Thank you for the mention!! I personally started my channel very similarly to Functional Function’s reasons. I did it for fun, to see what would happen, and during 2020 boredom. It makes me feel really, really happy to think that I helped make a year or two feel like the golden era of Kingdom Rush! For a long time, I was very motivated to pump out videos quickly, especially solo tower challenges. After beating nearly every possible challenge, I started naturally running out of ideas, and I had my 3rd child along the way, so life has become a lot busier and far more difficult than I could have imagined. I’ll be doing what I can to get back to my roots, as Polyx has encouraged me to do. But navigating the stress of my circumstances right now is something else. Additionally, I’ve struggled with depression for a long time, and though I’ve conquered a ton of it over the years, it is still alive. I have a hard time making videos when almost no one watches anymore. I thrived responding to demand. For a while now, I can edit far better and engage in even more insane challenges, yet I’ll get fewer views than ever, so the demand and interest from the audience just isn’t there. I first saw this in 2021-2022. Beating KRF with just DWAARP and Templars was so difficult, and I edited them as much as I could, yet the UA-cam algorithm props up old videos where I put no effort into editing. It’s hard to navigate these issues, but the ones in my personal life are the most difficult. Even so, I still play, and considering ideas and videos, and would be blown away with a KR5 or even a KR Sandbox!! Please, Ironhide, give the fans what we want. Pump out amazing games again.
Dear sir, if you build your channel around a specific game, your channel rises and dies with the game, i think for your channel to prosper and outlive Kingdom Rush in this dark age, you should make the channel more about yourself not about the game you play, so people will watch even if you play Fortnite (that hurts to say) Also i think you should go hit the gym if you don't already, it will absloutley help, when i was depressed, it was one of the things that made me flip my life around.

Its popularity was also a product of its availability, it was essentially a free webgame. Other games like Tanki online online also became popular because of this reason. The kid can just log-in on any computer, and they can play without downloading anything (which was a large setback if you didn't own a PC, which in our childhood was quite common), and then combine this with fun, its great success.
Ahh yes Kingdom rush, the game that I always play during computer class in my elementary days. The smaller me wanted to make videos about kingdom rush yet, I still don't know how to edit videos at that time. But now, I did. I started my youtube channel during the pandemic as I really had nothing to do in my home. I started learning how to edit videos and I knew exactly what was the first game I wanted to make a video about. Kingdom rush. (tho my first video was pvz heroes lmao) The ORIGINAL tier list that I made was my general knowledge of kingdom rush at that time. Looking back at some tower/hero placements that I originally placed were honestly just wrong and I admit that. I honestly just made those tier list to share my opinion of kingdom rush and I really did not know that it would blew up just like that. Definitley Voduke and Mmlh helped me realize the true potentials of some towers and heroes. I wanted to make a revised tier list but I'm really not into it anymore. I don't reallly care about the views even tho based on the algorithm it might get a ton. I'm just doing youtube for fun and to practice my editing skills. (Also funny how some videos I put more effort into get less views but when I post a low quality video, it gets a lot.) I'm now getting into other things like drawing but I will NOT give up on kingdom rush and like what you said, if a new update came (hopefully not for vengeance lol) or a new game comes out I will be here to cover it too. FOR THE KINGDOM!!!
It was 4 years between Origins and Vengeance so I'm hoping we get a new Kingdom Rush game soon. My second wish would be a new mini campaign for Frontiers
Where, when, and how the new kr game will take place is a problem. Kingdom rush series already have a game for the past (Origin), the present (Kingdom Rush), the future (Vengeance) and even side story (Frontier).
@@vindicatorog the new kr game if it ever comes out will probably be set after kr legends, where in the ending veznan came back to origins land with his army to fight the Overseer (eye thing you can see at the vengence ending)

