This is a classic jig and I incorporate a lot of the variations which are found on the session website. thesession.org....
Instruments: Acoustic fiddle, tenor banjo, acoustic guitar, synth bass, synth pad, electronic snare.
I can play with you just putting the phone up, with my electrical violin. Great. Thanks.

the trick is: don‘t. give the song your own mark by inventing your own grace notes

As an amateur multi instrumentalist ( Guitar, Tenor Banjo and Tin Whistle) I find this inspiring and one day hope to reach this kind of level, much respect.
Don't worry Paul, you will get there definitely. The biggest problem is the technology behind the recording, takes an age to sort out.

I can't think of anything at the moment. Although, a good idea would be to search on the Session website for the tune title. Then usually there pops up two or three other tunes that people have suggested work well with the melody.

Thank you very much for uploading this. I have a book of Irish songs arranged for the piano accordion and this extended version really helps me study the music and get it ingrained, repeat after repeat without having to play the video again every minute or so.

Great intonation! My problem is the bow hold. Its tilted way to much and its tilted to the wrong direction. You'd also sound a lot better if you held your instrument up a little higher that means to keep your elbow a bit higher
