i know this is late as all hell lol but what scales/arpeggio ideas were you running through from 0:45 to around 0:55 that's the exact kind of playing i'm trying to get into and man i just don't think i'm visualizing the fretboard right haha. sick jam regardless!
Hey, so as a start for playing over an Aminor7 tonality, try emphasising the Major 6th and skipping the b7. You can play a pentatonic/blues scale emphasising the major6, skipping the b7 and it really emphasizes "dorian-ness". I'm doing a lot of Am6 arpeggios (or, if it's easier to visualize super imposing F#mb7 arpeggios...they're the same thing). You'll hear guys like Coltrane, any sax player really, do this kind of thing a lot on a modal jam, like Impressions