Agreed. Even though KR isn't the first thing that comes to mind every morning when we wake up, it still remains a prominent hobby and a great video game series that won't be forgotten. Definetly excited to see what they have coming out next.
Honestly, these games weren't built to last. They were built, like many other games, to be a one-off, high quality experiences that create memories that stick around. The amount of replayability the community HAS managed to squeeze out of the series is insane, and something we should all be grateful for. Not that a game being "non-replayable" is inherently a bad thing, some of my other favorite games of all time (the PvZ and Portal games, The Henry Stickmin Collection, Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley) are the same way. When the next generation is old enough to play games, those of us who enjoyed these games will pass them down to our children. More replayable games, like CS:GO, Terraria, BTD6, DST and even Minecraft, however, will eventually fade away. HOWEVER some of the games mentioned above are able to get the best of both worlds, by putting the game in the hands of the community, whether intentionally or not. Whether it be the impressive modding scene of PvZ2, or the community test chambers of Portal 2. More replayable games can do this too of course, and it's been proven to work time and time again. KR can take advantage of this either through a 1v1 mode, level maker, or simply just better modding support.
Kingdom Rush is quite an underrated franchise I wish more people knew about. Right now Ironhide is scrambled with working on other games like Iron Marines. Hopefully everything gets together and the Kingdom Rush 5 we want. Until then I recommend everyone to buy the games, they deserve alot of respect and it's a good way to support Ironhide. Of course this isn't compulsion but you know what I mean.
1:23-1:56 I'm surprised at how you have the exact same take & mind as me on something so specific. In general It's not all that shocking or unexpected for Kingdom Rush to fade out in the shadows. It's not really supposed to be thriving and be a big thing in this day and age. It's not a gacha mobile game, it's not a battle royale, it's not the next big indie pixel roguelike and most importantly it's a tower defense game that isn't Bloons. A Tower Defense game (that again isn't Bloons) that blatantly puts Gameplay first above everything else is fundamentally going to lack mass appeal, and that's ok. The Kingdom Rush series is never going to get the mass praise and acknowledgements it deserves for what I think are some of the best strategy games in the whole medium, and I accepted that a long time ago. If anything, the Kingdom rush content in my channel is some of my favorite and proudest stuff I produced, both for showcasing my passion for as well as giving the spotlight to a series that has consistently stood in Bloons and PvZ's shadows. In all cases I'm sticking around for the mods including currently juggling ImpossiBBBle mode with a couple other games. But also because this community is genuinely one of the best and most loyal for any video games I played honestly.
I think that your one of the biggest creators that still uploads kingdom rush videos. Most if not all your kingdom rush videos do great! I think that if you would start uploading more, it could bring back a lot of the community because you'll show up on their recommendations more.
I 100% agree. Games like kingdom rush which takes some patience to play do not get that popular, and I understood that a long time ago too. But nothing beats the fact that it is one of the most beautifully made tower defence game of all time and will forever be one of my favorite games I ever played.
modding is still in it's infancy and it would take a lot of time till we see truly high quality mods that bring original content. It is sad to see the interest in kingdom rush being low (unless you waited for it to come on Xbox lmao) but it's very much comforting to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we simply need to be patient.
I remember I first played kingdom rush when o Found it on flash I showed it to my friends and we all liked it then some time passed and it was forgotten (in our kinds) but a couple od years later I remembered it and searched for it and found that's it's free on phones so I played it there and then more years passed I played a few more times up until 2020 where I started to watch it on UA-cam i remember it reviving that interest for kingdom rush and ever since I had it on my radar and I saw the decline in everyone's views which was discouraging but then I saw something that I wanted from where I was little MODS and I was upset that battlemecha didn't share the mods I did find a person who will after some struggle and then I also found some files that people didn't know about and asked polyx is he wanted them he said sure and I got in contact with him we brainstormed for 3 days in December how to mod and we figured it out and ever since then I was modding got a bit slow with origins towers but then KM5 helped and reck before that and yea I feel like if we make some actual new stuff for kingdom rush it definitely could get more attention again like that custom tower video
