      You’re very welcome Chris, glad it was useful and thanks for watching 👀 👍
      We’ve recently done a follow up to it, mainly about the tyres, maybe worth a watch if you were thinking of the upgrade?

    Can I ask, I have the same old wheels as you, did you transfer your tpms over, if not do you have the light on the dash. Cheers

      @@alanwelford9815 Hi Alan, yes, the tyre fitters transferred my old TPMS valves over and put new, “normal” valves into my old wheels (which I then sold for over £800 on EBay 💰👌) put pressures into new tyres to match TPMS and it’s all good. I did, a few months later get a TPMS fault but valve replaced by a dealer under warranty. I think the valves may be sensitive and perhaps suffer if a bit clumsy when fitting but all worked out in the end. 🚐 🛞 👌

      @Eurosully thanks for that, just need to decide which wheels now lol. Have you ever stayed at the steam packet inn at the Isle of whithorn, Dumfries and Galloway. Lovely local beers, free to stay and best breakfast buttie we've had in a long time. Love the videos, cheers

      @ there are some really smart ones to chose from, let me know which ones you go for (I went for ones with less “detail” to clean 😂 and a good weight capacity for if/when I up plate)
      Funny, was at Steam Packet Inn at the weekend, tune in next week! 😃😃😃😃

    Have you upgraded the spare wheel if you haven't and you need it the van will look like a three legged dog 😉

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  14 днів тому

      @@howardtennant5766 hi Howard, no I haven’t 😥 the original spare is an inch is 22.5mm smaller so will run a “little off kilter” 😜 and will probably throw a few warning lights on the dash which should reset, but would only use if I couldn’t do a temp plug or use tyre weld at the roadside or if I had sidewall damage. The 2024 version of this van comes with tyre weld and not a spare. I may get a new spare but need to check it will fit (45 mm diameter more) in the same place. I may also just carry a spare tyre, very easy to find a tyre fitter in a town or mobile. So I’m still undecided but thanks for giving me tyre anxiety 🛞 🤣🤣
      Cheers for watching 👀 Howard

    Did you have to inform your insurance as an upgrade?

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  5 місяців тому +1

      @@nigelbrown1949 not sure it’s necessary 🤔 changed alloy wheels (already declared in the schedule) for other alloy wheels and put safer, stronger tyres on. Often change from one brand of tyre to another on my vehicles so don’t see an issue there. I guess the only difference is the 1” increase in wheel size. Can’t ever see an insurance company having an issue with stronger wheels and tyres. 🛞

    Did you change spare size? I don’t think you can have different size wheels on same axel so may be worth considering.

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  Рік тому

      No, have got a repair kit etc, but kept original spare too. It’s not ideal to have different sizes on axel but in an emergency would be ok and very careful. Others in same situation who’ve used a different size have had a few warning lights on dash light up which clear when returned to same size. I am also, eventually going to have a good look at the spare cradle, it may well hold my new size, even if I have to deflate it a little.

    Hmm. In the same way that the gearing changed for your speedo (about 6.5%), the braking performance is decreased by the same amount. I believe the continental vans have bigger disc brakes behind those 16" wheels.
    Brake performance isn't brilliant in the first place.

    • @Eurosully
      @Eurosully  5 місяців тому

      @@andytaylor8820 the brake performance is fine, never have I ever given the brakes a second thought. 12000 miles since the change now, I’d do it again in a heartbeat 👍

    Clearly look double 'ard' and nothing like big black wheel-trims 🤏
