Weird weather here too - greenhouse was full of condensation after heavily watering yesterday and I started basil in the house. Next weekend we’re digging up soil from the chicken run to top off beds for potato planting as soon as my pre purchased starts arrive. Excitement today was a hawk flying straight into the barn attempting to catch my rooster. My 2 goats raced in to save him, then my dogs and my pets pig wasn’t happy about everyone upsetting her nap. 😅. All safe! My major flock of chickens are locked up like yours with netting over the top and sides so they’re safest. 😊

Hello Jessie, I am so glad to see you today. Sorry for the rain. For the entire month of March we have not been able to reach 10° C. I really want to plant the potatoes soon and the onions soon as well so I think I need to go shovel the snow off of the garden beds to speed up the process before I get behind. Often times I can plant the potatoes on St. Patrick's day but not this year by a long shot. I am so so happy for your video Number 1 5 6 next week WOW!! Courgettes - I remember you said you were thinking of doing the climbing ones this year, alongside your trombochinos up an arch? I wonder how they compare to the normal ones? Can't wait for courgettes! After tomatoes, they're my next thing to get really excited about! Well done you for getting out in The Weather we've been having. Unfortunately we're not forecast to get much better for the next 2 weeks. It's just rain, rain and more rain. And another surprise dip down to 3 degrees at night. Still carting my lovely plants in from the conservatory every night and back out in the morning. Hope your Mum's wrist and hand is much better for having the stitches out. Did you manage to save all your tree cabbages? - I remember the frost killed off the tops of some of yours but you thought they might sprout new shoots from the bottoms - did they all come back? I lost two that were more out in the open, but a sheltered one has survived and is looking lovely. The weather talk is totally justified too!! - what a week. Really up and down. Finally seems like we have a prolonged mild spell now... fingers crossed. Lovely video as always.
i think you may have been talking about woven and non-woven landscape fabric? woven landscape fabric isnt meant to be cut, and if you do cut it, you have to burn it so that the plastic sort of melts back together and doesnt fray, ive seen a lot of people on youtube use flame weeders to cut holes in it. non-woven landscape fabric is the felt stuff you were talking about thats meant to be cut without fraying and falling apart.

It was 18 degrees Celsius a couple of days ago and this morning it's very cold, I can see the snow on the top of the mountain from my window 😳🥶 And, 6 ads in this video! Please jessie, I have a very limited internet and the signal is very weak here where I live in the mountains, once an ads interrupt the video the signal disappears and I have to start all over again 😩..disheartening to say the least..I can't finish watching this video 😿

My haul is splurged on has meant I’ve caught up with my seed sowings as I have plenty of space now to grow them. Anyone every grown Cleome from seeds? I am struggling to get any to germinate.
Peat free compost in our area seems to be much more expensive than peat compost. I only use peat free so it is causing me problems and some of the cheaper peat free is dreadful. Excited to find out how good this one is as I want quality if I am paying a premium for it 😎
Another great video,we have also just planted our sweet corn,thinking of planting carrots in large pots we seem to have more success in pots,I think everyone is just waiting for the weather to pick up.just one question what music do you play it’s very relaxing.lets hope for a great growing year,good luck to all.

My haul is splurged on has meant I’ve caught up with my seed sowings as I have plenty of space now to grow them. Anyone every grown Cleome from seeds? I am struggling to get any to germinate.

Peat free compost in our area seems to be much more expensive than peat compost. I only use peat free so it is causing me problems and some of the cheaper peat free is dreadful. Excited to find out how good this one is as I want quality if I am paying a premium for it 😎

Jess, have you thought about weighing the crops you produce and building on it each year with a view to selling in the mid-term ?
In the UK you are not allowed to raise crops to sell from an allotment, you can give away. Not absolutely sure why, must be a bylaw.

I believe she was adopted by someone near the allotment, but visits the allotment often. I worry about her too, but Jess and her mum look after her too❤
Yes she has a real mom but everyone on the allotment knows and love Lily and she is well looked after by a vet etc 👍👍
When you get a a hundred and fifty six days you must watch them from episode one 👍
