I know Eurydice is supposed to be about Orpheus and Eurydice, but this composition reminds me of the painting of ‘Ivan the Terrible and His Son Ivan’. The sheer horror and madness in Ivan’s eyes is an image that will forever haunt me, the same way this piece is so very haunting.
