The biggest USP of these lanterns is that they are still completely manufactured in Germany. I have a few old stock Bundeswehr Feuerhand lanterns. Just an observation on your video, the flame was high on your burn. The wick is to be cut as level as possible prior to lighting, once lit reduce the height of the wick to where it is just barely alight. As the lantern warms up, it draws more oxygen thus increasing the height of the flame and quality of the burn. A proper flame should be in the shape of a horse shoe with the absolute bare minimum of wick, not a 50mm high flame.
Here in Ireland the country seems to be two weeks from everywhere just like the backward shop in the movie " Oh Brother where Art Thou ". All the hardware shops here only have the rubbish Chinese copy's. You ask for this one " oh we can have it for you in two weeks " then they wonder why people use Amazon and not the bricks & mortar shops. 🙄
That light has such an 1800s beautiful nautical or railroads vibe to them! More relaxing and comforting than harsh LED lights!
