoughts. When Anil gives the silver pin to Pin I was thinking that princess Dararai was there and she gave them to Anil...
28:24 dangg, this episode felt really long :') all of the characters has their own reasons, and it frustrating me out.. i have no idea how they're gonna resolve this conflict 😮💨
37:03 i kinda understand anin's mom, at the time they're in-- she could be accepting, but also really worry about how the world gonna treat her daughter. i mean, it's how the majority of people's mind is programmed to think back at that time. i know it's a flawed way of thinking, especially in the modern world.. but back then it kinda makes sense, in some culture people has burn some of women's houses just bcs they think they're witches.. and this topic is just as taboo as being a witch😭 so yeah, in a way i understand her😭

This episode was a good summary of Anin's pain. The one thing I didn't like about the novel was how Pin was too passive in her actions so we saw her crying a lot compared to Anin. I believe the series will introduce some changes for Pin so I am excited for that. I like how today we focused on Anin breaking down. She is hurt and rightfully so. She has been insecure and worried about their love from the beginning. She is just as jealous, vulnerable and wary that it can be taken all away. But she presents herself as strong for the sake of Pin and their love. The show has done well to adapt and add changes here and there. Neither are at fault. I understand both sides.
Pin sacrifices herself because she doesn't want Anin to be outcasts from her family and society. that's my opinion If im not mistaken, the free love movement was the started in Europe in the 50s after the war, and that's why Anin is more open-minded or or liberal about her feelings. Anin can share her feelings with her brother and other significant people in her life, but Pin has none, no one beside her to share her pain.
Once Anil shares with her older brother the information about seeing Mr. K with another woman, I feel the older brother will immediately investigate and take charge without telling Anil right away. He will not have this guy take advantage of Pin and disgrace the family.
Watch it for second time, I feel disappointed with Pin. I understand why she make the decision. But please accept the consequences of that decision. And in the preview for next episode, did Anin come to Pin, telling her about a plan to "destroy" kunkea, but Pin still choose the marriage path? Can someone give spoiler?

Pin thinks she has taken the route that causes the least harm to everyone, yet she has neglected her own emotions.🥺
