I recently discovered the dark academia aesthetic. I've never been so drawn to an aesthetic before. Dark Academia embodies so many things I already enjoy. I have some upcoming dark piano pieces that fit perfectly into this aesthetic, so there will definitely be a volume 2. 🖤
This hauntingly beautiful painting is called "Vision of St. Francis of Assisi" by Jusepe de Ribera.
I know some of you have been waiting for more than 2 years. Volume 2 is finally here!!

My music is created from the heart and I’m blessed it has reached so many of you beautiful souls. The comment section is wholesome, thank you for all your lovely comments. I’m glad this became a safe space for you to share what you feel and connect with kindred spirits 🤍
I'm truly grateful to everyone who's been listening, liking, commenting and sharing.. I appreciate you opening your heart to my music. I know how hard it is sometimes to feel all our emotions, this is one of the reasons why I compose music, to let myself feel deeply…
Many have been wondering about the author of these pieces. I've included one cover in the playlist, my re-arrangement of the song ‘Once Upon a December’ by Stephen Flaherty. All the rest are original pieces I've composed and produced over the years. I’m Mounia Sebti and Invadable Harmony is my artist name, it’s the eerily bewitching home to my musical creations.
Once Upon a December is one of my favorite pieces, and it makes me thrilled to see many of you loving my eerie version just as much I do 🖤

@Nykodym Levandovskyy totally, I'm just kinda irked that almost all the playists I find it ALWAYS includes Claire when there are do many others. Its not that serious tho lol, people like what they like
@Nykodym Levandovskyy not only is it not dark, it isn't really even classical either. Its french expressionism. Different animal altogether.
I'm glad to find a playlist that doesn't confuse the two.
it's an amazing song got me into classical music, it's my fav but... its not dark
NOOOOO ITS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE SONG EVER. I WILL NOT TAKE CLAIR DE LUNE SLANDER.
It is something to be grateful about.
I just realized you're the composer of all of these... Amazing work, it's hard for me to find pieces like these that could inspire/motivate me. Thank you !
well, I'm pretty sure they're not. at least "once upon a december" was written by Stephen Flaherty, and this is definitely not his account
@@Hanna-om8bt She literally composed all of them!! And thats her own version of « Once upon a december » She’s amazingly talented 😩😍
@@divinefairy1719 arranging & composing are two very different things no?

@@fishst6233 I think it's from/used in the disney classic Anastasia, written by David Newman. However, the version used in this video, is either remixed to fit the dark academia aesthetic, or is a much darker original, of which I don't know the origin.

"I still remember when I placed the flower onto your grave. The sky was cloudy, the weather, gloomy and enigmatic. Some were crying, some were in anguish and some even laid down their bodies beside you, hoping for a miracle. An inevitable miracle to lift you from your deep sleep and restore you back to life"
" I have always loved you, even if I didn't show it. Please don't think otherwise. This flower will slowly decay into nothingness so will you; together you two will embrace the solitude and bask in solidarity"

I know right, some "Dark Academia Playlists" are just classical study music with no darkness.
The black candle flickered in the window as the drafty old frame no longer closed properly. The home like the window was falling into disrepair with each year that past.
The candle knew the life would be extinguished at any moment and the soul from the body would return. The house would once again become new and another person would be granted three wishes.
Be careful what you wish for said the candle as it might just come true.
Brilliant music for writing.

Same here. 🖤
"Another second, another name. The ghostly grim face smiled. A smile so innocently captivating that even death holds its hands to admire it a little while longer.
She reaches with a dainty hand towards the book and opens it up. As the page flips, small spheres of light float upward ever so gently. Like a cloud's tear running along the window pane. So delicate.
They disappear from her sight and she wishes farewell. Another second, another name."
Beautiful. 🖤
Dainty hand? Why not use synonyms and more descriptive textured words?
"She sprawls her algid and aching phalanges towards the brittle pages as the dust flits in the light upon its opening"
@@whatabouttheearth If you say so. However, death to me is a delicate process. Although it's considered an end, its always a begging to something else. It's grim but happens silently. I didn't want a spark, which is how I saw your description. I wanted a feather gently falling, "dainty."
Ps. The "spheres of light" wasn't actually "dust" although it sounds like it is.
@@jelly4364
Interesting. You saw "algid and aching" as a spark? My point was non common words with texture paint something more. And yeah, I just added dust, usually it symbolizes something near an end, as in old and decrepit, ashes to ashes.
Taphonomy and Anatomy vocabulary assists well in creatively speaking of death, Thanotology also, but that's mainly about loss and grief counseling.
There is an interesting article titled 'An Ecological Perspective on the Role of Death in Creation' by John R. Wood that you may find interesting. (Even though I think religion is absurd, still an interesting article)
Some good books available for free on Library Genesis (almost any book can be found there for free):
'Life Everlasting: The Animal Way of Death's by Bernd Heinrich
'The Biology of Death' by Gary C. Howard
'Vertebrate Taphonomy' by R. Lee Lyman
'Manual if Forensic Taphonomy' edited by James T. Pokines & Steven A. SYMES
'Taphonomy of Human Remains'
@@whatabouttheearth Religion may be absurd but in a world (or existence for that matter) we know so little of it gives hope. 😂 I'll definitely check those books out. They sound interesting.
Sounds like a Resident Evil save room theme. Very dark, soothing, peaceful among the wretched nights of terror. Serenity in fire😌❤

"She came in and kissed me, pretending and believing I will never die. I know better. I’m old. Old can only get older and more painful. I’ll die… soon to, too soon... for a thousand years longer would still be too soon to leave the warmth of her limitless love.
"Dear God of Heaven, let me be ever kind and gentle of soul with her through this darkening winter.
"Dear God of Grace, if mercy be your chief character, take me first. I am too weak to lose her."