Concerning the mod, I do think there might also the issue of 'choice overload', where people are so overwhelmed by the mod they don't know which towers to pick anymore, so that could contribute to it maybe not being as popular as expected. Great video, and hopefully I'll have a bit of time soon to actually work some more on KRRV and maybe make some videos.
It's kinda Ironic how KR garnered so much attention while not much was happening, and when something huge like mods come out, almost the entire community community is out of touch. You're basically the only youtuber who still focuses on KR content, so if you stopped uploading, the series would be completely dead on most platforms like youtube. At least in discord it isn't dead but thats still all you. Anyways, no pressure, it's not like the entire KR saga is depending on you're nest move.💀💀
I fully agree with your points, and I think ultimately you should do whatever brings you the most fulfillment (even if that means I'll never get the tower tier list video I so crave). I think an explanation as to the "dark age" you mention is mainly because vengeance had some new ideas that weren't as well received as the previous entries. Then the next two games were spinoffs (invasion and legends). Since the core audience was formed around the first 3 td games the forays into new gameplay styles just hasn't really worked out. There just hasn't been that experience similar to KR and frontiers that people are looking for in quite some time. If we get a new great installment I'm sure we'll see more growth, and that might spur on more mod development woo! but at the same time I feel KRs peak may have just passed. It happens with every franchise sooner or later. There will always a passionate crowd of superfans but even the best games can't hold an audience forever- we seek novel experiences.
I agree completely. Legends was the only game that I think could have revived Kingdom Rush. It sort of did, but the exclusivity unfortunately killed it, and the lack of updates buried it 10 feet under the ground. Kingdom Rush 5 is the best option for IH to "reset" its reputation. Only then should they consider focusing on spinoffs. I think LKR2 should be their second priority.
Honestly the only thing that could keep me in is Endless in KR Vengence, the game is built for endless with all the tower combinations but they refuse to do it idk why. Usually it's the last update to a KR game but they keep adding up to KRV it's stupid just add the damn endless for actual vanilla replayability. I do not not care about mods it's too niche.
i played kingdom rush as a kid on armorgames or 10 x 10 games or whatever, along such games as "colony", "warlords" and "age of war"... at some point i forgot about it and then i rememberes, played a bit on my cellphone and forgot about it again. i was so hyped when KRV came out because it showed me that there is also a second game i didnt play to this point in time! i was so hyped for the kingdwom rush in the desert, you know, the kingdom rush not available for big parts of the world and the KR that sucks anyways. the mad max fury road kingdom rush. when that one was teased i used to watch every video about KR and played it all day, even on vaccation with my then girlfriend xd (she didnt break up because of that tho dont worry) it was also at that point in time i made the plan to make my own tower defense game so day when i have enough money after the breakup i forgot about kingdom rush as i got into gym and have to manage my own household now. between 6 days gym, 5 days work and 7 days household theres only so much time i can spend on other stuff, and most of this time goes to friends, league of legends, gym videos, buying furniture, watching self improvement videos. theres simply no time for another thing in my life. apart from elden ring :D when the DLC comes out ill vanish from this planet to play that. anyways, long story short: *if they release a new kingdom rush i will be here.*
Yes, I will never forget about this games too! But sometimes I'm getting bored and I'm don't playing KR for a week or something. I would like to see game similar to first three Kingdom Rush games. Hopefully they will add some sort of an editor for players to create, or something like community updates on steam. Devs left KR too early for legends and junkyard imo
legends is a part of kingdom rush and i even glad that they made the legend it's a great even in the concept the group of geralt is only a few people so making a whole tower def game is kinda wierd and legend is really good to be honest and junkyard is meh

