Harbaugh knows his football and the Chargers should be contending within 2 years. They had alot of cutting to do like the Bills did and it's going to take a little while to replenish.

Thank God, the Raiders drafted the first two time winner of the Mackey award and a one of the best TE prospects ever. And the Rimington award winner: ‘Powers-Johnson ranks above all FBS centers in pass-blocking grade (91.3), overall grade (83.2) and run-blocking grade (83.1) by PFF, and has allowed just one pressure in 471 pass-blocking opportunities.’

Drafting a Punter is totally fine, especially a guy who has punted more than anyone in collage. Drafting a a kicker is not a great idea. You talk about Moody, 9ners fans blame him for the Super Bowl missing just 1 extra point. Kicking is about confidence and the less pressure you can put on them the better. Punters it’s just about how fast and hard you can kick.
So if you see a kicker you like and your team needs one you should risk someone else snatching him up as an UDFA? I get what you are saying but in reality that strategy does not work

The Eagles draft pretty close to the consensus draft board which is why pundits love their drafts every year. Doesn’t mean it works out, you look at those “steals” from years past - Nakobe Dean hasn’t done anything and Nolan Smith was so hyped up yet couldn’t make it onto the field even when the Dline was struggling
Making an argument that a team isn’t good at drafting players perceived as good value for the pick because two of them didn’t work out is a weird argument to make. But also it’s not very efficient to evaluate a draft within 3 years of the pick. Some players will struggle and then figure it out or a player could have an amazing rookie year and then fizzle out. The Eagles get love from pundits because their GM makes more good decisions than bad which can be seen by fielding a competitive team for the most part since their GM took over.
If you're going to plagiarize pundits, please don't pick Nick Wright.
Terrible examples. Dean has only had one year as the designated starter and he was injured, which could happen to any player. He still has a chance to prove his value this season. And Nolan Smith was never meant to start last season. Everyone knew he needed a season or two to add size for his position. Howie and every team pick busts every year, but you usually can't tell that until after a few years

The Eagles draft is nothing special. Dejean has no position, Will Shipley is underproductive, and the receivers are 50/50 propositions. It may be a good draft, but I feel like PFT and Chris love on the Eagles GM a bit too much
They got 3 really good players and another with a very high ceiling. Also most players are 50/50 especially from the 4th round on.

I think its the value the first two picks. Mitchell projected to go 12 to 16, while Cooper was supposed to be a first rounder.

Whatever anyone thinks the Eagles have been one the best run organizations in the past 24 years. Been in the playoffs 16 times, 3 super bowls and 1 championship. Not the best, but definitely a top 10 organization
