So to change the oil out frest there's no system in place to extract the old oil but to lift the FULL basin by hand

No, sorry for any confusion. You can use that big spout to dump the oil into a receptacle. At 0:21 he tilts the spout up and you could then slide the drawer back in and place a receptacle under the spout. You can do it all at once or a little at a time.