Even now I play and Kingdom Rush go through every part of the game and post it on my channel. The game is awesome I recommend it to everyone. I always want to go in and play it. I'm looking forward to the sequel, if there is one. If you have time, please rate my content.
I feel that with the mods most UA-camrs just stream instead of doing challenge videos which in my opinion is less big since streams are just not as big as videos
the fact that i quit this fandom is very personal i'm not a fan of powercreep but the heroes or even tower makes this a pain to look at the fact that this heroes is too good that it's make other characters looks like shit is really meh to that's why i always talk about balance why would you play anything like veruk when isekalt is better at everything ? instead of this you love that orc man why is the flying unit need to be too strong hell why do you need tower in a tower def games when a heroes can do it by itself i get it the mobile player need a strong heroes that worth thier money but how about playing it on pc ? it feels not right that this heroes is overshadow by that heroes but at least we had mods and so on i love kingdom rush as i was 7 and even to today i still wanna know what will the future of this game and again this is only my personal opinions

I am a huge fan of the series. I have played through it multiple times on my phone. I have just today downloaded their new game, I got very excited about Junkworld. However, after only level three I have put my phone down and doubt I will be playing much of it. Will you be giving your opinion on the game?

I might start trying some levels with those mods, perhaps even recording it the biggest issue for me was the pc issue, my potato cant record in a good quality without drying space in the hd or fps from the game. anyway, never was about views but I just cant throw 300 videos, that would spam the subscribers and its just evil... anyway why am I writing this? I dont know I just saw other youtubers like shyguy, morgan and functional function writing separate paragraphs and I liked this idea since I am as much as popular and important as them. just kidding. Compare kingdom rush to how other tower defense genres do content wise like btd6. Btd 6 has a lot of draw on UA-cam and it’s because it’s simply a more evolved game than kingdom rush. In game events, so many map, endless mode on each map, just generally more to do. Kingdom rush has the campaign, the challenge modes, and an endless map or two. Armor hide needs to think bigger for kingdom rush. I don’t want them to copy Bloons because I think they have a perfectly unique formula but I think there are ways to incorporate some of the things that gives the Bloons series it’s longevity and content entertainment value.
I will say that the addition of the mod are great BUT sometimes... It's inconvenient. As far as i can tell, rarely casual player (including me) will ever trying a mod because.. We just lazy, sometimes we just want a simple game without too much to think about (not even mentioning that the mods only work in steam version, which narrow it down more) Also this is kinda the game where you just do it once and done for it. The replaybility isn't much with the genre too, well i guess BTD 6 outdid it but it has different way to monetize the game compare to KR Tbh i think Ironhide need to start going wild with their IP, and honestly seeing LOKR is a step in the right direction Attracting a different fans while giving a fresh experience for those who stick with ironhide for a long time, is nice Or maybe if Ironhide kinda stuck with KR ip.. Create a new or even reusing their other ip can be refreshing too Now im wondering what could happen if Iron Marines is TD.. I kinda want to see it plays like Guns'n'Glory (damn it, just searching up in play store and its gone.. Rip)
The original 3 are all moddable. But right now, the history has been a decent balance buff to KRF and nothing special for KRO just yet, meanwhile KR1 is getting all the attention.
My friends and family saying “will you be playing this little game forever?”and I all ways say this” if longest Ironhide doing update for KR or make a different game or if can get a computer and get KR and get mods or more better mods I will play this game forever”short answer “if longest if there’s new content I will play forever”
Love your videos, and the early games - I did come back and play vengeance but it was so bad compared to the other games, and with even more micro transactions on mobile, that I feel Ironhide has jumped the shark. Either the early games were a fluke (unlikely) or they just stopped caring about making good games, either way I can't see them coming out with good content in future.
Yeah you don't really need to make your whole channel about Kingdom Rush, here is the problem with making your whole channel around a specific game, the viewers will come for the game and not for you, and so when the game dies, your channel pretty much dies with it. Haha you're good, I never intended for my channel to be solely about Kingdom Rush to begin with (my first "real" upload was Iron Marines, and even before that, my first upload ever was Dragon's Dogma). I just happen to have stuck with that so far because it's still fun to me, and making videos about other games requires more knowledge than I have about editing and software.