"Now to this day that I am dead
Your weary words still fill my head
As the fire grew, so did your smile
I stop and sit and think for a while
Would the difference of us make it occult
Or was it perhaps all my fault
I ponder here, weak and weary
As the earth caves into me, alone and scary
Now to this day that we are dead
My weary words will fill your head"
Poem energy
"When I lie in the comfort of rain, each drop is a world of happiness, and I forget my troubles. My worries, my doubts -- all melt when grey skies return. Each time, I forget that the blinding light of the sun returns to torment me day after day, until winter arrives, and the drops of happiness that I loved so dearly quickly become nothing but cold and painful ice with naught but malice and despair contained deep within. Yet, it feels as if each winter is longer than the last, with no closure as it melts away into spring, once again to bring a downpour of joy upon the world around me. This time is different, however. Where once was comfort in skies of gray, and mirth in drops of rain, now shows only longing in the skies, and numbness upon my skin. The sun still blinds me, the ice still harms me, but now even the happiness of rain no longer comforts me."
These songs bring back memories for me of times I was in college, especially when I had to stay late during the fall during that golden hour where the sun has just set, yet the night did not entirely reign in darkness. Wonderful list of music, and to those who preformed/created these pieces!

He peeked around the corner once more, to look at the girl who had, just before now, looked at him with such a light and passion, and hope. He hated how she saw hope when she looked at him. For he had nothing to feed her hope. Everything she thought of him was built upon lies and simple deceits. As he turned away, he assured himself once more, that he deserved nothing. He deserved nothing and wanted everything. And she deserved the world, but he knew, the world does not deserve her. So that is why he must protect her from it. And the truth.
OMG I thought this was just a bunch of random music compiled by a random person but you ACTUALLY did these!! Once upon a December❤❤. Memories from Anastasia. I love the entire playlist
the composition is so dark but yet elegant, beautifally orchestrated
This music makes me miss my family...all the time passed by without. Everyone in their own worlds.
The world is always the same, some just have different ways of interpreting it, wrong or not...
I have been lucky and unlucky enough to have that kind of " family " myself . I heard from word of mouth last night my mom may be dead . I went out anyway as planned . I have no regrets . If she is dead she would have dug the event I was at . If she is not ... Oh well she leached off of me my entire youth and helped form this me that has to use things like air quotes around words like family . If I have to say brother I use them to with a nasty metal like taste in my mouth I think of it as tasting my own blood on fangs I no longer really have but I feel them . I remember there fangs in my young skin they fed on me until I had nothing left and a man came and helped me push them out so I have a chance now to come back and heal a little now . Then I was worse . Now I have faced more and seen things I can not come back from . There is no unlearning . I tried rewiring my mind . Nothing removes the truth .
I've only recently discovered classical music, particularly dark classical and I'm absolutely in love with it. I adore this playlist.

You gave me a idea as an artist I thank you… I made a grim reaper character that has no emotion had long dark silky hair, eyes that where hollow, a samurai sword that cuts deep, a voice that would make people shake in fear… everyone but a little girl…”Hello sir, What’s your name”… He didn’t respond to her… Her little eyes beaming up upon him… His eyes where darker than the night sky… “Are you from here?”she said with curious face… “No an Yes” he said with no expression… “What?? Your silly mister” She said with a giggle “Your cloths are funny looking, aren’t you cold?” She said… “I’m fine, the cold doesn’t bother me”… silence for a moment… “Its snowing very badly out side, mama says to never go out there”…”Or else you would be swallowed by the snow”… he ever so slowly starts to reach his sword the suddenly, he felt a little tug on his pants… “Hey are you okay? Let me check your temperature” he paused for a moment… he kneeled down on one knee and closed his eyes, leaning his head down, so she can reach with her small arms…but she didn’t put her small hands on his head but, his pale ice cold cheeks.” Your very cold, brr” she said with a shiver… He quickly pulled away for he didn’t expect that. His eyes slightly open with disbelief “ Did I scare you? Oh I’m sorry, mommy says it’s not nice to scare someone”….strange he thought… why can she see him, if she’s still alive she shouldn’t be able to.. she the little girl had cuts and bruises, covering her face to her small feet. Her hair brown as a willow tree, her eyes where green so full of life yet, she doesn’t… he couldn’t help but curiously enough, felt a bit warm on the inside… AND That’s where I stop if you like what you read, Do tell me and like the comment I’ll write more somewhere else!! Simply wonderful music, perfect for reading from my massive book of Edgar Allan Poe’s works, my murder drama’s, and for focusing on my writing. Thanks for uploading!

"a green and blue haze began to rise above the hillside scape as her feet began to leave the ground. They called her up, further up until her fingers brushed past the trees and her head rose above the canope of the old oak forrest. They had finally come. A promise for-filled. A lifetime of waiting finally over. Her dark family, finally returning to reclaim their child. They hadn't forgotten. Shed always remembered. Home. At last. Those below cried out to her, a small glance, she cared not."
I’m gonna conquer the world with this playlist
