- Guitar cover of Dreamwalkers by ERRA. This song is insanely cool, the riffs are really fun to play. Not my favourite song off of augment, but probably my favourite song to play. Hope you all enjoy!

I'll never understand how ERRA writes these songs. Pure genius.
100% agree man! I'll never understand how these guys figure out how to play these songs as well.
REALLY good muscle memory is how.
You can have the best muscle memory in the world, you still have to come up with all the riffs!
It blows my mind. It's 2019 and I still listen to these old albums daily. No other band has ever hit me like they do.
@@mcmuffin7612 yes honestly i prefer their old stuff imho they were better..
Love this song. I love how crisp your covers are!
Hansol Cheers man :D personally I love this cover. So technical and riffy. I'm in Korea for a few months so I can't make any covers just now, but keen to get playing again when I get home!
Seriously looks like a blast. I haven't been playing guitar but I really wanna learn this song so I'm gonna be watching this video a lot back and fourth and in slow motion haha, this is gonna be a huge challenge.. and woah what you doing in Korea? I was just there this summer!
Hansol the song flows pretty well once you get it down, like a really comfortable song. There are some tricky bits and finger placements though. Just was bored of my city man, I have some Korean friends here and I can speak a little bit of Korean as well. Just having fun and fucking around! Haha
your Erra covers are the best on the whole youtube, mamma mia! (yes I'm italian ahah) kudos
+Marco Ghessa Hahahahaha. :D
Dude that gap between 5 and 10 makes me cry my balls out, hats off to you, hell yeah
Damn idk how I've never seen this one, Dreamwalkers is very underrated on Augment man it has some of the wildest lead work on the album. Fantastic stuff as usual, that lead at 1:11 gets me hype every time
One of my favourite covers from way back!
@@CaseyWalle right on brother m/
hell yes one of my favorite songs ever! great cover!
Perfect *-*
More ERRA covers!
Wow man! This is a ridiculously good cover!! Just saw them with ABR and BOO last night in Chicago. Erra needs more attention! These guys are great!
Great playing bro!
With skills like these you could make your own music. You got anything to share? Amazing cover, bro!
Good shit dude! Im gonna give this song a try, I feel like it'll help me break out of my current cycle of songs. Thanks for this
Dannnggg. This was flawless. Amazing cover.
lulzjeffy1337 Cheers my brother, Frostbite is next.
Casey Walle Looking forward to it! Would love to see you do Rebirth as well. :D
love your covers dude
+Fortunate Me Cheers borther. :D
+Fortunate Me Haha "borther" I'm sorry brother! :D
Amazing!
you are pretty darn good^^
Dude, you kill all of the Erra songs you cover! Augment is such an awesome album! Any chance you plan to cover Crimson? i've figured out bits and pieces but missing a lot!!! Keep up the sick covers!
Cheers man, it's definitely possible. But right now my guitar has shit itself so I've got to get that fixed first. :(
Amazing dude! Hope you keep covering ERRA. Would love to see a Frostbite cover!
Thanks man, there's always a chance another ERRA cover will be done. Personally I want to do Dementia but it's above my skill level at the moment!
Casey Walle
For dementia, dont use the tabs for parts that u cant do. just find another way to do it by ear, thats what i do when im bored, just listen to songs and wing it by ear
Fuck yeah dude! :D
Holy fucking shit, that was soooo good!! I really wanna learn this song but it looks and sounds so hard haha :/
If you havent already started something else, id say go for rebirth :) its become my favorite off augment besides spirits away
Haven't started any others, ill be doing some solo covers on my 7 string next of various bands until I have money to fix my 6 string.
and I suck at solos, so it's good practice for me.
@@CaseyWalle did you ever do rebirth? It's my "NEW" favorite song from this album
Awesome covers! Subscribed now :) What gauge of string do you use with that ltd?
Cheers, right now I'm using 10 13 17 30 42 54 I find it's the perfect gauge for me!
what do you need to fix your 6 string man? i have so many extra parts laying around in boxes, if i got what you need i'll def give it to you. Since u have done such a good job helping me learn some of ERRAs amazing work:)
Haha man thanks but it's alright I'm planning taking it to a shop this month, I'm not good with the tech side of guitars I think it's something to do with the pickups or the battery. My guitar just gradually gets more crunchy sounding the longer it's on. The clean tone is distorted an the distorted tone turns into like an inbuilt phaser or some shit haha.
Yea ive just got into working on mine within the last year. Its fun if you have the time and money to spend but taking it to a pro is never a bad idea. Good luck with that! I wanna see Frostbite Crimson and Dementia next! 3 of the more difficult tracks on the album, well for me at least, b/c i suck at lead haha. Keep up the good work man!
hey man, ive been trying to figure out some of the other guitar parts you don't cover or have in the tab. Any idea what the rhythm is doing when you play the lead part starting ~0:35seconds?
It doesn't sound too difficult, one trick I used to get the rhythm to come out is to, split
The stereo tracks in Audacity and then invert one. Makes it easier to hear the rhythm. Give it a try.
yea i can barely hear it. thanks for that tip. i use adobe audition to slow them down without changing the pitch. that helps a lot but i never thought about splitting and inverting them. i will give it a shot though:)
how do you get this camera angle? I CANT :(
nice cover.
IbanezPlaya25 Umm I have a tripod! And I put the camera on it, and then place my chair down in front haha. But it takes a while to find a good angle, sometimes it can be about 20 minutes before I'm happy...
i say do either crimson or frostbite next. I cant wait for the day when theres a frostbite solo, especially one properly done. I think theres a cover of every other song except for those 2, so end it with dementia
Haha, you think I'm some kind of super guitarist XD, I'd like to do all of them but I'm not that good. Also my guitar is broken and if I were to do another ERRA song it's probably going to be Frostbite.
But I did learn this completely by ear.
Casey Walle
I love that song cuz i love winter
Casey Walle
Btw, i can kinda play dementia from ear (except for the rly fast parts) even tho my guitar is in drop d and ive only been playing for 7 months
Did you have to take any classes on learning stuff like technique?
+Xeno Zekken Completely self-taught brah.
Alright I just needed to hear it can be done this way!
Xeno Zekken
Sometimes your own technique will be the most comfortable and reliable. Obviously there are bad habits you can develop but if you feel it's good for you then, keep doing what you do. Guitar is just about everything flowing naturally.
FROSTBITE PLEASE
If more people comment wanting Frostbite, then I'll give it a go!
Casey Walle Yes please Frostbite! I would love to see that chorus played out.
What kind of guitar is this?
what guitar are you playing on?
Brock Steel ESP LTD MH-1000
can you re-do this in 2020 holy fuck
Potentially!!
What gauge strings you use??
D'addario EXL117 56-11
Lol no more flop!
Ryan Lawrence Maximum floppage
Casey Walle are you still using these? I've found that set to be perfect for drop C, but I use the 12-60 for this tuning and the flop has decreased by a fair bit while not being too tight for my somewhat weak fingers. lol
+Kayleigh Williams I use 60-12 d'addario strings now!
BTW, i know that erra uses drop a#, but what is the tuning for each string?
C G D# A# F A# smallest to biggest.