What if they made a big game where they combine all 4 games and make each game into a Chapter with its own mechanics and Better balance and call it Kingdom Rush Series or Something similar
Hey VODUKE! None of your words I DISAGREE! The community is getting smaller because to me first, the last game Vengeance is not as successful as the first three games in the series! More towers, yeah right but more does not mean its better! Many of the towers are useless and many of the heroes are weak and useless except the DRAGONS! The voices of the characters are uninteresting, stage designs are mostly mediocre and sometimes its fun to play as the enemy but they did not made it interesting! Only the updates made the players keep playing because there are three new stages meaning you will play it 9 times, three times each stage to finish the challenges! It felt like an android game instead of being a PC game. I just wished they changed a few more things on the PC version to make it feel like a a PC version! Then next, we had The Legends Of Kingdom Rush. I am not disagreeing that IronHide created a TURN BASED Role Playing Game for the Kingdom Rush Series. It was so interesting at first but because of some bugs and bad design decisions including the story it got average to good reviews to journalists and players! It was a 6 out of 10 to me! In the first three Kingdom Rush, the Origins was the one with the most BAD TOWERS SPECIALLY THE ARTILLIARY the menhir circle which was suppose to be the Dwarven Bombard, then level four barracks will not fire arrows except if you choose Forest Keepers but there is only two of them! THE MODIFICATION COMMUNITY IS THE ONE UNTIL NOW KEEPING THE KINGDOM RUSH COMMUNITY ALIVE, thanks to them! I can see that Junk World, the new game IronHide made trying to replace Kingdom Rush with a new Tower Defense Game in their resume of games looks like is set to fail! Iron Hide should bring back their attention to a new Kingdom Rush Turn Based RPG because it was not a bad game for a programmer who is not specialized in RPGs and a new Kingdom Rush Tower Defense game! They should go back to Kingdom Rush and Frontiers, review the first two games and make a plan for a new Tower Defense Game so they would understand what made the first two games great!

It was 4 years between Origins and Vengeance so I'm hoping we get a new Kingdom Rush game soon. My second wish would be a new mini campaign for Frontiers
Where, when, and how the new kr game will take place is a problem. Kingdom rush series already have a game for the past (Origin), the present (Kingdom Rush), the future (Vengeance) and even side story (Frontier).

Agreed. Even though KR isn't the first thing that comes to mind every morning when we wake up, it still remains a prominent hobby and a great video game series that won't be forgotten. Definetly excited to see what they have coming out next.
Honestly, these games weren't built to last. They were built, like many other games, to be a one-off, high quality experiences that create memories that stick around. The amount of replayability the community HAS managed to squeeze out of the series is insane, and something we should all be grateful for. Not that a game being "non-replayable" is inherently a bad thing, some of my other favorite games of all time (the PvZ and Portal games, The Henry Stickmin Collection, Hollow Knight, and Stardew Valley) are the same way. When the next generation is old enough to play games, those of us who enjoyed these games will pass them down to our children. More replayable games, like CS:GO, Terraria, BTD6, DST and even Minecraft, however, will eventually fade away.
HOWEVER some of the games mentioned above are able to get the best of both worlds, by putting the game in the hands of the community, whether intentionally or not. Whether it be the impressive modding scene of PvZ2, or the community test chambers of Portal 2. More replayable games can do this too of course, and it's been proven to work time and time again. KR can take advantage of this either through a 1v1 mode, level maker, or simply just better modding support.
Kingdom Rush is quite an underrated franchise I wish more people knew about. Right now Ironhide is scrambled with working on other games like Iron Marines. Hopefully everything gets together and the Kingdom Rush 5 we want. Until then I recommend everyone to buy the games, they deserve alot of respect and it's a good way to support Ironhide. Of course this isn't compulsion but you know what I mean.

In general It's not all that shocking or unexpected for Kingdom Rush to fade out in the shadows. It's not really supposed to be thriving and be a big thing in this day and age. It's not a gacha mobile game, it's not a battle royale, it's not the next big indie pixel roguelike and most importantly it's a tower defense game that isn't Bloons. A Tower Defense game (that again isn't Bloons) that blatantly puts Gameplay first above everything else is fundamentally going to lack mass appeal, and that's ok. The Kingdom Rush series is never going to get the mass praise and acknowledgements it deserves for what I think are some of the best strategy games in the whole medium, and I accepted that a long time ago. If anything, the Kingdom rush content in my channel is some of my favorite and proudest stuff I produced, both for showcasing my passion for as well as giving the spotlight to a series that has consistently stood in Bloons and PvZ's shadows.
In all cases I'm sticking around for the mods including currently juggling ImpossiBBBle mode with a couple other games. But also because this community is genuinely one of the best and most loyal for any video games I played honestly.

