Noted. I think I may have left the camera in the wrong mode. I was using it to take pics early on in the day. Discovered a load more settings for taking still photos with.
The 18T ended up being the winner here for sure.! Great set up for some all around rally work..! Well done.!
Just fitted velineon this morning, I need a larger yard to test it in, kept same gearing and acceleration is plain crazy!

I put a castle system in my stock rally ran 3s and it melted the spur gear just ordered some new parts and should be back to rally car things soon! Nice vid brother

Don’t run that motor on 3s tho. Mine blew out 2 days after buying it smh

Just tested it in the dark with 83/18T gearing on, it's going to accelerate like a slot car!!!!
Be sure to replace the stock slipper clutch and driveshaft with metal upgrades.
Question what spur and pinion did you go with
Good project video i really like this car i have been on the ropes about buying it i want a rally car but dont know weather to build a tamiya kit or a pre built whats your recommendation my friend👍👍💣💣

Been a nightmare to own . Had to change that spool to the slash version. Shocks are Terrible it basically rides on chassis. Tires are trash and stock motor and speed control are a joke. Now in running 6s arrma stock setup but I run it on 3s max 6s now for shocks and tires
Could just be the video, but my stock car looks way faster than yours even with that new pinion. Weird.
It's on 2S (This ESC may take 3S for a short while but it's only 2S rated), but it should in theory be faster on 8.4V Nimh pack as it's the volts that give the speed. That said as stock it's not going to be that qucik when the stock pinion is 12T and the 30mph speed pinion is actually a 25T! That's a huge difference in pinion size don't ya' think? I'll try it on a nimh pack this afternoon with the GPS on it
@@DriftomaniacsRC I run mine on 2s as well, lipo.
Not sure on why mine looks slower, I did a speed test of it on the stock gearing on video a short while back. Velineon going in soon. I've tried it with a 73/22T combo on the stock brushed motor, very quick but smelt 'warm' in seconds!
Like I said, could have just been a trick of video. ;)
