You did great and I plan on trying this style once I finish rocking my straight hair. And it's not a childish hairstyle at all. Why is it considered childish when we do it with ALL our natural hair w/o extensions, but with extensions it's not???🤷♀️ That sounds like some haters that need to have a seat.

Beautiful as always my sista. Instead of twisting down when you get to the 2 strand twist part, keep twisting back in the same direction of the part. This will help to keep it tight at the back part of the flat twist. ❤️

“Boo to the naysayers” is right! This style is 🔥 🔥 some of our styles are versatile (children to adults) but there are some definite “child-like” and “adult” hairstyles, respectively. Also, if you had 🎀 or knockers (ball-balls /baubles or whatever u grew up calling them, or barrettes) that would age this style down significantly! I’m gonna try this style soon!! Thanks! Also, I LOVE the Camille Rose Naturals Twisting Butter! The best thing to happen to my hair (minus cleansing) in a LONG time! 👌🏽

Too avoid the looseness at the roots when you go into a two-strand twist you flip your twist over so that you are twisting the hair in the direction that you want it to lay.

This style is fire🔥. You inspired me to do something similar with my hair (I have a tapered cut with the sides low). I twisted it to fall into my face, flat twisted in some areas to get it to fall where I wanted it, and I added some pretty hair jewelry. It turned out awesome and I will be doing it again! Definitely about to try this today! And twisting to the scalp and then going into a regular twist is definitely hard. The only thing I can think of that’s helped me stopped getting those big areas in the twist is to grab teeny tiny sections of hair ☹️

I agree. When I did my mini twist, I wore my hair in a similar style. I received a lot of compliments. You don't have to add extensions or wear your hair under a beanie or scarf. I love the versatility and ease of maintenance. You don't have to worry about what your will look like in the morning and throughout the day. Win- win!