I think that your one of the biggest creators that still uploads kingdom rush videos. Most if not all your kingdom rush videos do great! I think that if you would start uploading more, it could bring back a lot of the community because you'll show up on their recommendations more.
I 100% agree. Games like kingdom rush which takes some patience to play do not get that popular, and I understood that a long time ago too. But nothing beats the fact that it is one of the most beautifully made tower defence game of all time and will forever be one of my favorite games I ever played.
modding is still in it's infancy and it would take a lot of time till we see truly high quality mods that bring original content.
It is sad to see the interest in kingdom rush being low (unless you waited for it to come on Xbox lmao) but it's very much comforting to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we simply need to be patient.
I remember I first played kingdom rush when o Found it on flash I showed it to my friends and we all liked it then some time passed and it was forgotten (in our kinds) but a couple od years later I remembered it and searched for it and found that's it's free on phones so I played it there and then more years passed I played a few more times up until 2020 where I started to watch it on UA-cam i remember it reviving that interest for kingdom rush and ever since I had it on my radar and I saw the decline in everyone's views which was discouraging but then I saw something that I wanted from where I was little MODS and I was upset that battlemecha didn't share the mods I did find a person who will after some struggle and then I also found some files that people didn't know about and asked polyx is he wanted them he said sure and I got in contact with him we brainstormed for 3 days in December how to mod and we figured it out and ever since then I was modding got a bit slow with origins towers but then KM5 helped and reck before that and yea I feel like if we make some actual new stuff for kingdom rush it definitely could get more attention again like that custom tower video

Concerning the mod, I do think there might also the issue of 'choice overload', where people are so overwhelmed by the mod they don't know which towers to pick anymore, so that could contribute to it maybe not being as popular as expected.

It's kinda Ironic how KR garnered so much attention while not much was happening, and when something huge like mods come out, almost the entire community community is out of touch. You're basically the only youtuber who still focuses on KR content, so if you stopped uploading, the series would be completely dead on most platforms like youtube. At least in discord it isn't dead but thats still all you. Anyways, no pressure, it's not like the entire KR saga is depending on you're nest move.💀💀
I fully agree with your points, and I think ultimately you should do whatever brings you the most fulfillment (even if that means I'll never get the tower tier list video I so crave).
I think an explanation as to the "dark age" you mention is mainly because vengeance had some new ideas that weren't as well received as the previous entries. Then the next two games were spinoffs (invasion and legends). Since the core audience was formed around the first 3 td games the forays into new gameplay styles just hasn't really worked out. There just hasn't been that experience similar to KR and frontiers that people are looking for in quite some time.
If we get a new great installment I'm sure we'll see more growth, and that might spur on more mod development woo! but at the same time I feel KRs peak may have just passed. It happens with every franchise sooner or later.

I agree completely. Legends was the only game that I think could have revived Kingdom Rush. It sort of did, but the exclusivity unfortunately killed it, and the lack of updates buried it 10 feet under the ground. Kingdom Rush 5 is the best option for IH to "reset" its reputation. Only then should they consider focusing on spinoffs. I think LKR2 should be their second priority.
Honestly the only thing that could keep me in is Endless in KR Vengence, the game is built for endless with all the tower combinations but they refuse to do it idk why. Usually it's the last update to a KR game but they keep adding up to KRV it's stupid just add the damn endless for actual vanilla replayability. I do not not care about mods it's too niche.
i played kingdom rush as a kid on armorgames or 10 x 10 games or whatever, along such games as "colony", "warlords" and "age of war"... at some point i forgot about it and then i rememberes, played a bit on my cellphone and forgot about it again. i was so hyped when KRV came out because it showed me that there is also a second game i didnt play to this point in time!
i was so hyped for the kingdwom rush in the desert, you know, the kingdom rush not available for big parts of the world and the KR that sucks anyways. the mad max fury road kingdom rush.
when that one was teased i used to watch every video about KR and played it all day, even on vaccation with my then girlfriend xd (she didnt break up because of that tho dont worry)
it was also at that point in time i made the plan to make my own tower defense game so day when i have enough money
after the breakup i forgot about kingdom rush as i got into gym and have to manage my own household now. between 6 days gym, 5 days work and 7 days household theres only so much time i can spend on other stuff, and most of this time goes to friends, league of legends, gym videos, buying furniture, watching self improvement videos. theres simply no time for another thing in my life. apart from elden ring :D when the DLC comes out ill vanish from this planet to play that. anyways, long story short:

