- This is Elton's beautiful song called "Never Too Old (To Hold Somebody)" live from Youngstown, Ohio, United States 1st. May, 2010 at his Rocket Man Tour 2010. The album will probably be released in October 2010.
- Enjoy!
I have been a fan of Elton's since 1970, I love the classic years, but I heard him in Israel last week, a WONDERFUL performance, and I found his voice really mature, mellow, and so so soothing, as always. What a pleasure. Just enjoy him. He is one of the few true masters.
I want to just add that you are never to old to truely fall in love with somebody either. What a terrific song.
I almost cry during this beautiful song, and such a sensitive performance - it's got so much feeling and so little "spunk" that his usual performances do. I like that - it's dynamic that way.
awesome upload! thanks very much :) cant wait for the rest of the concert
What a beautiful song :)
Thanks for the show. Was hoping someone would have great sounding uploads since we weren't able to get tickets for the show.
I've read 32 reviews of the album and they're overwhelmingly positive- only 5 negative. Many are gushing: "special", "a triumph", "landmark", "best album of the year", *terrific", "Elton's best since GYBR", "wondrous", "wonderful", truly great", "a great credit to both", "happy reunion indeed"...
That's quite a recording. However did you manage it? (Clive Franks--eat your heart out.) Many thanks.
@BluesAustralia Its Davey Johnstone hes been playing with Elton, his band that is lol since the begining
guess there is a new album on the way then?
@markchapman1976 To that can be added, and #3 in the US, after all these years
whos the happy dude on Guitar????
@mikeaurand Like cheap screw off cap Elderberry wine!
Worst song on an excellent album. It's poor alretney who has a fixation, judging from horrible comments he's put elsewhere. It amazes me how people have nothing better to do with their time than go round youtube stirring up ill feeling, whereas Elton is still busy giving pleasure to millions
@alreltney If you are so anti Elton, then why are you wasting your time here? Go elsewhere and listen to whatever music you do like.
@alreltney pls dont be a hypocrite iff being a gay is only the reason why you hate elton, well small minds has yet to grow.....
@mikeaurand I would much rather be a Jesus freak as you put it, Than too die with out hope, and spend eternity in Hell! And I have met Elton and have talked with him, and have all kinds of things signed by him! But I am also honest and would rather remember him in his prime, than as a legend beyond his time!so really his best is behind him literally!
@paultheactor1 Yes I thought I was the only fan that thought this. His voice was great in the 70s it became deeper but stronger in the 80s thanks to Tom Robinson but thanks to drugs and oversinging he destroyed it. His voice after losing the falsetto got worse and worse and it has practically fizzled out around Songs of the West Coast. Now he barks and moans and wheezes his way through each performance it's sad.
