A Xth Legion song about how they struggled during the Horus Heresy after the death of their Primarch Ferrus Manus. This is one of my favourite songs I've wrote and I hope you guys like it. It would take a whole lore video to breakdown the lyrics but in short it's about the Iron Hands trying to hold their legion together, misplacing their anger and misunderstanding their Primarch's final words. Themes of loss & tragedy, how it affects those around you, the drive for revenge, misinterpreting a deceased's words and the martyrdom that often follows.

I love how your legion songs really emphasize their flaws, rather than just singing about how badass they are: The savagery of the Space Wolves as they burned Prospero to the ground, the depression and delusion of the Iron Hands. Keep up the great work man! I'd love to see what you put together for the Emperor’s Children, especially since noise marines are pretty much canonically metalheads.
Well spotted! When I started this project I really wanted to dive deep into every aspect of the legion so delighted to see like minded people are noticing it. I’ve got a few ideas for Emperor’s Children so it might be more than one song.
it's always good to see the Primarch and legion with some of the smallest amount of lore about them get some love.
I wasn’t sure how popular the Iron Hands are, they are one of the least fleshed out legions but losing their Primarch opened up a lot of lyric ideas the others don’t have.
You keep surprising me. A sudden stream of quality 40k songs and someone that remembers that the Iron Hands exist. Fascinating. I do have to ask though...

@@MastemaJack like many fans I have a whole fan fiction of the lost Primarchs and their legions. A good portion of what I wrote ended up being turned into lyric ideas for this project. If I complete songs for all 18 legions it would be fun to do one for the lost legions.

After listening to the 4 songs currently out this one is my favorite. Unbreakable was really good but this one kinda reminds me a little of old school Linkin Park my childhood band. Although I am excited to see what the song for the Ultramarines, Blood Angels, and Black Templars will sound like as thoughs are my favorites. As always though great work keep it up.🤟

@@LorcanWard From my understanding, everyone say that the Iron Hands are one of, if not the most, underrepresented of the original Legions, alongside Raven Gaurd and White Scars, but only a small percentage play them in game. Don't know how many actually enjoy their lore.
Edit: Just found out that apparently a lot of people like to run them competitively.

@@LorcanWard it’s a great battle and has a lot of specific aspects and moments that I think make it pretty great especially for a song. There’s moments like when Saul Tarvitz fled to the planet surface so he could warn all the loyalists to take cover. Then you’ve got the excellent speech when they emerge from the rubble and Loken declares they will fight to the death and they are Sons of Horus no more, they are reborn and emerge from the ashes of Istvaan 3 as Luna Wolves once more. There’s when Angron in a fit of rage personally leads an assault to kill the loyalists who survived, he wants to kill them himself instead of letting Horus just bomb them again. Then when (I forget who exactly) talks about how the Astartes know no fear, but when they saw Angron The Red Angel charge, they couldn’t help but run. You’ve got Garviel Loken, Tarik Torgaddon and Saul Tarvitz leading the resistance. Then you have Loken and Torgaddon fighting Abbadon and Aximand. Then the traitors retreat and the remaining loyalists stand tall and face doom on their feet as now Horus can wipe them out with another bombardment. The loyalists fight a doomed battle but fight anyway because “Fuck you and fuck it we ball.” Shits like Ragnarok. You could maybe even leave it a bit up in the air that their loyalists rage and wrath lives on with one survivor. Garviel Loken, Cerberus, Legion of One.

another banger. give me a realy a numetal or very light metalcore feeling. might i ask what band inspired you for this song? also i would honestly thought industrial would fit the ironhands well so this is a very welcome suprise.
There is a lot of influence in this song. I feel this is my main style. It mixes a lot of American metalcore like Killswitch, All that Remains with BTBAM and Protest the Hero but it’s also got a European power metal(Children of Bodom, sonata Arctica) sound in places.
Sometimes I set out to write a song in a style about a legion and it becomes something else but I’ve a future industrial song for another legion.
I get Slipknot vibes here, which is of course a good thing! You're unbreakable!

That’s exactly why I choose it :) the next galactic empire was nearly being brought down again by humanity’s creations rebelling. “A cycle of demise” is talking about the DAOT. Also one of the songs theme’s is misunderstanding which is in the title itself. I think I need to do lyric breakdowns someday cause these things might not be easy to pick up on.

@@michealsoh8432this quote from “Wrath of Iron” is what the chorus is a reference too, especially the last line which they have misunderstood. So the use of “men of iron” is also a misunderstanding that I felt fit the song well.