New Kingdom Rush content? I'd definitely be down for that. There really haven't been any KR tower defense games since vengeance.
Hopefully they will add some sort of an editor for players to create, or something like community updates on steam. Devs left KR too early for legends and junkyard imo

@@Voduke789 I don't know if you know this, but in the Total war community they recently created a map editor out of scratch for every game past shogun 2. Could something similar be done in kingdom rush?
Maybe a mini campaign of two or 3 levels on desert and when you complete it, you unlock an endless level against kingdom enemies.
I'd love me a Tower video some time. For me they are much more important than heroes since day 1 (when we actually didn't had heroes lol).
Even now I play and Kingdom Rush go through every part of the game and post it on my channel. The game is awesome I recommend it to everyone. I always want to go in and play it. I'm looking forward to the sequel, if there is one. If you have time, please rate my content.
I feel that with the mods most UA-camrs just stream instead of doing challenge videos which in my opinion is less big since streams are just not as big as videos
THIS is the way forward. Ironhide have lost their way. The game had to be liberated from them. Now if only mods reached a quasi plug and play state...

I’ve been playing kingdom rush for 9 years I remember playing kingdom rush on my dad’s brother’s iPad it has kingdom rush,kingdom rush frontiers and kingdom rush origin I played kingdom rush because I only like the art style and idk is this a Mandela effect I remember playing kingdom origin or false memory so about 4 years later it’s now 2018 and I have own my iPad and played kingdom rush and then stopped playing because to goddamn hard but I did watch kingdom rush UA-camr “I calling him kingdom rush UA-camr because that’s the only content that I watch from him”the channel name is called tokshen and I watch him to 2018 to 2019 in 2018 I freaking break my iPad but don’t worry and got new thing that we stare at 24/7 Hawaii android mini tablet I forgot it’s name but anyways I played kingdom rush and I actually beat the game even the post games and i didn’t beat pandemonium because it was to god damn hard and then in 2020 I got a new tablet so bye bye my shiity android tablet and in 2020 to 2021 I stopped playing kingdom rush and in early 2022 I was watching UA-cam videos and I remember saying in my head” what is that game that played it was tower defense game ohhhh it’s kingdom rush isn’t that game dead”so I searched up kingdom rush on youtube and I saw the best kingdom rush UA-camr the goat his videos are amazing and then scroll down I saw this weird youTubeer with dog pfp called vodka like the beer? But it was actually voduke like V-O for vo and D-U-K-E for duke like the human name and combined it” ok voduke don’t take it too personally its a joke”the first video I saw of him was the ten shi video and I’m like “WHAT THERE IS A NEW KINGDOM RUSH HERO????!!!!”so I go to the apple play store and hunted for kingdom rush and download and I thought ten shi is a pay hero but I realized ten shi is free WHAT?! not only it made motivated me to get ten shi it also motivated me to beat the whole game and come back to the community thanks for voduke for making me comeback to the community and I’m way skilled like I know how physical damage , true damage and magic damage works and I even beat cozynez champion difficulty in the dark tower and beat the the citadel with no towers you should watch the two videos I made about kingdom rush it has a lot of clutch moments and i remember playing the kingdom rush and only kingdom rush because is the only kingdom rush game that is free but in 2023 I’ve been playing kingdom rush and frontiers,origins and vengeance and instead me playing with 4 free heroes I get to play with all heroes including frontier and origins what about vengeance? the biggest issue for me was the pc issue, my potato cant record in a good quality without drying space in the hd or fps from the game. anyway, never was about views but I just cant throw 300 videos, that would spam the subscribers and its just evil...
anyway why am I writing this? I dont know I just saw other youtubers like shyguy, morgan and functional function writing separate paragraphs and I liked this idea since I am as much as popular and important as them.

