As an owner of a k8 650, I am supremely jealous. Genuinely, the Mk1 b12 is my dream bike. I adore the shape of the tank, it looks MEAN with twin headlights, and while it may not be very fast, I've heard it has excellent usable torque anywhere from 2-6k rpm, and with the long gearing of the 5 speed, it's perfect for urban travel but also perfect for motorways. It's the best of both worlds and in my opinion, is one of the purest, no gimmicks motorcycles out there. Nice riding as well dude, very observant.
What a beautiful example of a 1200 Bandit. A few years ago i had the Mk1 1200 Bandit in Black. And i'm not usually a fan of the sit up style ride, i prefer the sport or superbike drop handlebars & lay on the tank. My previous bike was a FZR 1000. But DAMN i loved the ride, the riding position, and the Torque was amazing. Didn't need to change down like on my Yamaha, it pulled in every gear. It also wheelied (without slipping the clutch) in 1 - 4, it was only fifth that needed a little touch on the clutch. Not that i did wheelies much. But my FZR 1000 wouldn't do that, it needed clutch for all except 1st & 2nd, sometimes 3rd, if you had the Revs right. But i now am converted to the 'Sit up style' especially as i'm now in my 50's.
Heard from a biker who had both? Said that the 1200 had more mid range Torque than the 1250? And that's Bandit Time Acceleration. So so Banditless it is a Constant Ache.
Nice riding, your bandit sounds great. I’ve got a dark metallic green MK1 1200 and I love this machine so much. A retro air/oil cooled machine with modern tyres and suspension. Best wishes
Hi John. Some cheap aftermarket mirrors. I cannot check exactly because I swapped this bike for Honda CB1300 and it's what I ride lately. Safe ride and all the best 🙂
Hey. I got it with 71k on the clock, run it till 79k and then input shaft snapped in half one day damaging crank case in the process also. I replaced whole engine and managed to get one with 15k miles only. So, old bike with pretty much new heart now.

Congratulations on the courtesy in traffic, it makes all the difference. The bike's sound is magnificent, full-bodied without exaggeration. Hug

I've just bought a 99 MK1 and yeah totally agree 👍

This is what I love about my B12…docile and easy to ride in traffic and when I want to unleash the monster, it’s there.
Time stamp for the monster?

@@MariuszZaleski13 Thanks for the reply
Looks like 77k miles on the bike. How many on it when you bought it? Have you adjusted the valve clearance?

@@MariuszZaleski13 A horror story with a happy ending...well done.
Is that legal in your country, i mean driving between 2 cars to the lights?
Legal on motorways for sure and if safe I do it also on local roads
