This is a lot better method than some of the other sketchy methods to revive dead cells. Interesting procedures. I will have to try this on some of my dead cells.

Thanks for watching. I prefer using this method because it's safer and I didn't do any mods on the cell's housing. If the cells are corroded or the built-in fuse is tripped - I suggest not to use it. Our safety is topmost priority ☝️

After you got the voltage of the cell reach 3v, where in the charger can detect. Why not just reset your imax from nicd to lipo charge then select to amp rate to your desire A then select 1s.
And after fully charge check voltage with multitester and see if really 4.2v of charge.

Yup we can also use imax but i prefer using my 4 cell charger so I can get rid of the temporary alligator clips that I used on Imax. It's more convenient and safe. Thanks for watching the video

*Does the LiPro check the capacity as well as testing it automatically? For example, the Liitokala Lii-500 or Lii-600 will automatically charge, discharge, then charge again to test capacity. Does the LiPro do the same?*

Why would that balanced charger (set to NiMH) charge the cell up to 3.6V? My NiMH cells are all 1.2 volts nominal. Aren’t yours ? So putting the 18650 cell in there would only charge to approximately 1.50 Volts.
Also, you need to bring these extremely low 18650 cells up to 3.0 Volts as slowly as possible… perhaps 100mA, not 1.5 Amps!
Use a TP4056 board to revive cells below 2.50 Volts. You can set the current with just one resistor modification. And the TP4056 automatically drops the charging current down to 100mA if the cell voltage is below 2.95 Volts.

The initial test I showed that the lithium charger could not detect 18650 cells because it doesn't meet the nominal voltage.
I used the balance charger and set the charging to NiMH just to put enough voltage in order for the lithium charger to detect the 18650 cell. That's the reason why I use the nimh setting.
      Thanks for watching the video.

@@teamfive1125 You made a mistake in your video claiming it got to 3.6v while in the Nihm setting of 1.5v please accept your mistake.

    pano kung nasa battery pack?
pwede ba gawin to kahit parallel na 4p?

    • @teamfive1125
      @teamfive1125  Рік тому +1

What if you just use a dumb charger?

You will need a lithium battery charger. I have one that can only charge 1 18650 cell but it only works when the battery voltage is 3 volts. If it's less than the nominal voltage the lithium charger will not detect the battery - it will not charge.
The method I showed basically pre charging the cells to meet the nominal voltage so that the lithium charger can detect the battery and start changing it. If the battery can no longer reach or hold at least the nominal voltage - it's already broken.
