    I don’t speak a word of Spanish but I’ve always loved mariachi music. Like all forms of music it is a piece of the human soul and it must continue on. With Mateo, I believe it’s in good hands. ❤️ 🇲🇽

    Mateo, 👏👏🌟💫, keep it alive & you have a bright future, not just in music but in culture. There are so many opportunities awaiting you. You are a beautiful soul 💓🕺💃🎶
    I meant a little guy in Lafayette Louisiana & he was celebrating his 4th birthday where he chose.... Randalls, a beautiful Cajun restaurant, family owned for decades with live Zydeco music. He joined the band, played the spoons, put the "washboard" around his neck & strummed it...we danced, we laughed, we smiled. He was such a joy. He would now be about 18 -19.

    I don't mean to sound Salty, but maybe in the USA because Child Mariachis are part of the Mexican Culture.
    A Celebrity Child Mariachi was Pedro Fernandez used to be known as Pedrito Fernandez, but side of that... Machiachi and many other profesion's Families in Mexico got that tradition by generations... So this is no discover Fire to the Mexican People... Disney's Coco Miguel express that Mexican reality...

      I was going to say the same, hate to sound negative but I was singing marichi with my dad well before 5 years old and As far as Ive seen in my dads old vhs, I didnt sound this bad haha. Pedrito is definitely the real youngest mariachi singer

    • @LolaDuri
      @LolaDuri Рік тому

      PF began his career at 8yrs of age. I have never seen a 4yr old child mariachi in Mexico. Now, you may be referring to panhandlers singing for coins. If that’s the case, you are right.

    • @juancarlosgroman8628
      @juancarlosgroman8628 Рік тому

      I'd much rather seeing a 4 yr achieving academic accolades or standing out for other than spreading this cultural mistake. This music, not only through its lyrics but by promoting the mistaken idea of what a real man should be and how he should behave fuels machismo, and that is not something we want to pass on the following generations. Don't come to me with "it is part of the culture so you need to embrace it and accept it". Go tell that to the THOUSANDS of little girls in India whose genitalia has been mutilated bc "their culture". MEXICAN REGIONAL MUSIC HAS SEVERAL VERY REAL AND VERY DANGEROUS BYPRODUCTS. SAD BUT TRUE. bissous grosses

      @antonioar21 Рік тому +1

      @@LolaDuri Im speaking from experience having lived in various parts of mexico, not from a trip to a border town for tacos lol. Not sure what the criteria for the record was, but if they mean just anyone singing mariachi and not being famous, hes not the youngest, if they mean famous? Then yea pedrito, cuz i just found out about this little kid and I am living in Texas.

    • @erickmarquez506
      @erickmarquez506 Рік тому

      @@juancarlosgroman8628 that's not True many Mexican song do not talk about machismo, rather talk about many of life circumstances, broken heart, poverty, mother, the land, local heroes and heroines. The amount of "machismo" songs can be counted by the fingers...
      The machismo was the Pedro Infante and we could argue Vicente Fernandez celebrity Image not the Mariachi Image.
      Also I can argue that from my travels I discovered that many non Mexican Women from Eastern Europe and non Mexico Latin America Consider Mexican Men not afraid of their feelings and by far less machismo than their national counterpart... Not my words many Women refer this fact from those Nationalities...

    bringing this atrocity to new generations is not only something we do not need, it is also something WE CAN NOT AFFORD. (pause for reaction!) ...this type of music echoes the "macho" mindset that has hurt the country and that has ultimately and consequently led to gender violence and the UNDENIABLE and really sad situation that women all around Mexico are threatened by: femicide. // for us who are able to understand that is not only the lyrics in mexican regional music that broadcast the message but the archetype of the mexican macho represented and played by the vast majority of mexican regional music performers (who DO communicate this very sad and mistaken vision of "what a real man should be" -and i could go on for hours on this particular matter) it is easy to acknowledge that mrm plays a fundamental role in this very real situation: VIOLENCE
    uneducated ppl in mx (or those who also cling to the mistakes of a lifetime and fail to see the thing clearly) often say it can not be WRONG if it is part of our culture, and tend to glorify and excuse this shameful phenomenon because "it is part of our heritage" ...guess what? genital mutilation is also part of indian culture, THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT
    on the landmark of Mexico's independence it saddens me to say that MEXICO IS NOT FREE! its citizens are NOT FREE (who are in many cases both victims and perpetrators, mostly because we CHOOSE TO REMAIN IGNORANT) ...violence, lack of the most fundamental civil spirit, corruption and IMPUNITY -a country can not be free when its ppl lives in fear
    THERE IS NOTHING TO CELEBRATE
    LET THAT SINK IN
