  • Keeper’s Pond, South Wales
Today, we visited one of our favourite spots in South Wales: Keeper’s Pond!
Keeper’s Pond is a popular wild swimming spot with the locals of Blaenavon and South Wales. Keeper’s Pond is just north of Blaenavon in the Brecon Beacons, and is a great spot to visit all year round (even if it’s pretty chilly in the winter)! With amazing views, great camping and easy parking, you can see why Keeper’s Pond is a favourite with the locals of South Wales.
Legend has it, Keeper’s Pond acquired the name as after a local invented the phrase: “Finders Keepers” there. Just kidding. I have literally no idea why it’s called Keeper’s Pond.
Keeper’s Pond is a favourite of ours and a perfect little spot to spend an evening away. We’ve driven our van conversion here a few times and with it’s amazing views, and plenty of great wild camping spots, it’s no surprise we keep coming back.
BORING INFO: It has (some) car parking... Maybe 25 spaces. Technically you’re probably not allowed to camp in the car park, but the surrounding area seems to be up for grabs. It does get busy on sunny holidays, so get up sharp if you want to nab a space!
