Andy, can you fit a prefiltter bafore the pump . I've seen a pond where the guy had a filter off a paddling pool. Would you be able to do that it maybe easyer to clean.
Thanks, Peter. I don't really have the room for a pre filter, and it normally wouldn't be a problem. I just let it get too long, something I don't usually do.
@DerbyKoi that's fine it's just that I've seen a padling pool pot before the pump he didnot use the pump that was with it. It was about the size of a kettle. So, just a thought .I hope you are all fine.
It might seem a bit of a mad idea but if you could make something like a witches broom 🧹 and wrap it through and pull the blanket weed it would help keep it from getting as bad. Gwen 🧓

I have installed a pond zinger from Hatton koi in my moving bed and the blanket weed has disappeared.

Hi Allen, Unfortunately, it's collection only as you need a licence to send livestock.
Instead of spending good money on chemical solutions for the weed,why not spend that money on some form of canopy to protect from the direct sunlight.

Blanket answer works however it can make sludge black sticky stuff I always use hydrogen peroxide which kills the blanket weed 1lt per 1000gal 3%