Compare kingdom rush to how other tower defense genres do content wise like btd6. Btd 6 has a lot of draw on UA-cam and it’s because it’s simply a more evolved game than kingdom rush. In game events, so many map, endless mode on each map, just generally more to do. Kingdom rush has the campaign, the challenge modes, and an endless map or two. Armor hide needs to think bigger for kingdom rush. I don’t want them to copy Bloons because I think they have a perfectly unique formula but I think there are ways to incorporate some of the things that gives the Bloons series it’s longevity and content entertainment value.
I will say that the addition of the mod are great BUT sometimes...
It's inconvenient. As far as i can tell, rarely casual player (including me) will ever trying a mod because.. We just lazy, sometimes we just want a simple game without too much to think about (not even mentioning that the mods only work in steam version, which narrow it down more)
Also this is kinda the game where you just do it once and done for it. The replaybility isn't much with the genre too, well i guess BTD 6 outdid it but it has different way to monetize the game compare to KR
Tbh i think Ironhide need to start going wild with their IP, and honestly seeing LOKR is a step in the right direction

The original 3 are all moddable. But right now, the history has been a decent balance buff to KRF and nothing special for KRO just yet, meanwhile KR1 is getting all the attention.

Love your videos, and the early games - I did come back and play vengeance but it was so bad compared to the other games, and with even more micro transactions on mobile, that I feel Ironhide has jumped the shark.
Either the early games were a fluke (unlikely) or they just stopped caring about making good games, either way I can't see them coming out with good content in future.

Yeah you don't really need to make your whole channel about Kingdom Rush, here is the problem with making your whole channel around a specific game, the viewers will come for the game and not for you, and so when the game dies, your channel pretty much dies with it.

Haha you're good, I never intended for my channel to be solely about Kingdom Rush to begin with (my first "real" upload was Iron Marines, and even before that, my first upload ever was Dragon's Dogma). I just happen to have stuck with that so far because it's still fun to me, and making videos about other games requires more knowledge than I have about editing and software.

Not necessarily. I think it is possible that it can stay alive marginally with enough support, at least until Kingdom Rush 5 comes out.
This game even if its popular, THIS GAME IS STILL NICHE! Any popular Tower Defense Games are not widely popular because the genre is niche.
Hey VODUKE! None of your words I DISAGREE! The community is getting smaller because to me first, the last game Vengeance is not as successful as the first three games in the series! More towers, yeah right but more does not mean its better! Many of the towers are useless and many of the heroes are weak and useless except the DRAGONS! The voices of the characters are uninteresting, stage designs are mostly mediocre and sometimes its fun to play as the enemy but they did not made it interesting! Only the updates made the players keep playing because there are three new stages meaning you will play it 9 times, three times each stage to finish the challenges! It felt like an android game instead of being a PC game. I just wished they changed a few more things on the PC version to make it feel like a a PC version! Then next, we had The Legends Of Kingdom Rush. I am not disagreeing that IronHide created a TURN BASED Role Playing Game for the Kingdom Rush Series. It was so interesting at first but because of some bugs and bad design decisions including the story it got average to good reviews to journalists and players! It was a 6 out of 10 to me! In the first three Kingdom Rush, the Origins was the one with the most BAD TOWERS SPECIALLY THE ARTILLIARY the menhir circle which was suppose to be the Dwarven Bombard, then level four barracks will not fire arrows except if you choose Forest Keepers but there is only two of them! THE MODIFICATION COMMUNITY IS THE ONE UNTIL NOW KEEPING THE KINGDOM RUSH COMMUNITY ALIVE, thanks to them!
I can see that Junk World, the new game IronHide made trying to replace Kingdom Rush with a new Tower Defense Game in their resume of games looks like is set to fail! Iron Hide should bring back their attention to a new Kingdom Rush Turn Based RPG because it was not a bad game for a programmer who is not specialized in RPGs and a new Kingdom Rush Tower Defense game! They should go back to Kingdom Rush and Frontiers, review the first two games and make a plan for a new Tower Defense Game so they would understand what made the first two games great!
